Xiao Qingyin was a little surprised: "Your mother moved so quickly?"
Situ Zhi laughed and said, "Perhaps it was the incident of Tan Ruoyan and her mother finding a substitute for Qin that spurred them on, and they can't wait to get rid of the past."
Xiao Qingyin suddenly remembered the headline news of the inaugural issue of "Xiwen" and couldn't help but smile.
"I'll be there when I have time."
"Okay, I'll go back and get ready."
After Situ Zhi finished speaking, he bowed deeply to her.
"Thank you for taking care of me and helping me these past few days."
"Oh, why are you making such a big gesture?" Xiao Qingyin quickly helped her up. "It was just a small favor. Get along well with your mother in the future. If you need any help, just come to me."
Situ Zhi nodded emphatically: "Yes!"
After saying that, she went back to the guest house to pack her luggage and went to find her mother.
As evening fell, Xiao Qingyin found the newly purchased residence of Princess Yongfu at the address she had left behind.
This is a house with only three courtyards, smaller than the main courtyard of Princess Yongfu's original residence.
Xiao Qingyin was a little surprised.
Upon seeing Princess Yongfu, she asked, "Why did Your Highness choose such a small residence?"
Princess Yongfu smiled slightly: "It's just me, Zhizhi, and a few servants living here. How much space do we need?"
several?
The princess's residence originally had at least a hundred people.
"Did the rest of the people stay in the manor?"
"They've been dismissed."
Princess Yongfu smiled.
"Didn't His Majesty issue an edict to abolish the status of the lowly? So I let them go home. The few who stayed behind signed an agreement."
Xiao Qingyin raised an eyebrow: "Your response time is really fast."
"Of course."
Princess Yongfu gave her a deep look.
"If it weren't for you, Zhizhi and I would still be in deep trouble right now."
After learning that Qin Kelan and her daughter Tan Ruoyan had both hired a substitute for Qin, she was stunned for a long time.
Over the years, in order to make that scoundrel Shunyi change his mind, she forced Zhizhi to learn the zither, driving her half-mad.
I'm half-crazy myself.
It turned out that the mother and daughter's piano skills were fake.
Those talents and abilities belong to others.
That's utterly absurd.
She actually wasted her and Zhizhi's time on such an absurd thing.
If Xiao Qingyin hadn't discovered the clues and exposed their scheme, she might have remained completely unaware until her death.
She dreamed until her death of defeating an opponent whose musical skills were likely inferior to her own.
He lived a life that became a joke.
Fortunately, fate was kind to her and Zhizhi.
To free them.
This housewarming meal was actually a thank-you banquet she specially prepared for Xiao Qingyin.
"I just told the kitchen to serve the food. Let's go eat first."
Xiao Qingyin readily agreed: "Okay."
After the meal, Princess Yongfu asked about Yunniang and her daughter: "After their lowly status was revoked, they are no longer under Qin Kelan's control, right?"
“Yes.” Xiao Qingyin nodded. “Yunniang and Qin Kelan’s housekeeper divorced. The Ning family of the orchestra valued their talents and recruited them into the orchestra.”
"With their talent, they shouldn't have to worry about the rest of their lives."
Princess Yongfu laughed heartily.
"I'll have to go see their performance another day."
Upon hearing her say this, Xiao Qingyin immediately understood that she had completely let go of the past.
He then offered a congratulatory greeting: "Congratulations, Your Highness, on starting a new life."
Princess Yongfu smiled and her eyebrows curved: "What is there to congratulate me on? Your marriage to His Majesty is what deserves congratulations. I have prepared some things to add to your dowry, you can take them back later."
"Thank you, then I won't be polite."
Xiao Qingyin said with a smile.
When she was leaving, looking at the chests that filled several carriages, she realized that Princess Yongfu had not prepared "a little bit of stuff," but "a hundred million bits of stuff."
She was both amused and exasperated: "Your Highness, you're exaggerating too much. Anyone who didn't know better would think I ransacked the princess's residence."
Princess Yongfu reassured her, "Don't worry, I've saved some for Zhizhi."
Xiao Qingyin thought for a moment and then accepted it.
She can give it back to Situ Zhi when she gets married.
She waved goodbye to Princess Yongfu and Situ Zhi, and got into the carriage.
Night had fallen, and the streets were wet from the recent rain. The streetlights reflected in the puddles, creating a reddish glow.
As they turned the corner, a carriage came from the opposite direction and nearly collided with them.
The coachman narrowly managed to rein in the horse.
The carriage didn't stop; it merely swerved slightly to the side and passed by, brushing past their carriage.
Xiao Qingyin asked the coachman, "Which household is that from?"
"The Shunyi Marquis's Residence".
The driver replied.
Xiao Qingyin leaned out of the carriage window, looking in the direction the carriage was heading, and wondered if the Earl of Shunyi had come to see Princess Yongfu.
This is truly a rare occurrence.
Logically, he should have gone to find Yunniang.
After all, Yunniang was the one who truly possessed superb musical skills.
It's a pity she's already gone; I can't have a taste of her beauty now.
"Let's go back to the manor early, it might rain again later."
She said to the coachman.
"good."
The wheels turned, the carriage continued on its way, leading the other carriages carrying the dowry away.
Behind them, the carriage of the Marquis of Shunyi's mansion stopped in front of Princess Yongfu's new residence.
The man who stepped out of the carriage was none other than the Earl of Shunyi.
There were no guards at the gate, quite unlike the princess's residence. He stood in front of the gate, hesitated for a moment, and then knocked on the door knocker.
The woman who came out to open the door was Princess Yongfu's maid. She was surprised to see the Earl of Shunyi.
"I would like to see Your Highness."
