Chapter 157 Qin Yang's Arrival

"My grandfather is in serious trouble! You must go and save him, save the Chen family!"

Chen Yuqi was practically begging.

Qin Yang was silent for a few seconds on the other end of the phone.

He could sense Chen Yuqi's anxiety and fear.

He knew that things were definitely not simple.

Otherwise, Old Master Chen wouldn't have been so eager for him to step forward.

"Yuqi, don't worry, I'm coming right away!"

Qin Yang said in a deep voice.

"Calm down and tell me, where is your grandfather?"

"At...at the Chen family's old residence!"

Chen Yuqi quickly said.

"Okay, I understand."

Qin Yang hung up the phone.

He stood up, walked to the window, and looked out at the night.

The night in Haicheng is brightly lit and bustling with traffic.

But Qin Yang felt a sense of unease.

He knew that tonight was destined to be a sleepless night.

Although the Chen family was not his own, he had single-handedly helped them rise to prominence.

Over the years, the Chen family has provided him with a lot of resources, and can be considered part of his sphere of influence.

He couldn't just stand by and watch the Chen family be wiped out.

He couldn't just sit idly by, both morally and logically.

Qin Yang took a deep breath and calmed himself down.

He turned around, walked out of the room, and his figure disappeared into the vast night.

He was incredibly fast, like a bolt of lightning, shattering the tranquility of the night sky.

He had to get to the Chen family's old house as soon as possible to prevent the tragedy from happening.

Are you stalling for time?

Chen Junshan stared coldly at Old Master Chen, his eyes sharp, as if trying to see right through him.

Inside the old Chen family mansion, the atmosphere in the antique hall was so heavy it was suffocating.

The mahogany furniture exuded a faint woody fragrance, but it couldn't mask the gunpowder smell permeating the air.

Chen Junshan was dressed in a black Tang suit; he was tall and imposing.

He stood in the center of the hall with his hands behind his back, looking like a fearsome god.

Old Master Chen sat in the armchair, his face pale, with fine beads of sweat on his forehead.

He held a purple clay teapot tightly in his hand, the body of which was already hot from his grip.

"I've always known."

Chen Junshan's voice was deep and cold, like a piece of ice that struck Old Master Chen's heart.

"I'd like to see who you can wait for!"

A cruel smile curled at the corner of Chen Junshan's lips, his eyes filled with mockery and disdain.

He was like a cat toying with a dying mouse.

Grandpa Chen took a deep breath and then slowly exhaled, as if to expel all the stale air from his chest.

His hands trembled slightly, and the purple clay teapot made a soft "clunking" sound.

As expected, Chen Junshan saw through it.

Old Master Chen felt a pang of bitterness in his heart. He knew that his little tricks were no match for the old fox Chen Junshan.

Now that things have come to this, he has nothing left to hide.

He looked up at Chen Junshan, his eyes filled with helplessness and sorrow.

"Junshan, do you really intend to wipe them all out?"

Old Master Chen's voice was hoarse, with a hint of pleading.

Chen Junshan sneered, a ruthless glint flashing in his eyes.

"To exterminate them all? Chen Tiannan, you're exaggerating."

"I'm just taking back what's rightfully mine."

"When you kicked me out of the Chen family back then, did you ever imagine that things would turn out this way?"

Chen Junshan's voice grew louder and louder, filled with resentment and anger.

He approached Old Master Chen step by step, his eyes burning with the flames of revenge.

"you……"

Old Master Chen was so overwhelmed by Chen Junshan's imposing aura that he could hardly breathe. He opened his mouth, but couldn't say anything.

Memories flooded back, filling him with regret and self-reproach.

Back then, for the sake of the family's interests, he sacrificed Chen Junshan and expelled him from the family.

Now that Chen Junshan has returned for revenge, he has nothing to say.

This is the result of the cause he sowed.

He has to bear it himself.

At this critical moment, a voice broke the deathly silence in the hall.

"Grandpa Chen, I've arrived."

Qin Yang appeared at the door, dressed in a black trench coat, looking travel-worn, clearly having rushed over without stopping.

His eyes were sharp as an eagle's, scanning everyone in the hall.

Finally, his gaze fell on Chen Junshan.

Chen Junshan also turned his head to look at Qin Yang.

Their eyes met in mid-air, as if sparks were flying.

Chen Junshan looked Qin Yang up and down, his eyes filled with contempt and disdain.

"This is the reinforcement you've been waiting for?"

Chen Junshan chuckled, his tone full of sarcasm.

"Chen Tiannan, you're really getting worse as you get older."

"You actually expect some greenhorn to save you?"

Chen Junshan shook his head, seemingly very disappointed with Old Master Chen's choice.

"Get out of here!"

Chen Junshan suddenly waved his hand, shooing Qin Yang away like he was swatting flies.

"This is none of your business, don't go looking for trouble."

His tone was extremely arrogant, showing no regard for Qin Yang whatsoever.

In his eyes, Qin Yang was nothing but a greenhorn, not worth mentioning at all.

Qin Yang's eyes instantly turned cold. He walked into the hall step by step, each step steady and powerful.

His aura gradually rose with each step he took.

"You're the one who should get out!"

Qin Yang's voice wasn't loud, but it was full of authority and power.

His gaze was like a sharp sword, piercing straight into Chen Junshan's heart.

Chen Junshan's expression changed; he sensed the dangerous aura emanating from Qin Yang.
