Chapter 16: Spring Breeze and Rain

"It's okay..." Gu Yuyan snorted coldly, "This princess just wants to ask how my body is? Is it healthy?"

Jiang Li looked at the little girl's awkward expression and deliberately dragged out her tone: "You..."

After a pause, he sighed again, "To be honest, the princess's condition...is not optimistic."

"What did you say?!" Gu Yuyan put down her chopsticks as if she had heard the biggest joke in the world. "Quack!"

"presumptuous!"

Gu Qingchen spoke coldly, then looked at Jiang Li.

With just one glance, I saw through her thoughts and felt helpless. This girl.

Jiang Li sighed, "Princess, do you often feel dry mouth? Do you find it hard to swallow bland food and always want to eat something spicy and flavorful? Do you feel sleepy all the time? Do you not want to go out for a stroll when you have nothing to do? Even..."

When Jiang Li whispered the last symptom into Gu Yuyan's ear, Gu Yuyan's face turned pale instantly.

How did Jiang Li know that she went to the toilet less frequently?!

"Alas..." Jiang Li sat back down and shook her head helplessly, "The reason your figure is so plump now, Princess, is not because you have a good appetite or good digestion, but because you are already deeply poisoned."

"Clang."

The bowl in front of Gu Yuyan fell to the ground and broke into pieces. She was stunned.

Jiang Li gently shook her head at the Queen Mother and said, "But Princess, don't worry. This poison is easy to cure."

Gu Yuyan no longer had the arrogant look she had just now. She bit her lip and looked at Jiang Li pitifully.

God knows how much she hates her current figure.

When she was a child, her father always said that she was chubby and was the most blessed and lovely little princess. Her mother also liked to feed her all kinds of delicious food more and more. Even if she didn’t want to eat, she would not refuse to make her mother happy.

But as she grew up, everyone's eyes on her gradually changed. There was no maid fatter than her in the palace. She often heard people say behind her back that she was really good at eating and was as fat as a pig. No wonder the emperor no longer visited her and her daughter.

She cried secretly in the Imperial Garden countless times. If the Emperor's uncle hadn't accidentally seen her and said with a smile, "Xiao Jiu is still so cute," she might have lost her mind long ago.

But now Jiang Li said that being fat was not her fault, it was because she was poisoned! And this poison can be cured!

"So, after the poison is removed, will I still be so fat?"

Gu Yuyan asked cautiously.

"Of course not." Jiang Li asked for paper and pen, filled three sheets of paper, and handed them to Gu Yuyan. "From today on, your meals must follow the instructions here. Come to me every five days and I will give you acupuncture to detoxify you."

Jiang Li had a cautious expression on her face.

In fact, the Ninth Princess had an enlarged stomach when she was a child, and the dampness and toxins were too heavy. If she adjusted her diet, lost her temper less, and exercised more, and then expelled the dampness and toxins, a girl of this age could lose weight quickly.

"Actually, is there something wrong with the Queen Mother?"

On the carriage back home, Gu Qingchen asked about the doubts in his heart.

Jiang Li didn't hide anything and revealed the Queen Mother's poisoning. "Attitude is very important," Jiang Li explained. "Instead of telling the Queen Mother the truth, it's better to let her think it's an old ailment. Once the headache subsides, it will be better for her health if she's happy."

"Leave the detoxification to me. I just need Your Highness to find out who dared to attack the Queen Mother as soon as possible."

The man's eyes flickered when he heard this, and the inexplicable emotion in his heart became even stronger.

"Thank you." Jiang Li's good intentions made him feel protected again.

He was like a dead tree without roots. Because of the girl in front of him, he wanted to try and feel the gentle breeze and rain of the world.

Jiang Li raised the corner of his mouth to smile, "Your Highness, you are too kind."

It was clearly a very simple conversation, but Mo Qi, who was driving the carriage, heard a hint of romance in it, and Bai Zhi, who was sitting next to him, blushed.

"Big girl, there's a post for you."

As soon as I arrived at the Jiang Mansion, the housekeeper came over.

Jiang Li took it, but before she opened it, Jiang Shengsheng came out from the second door.

When she saw her, she quickly stepped forward and took her hand, saying delicately, "Big sister, you're finally back. Shengsheng has been looking for you several times."

Jiang Shengsheng smiled at her? That must be a trick!

A moment later, the nanny beside Zhou came over and said, "Miss, the master and the mistress want you to come over."

"Go quickly, big sister. Shengsheng will come to see you later."

The harshness in her eyes was almost written on her face, yet she still managed to put on a flattering look. Jiang Li was somewhat impressed by her.

"Mo Qi, keep an eye on Jiang Shengsheng for the next two days and let me know if there's anything you see."

The last move had already been made, and she was still curious as to whether she could catch any fish.

"Father, are you looking for me?"

Jiang Sheng had never looked at his eldest daughter like this before.

Since Rou Niang passed away, Sheng Sheng was born soon after. He had forgotten when he started to subconsciously ignore Jiang Li.

The girl in front of me stood quietly without saying a word, her face as bright as morning glory, her eyes and eyebrows revealing a hint of wisdom and generosity.

She doesn't look like Rouniang, but more like a girl from a wealthy family.

"How do you know Prince Jingling?"

After a while, Jiang Sheng asked.

Originally thought that being able to marry into the Qin family was already a great honor for the Jiang family, but unexpectedly, Jiang Li was able to get a marriage granted by the emperor, and her husband was the god of war of the Daning Dynasty.

"I met you on the road." Jiang Li lowered her eyes nonchalantly. Tired of standing, she walked to the side and sat down. She raised her hand slightly, and Bai Zhi immediately brought her a cup of tea. She picked up the tea lid, gently skimmed off the foam, blew on it, and took a sip.

Jiang Sheng felt a lump in his throat. "Do you think I'm just picking cabbages? You can run into the prince just by going out?!"
