"Yingxue, what did you say?" Lu Xueqing grabbed Su Yingxue, her face filled with disbelief.
With red eyes and choked sobs, Su Yingxue recounted what had happened the previous night.
"I heard a gunshot and then I saw Lin Yu fall off the cliff!"
"I ran down the mountain, but I couldn't find Lin Yu's body..."
"I don't know what to do anymore. Before I came back, I went to the police station to report the crime, sob sob sob!"
Su Yingxue could no longer hold back, squatted down, hugged her knees, and burst into tears.
Lu Xueqing turned around blankly, trembling, and murmured, "Lin Yu... is dead?"
"No, this is impossible!" Lu Xueqing couldn't accept it.
After three years of marriage, she had long regarded Lin Yu as family, and she couldn't believe that Lin Yu was dead!

“This isn’t your fault!” Lu Xueqing said, “General Feng Jiu told me yesterday that this was all a conspiracy by the Yamaguchi Trading Company…”
Lu Xueqing repeated what Feng Jiu had said yesterday.
Lin Yu said with a wry smile, "Yingxue, to be honest, it was me who dragged you into this. If I hadn't been a substitute for the young marshal, none of this would have happened! So I thought to myself, I must save you. If anything happens to you, I will never have peace of mind for the rest of my life, and Xueqing will never forgive me!"
Lu Xueqing crossed her arms and said, "Hmph! You know what you're doing. If anything happens to Yingxue, I certainly won't let you off the hook!"
"No, it's okay!" Su Yingxue smiled awkwardly, but seeing the couple's harmonious demeanor, she suddenly felt a little sad.
"Oh, right, I have some things to take care of at my clinic. If there's nothing else, I'll be leaving now. You all should get some rest!"
After Su Yingxue finished speaking, she quickly turned around, walked out, got into the Audi, and drove away.
After Lin Yu left, Lu Xueqing sat on the sofa, her face somewhat cold.

Lu Xueqing immediately shrugged, "Go away, I hate you!"
"Wife, I was wrong!"

Lin Yu sighed and said, "I shouldn't have left you last night!"
"But you still abandoned them!" Lu Xueqing's eyes reddened without her realizing it. "Even if you knew General Feng Jiu was nearby, what if they were late? Aren't you worried at all?"
"I'm sorry! It's all my fault!" Lin Yu said, looking guilty and speechless.
He felt comfortable leaving because he had absolute trust in Feng Jiu's abilities.
But his wife might not understand, so he could only honestly admit his mistake!
Fortunately, Lu Xueqing was a reasonable woman. After crying for a while, she vented her emotions and finally calmed down.
"Alright, let's leave it at that. You have to promise me that from now on, no matter what, you will never abandon me again!" Lu Xueqing pouted, making Lin Yu swear.

Lin Yu knew that they were probably here to confront Wu Xueqin, but he wasn't afraid and immediately headed to the governor's mansion.

"If you want me to stop hating you, it would require Mom to come back to life. Can you do that?" Lin Yu said sarcastically.
"You!" Lin Yuanlong was furious.
"Alright, I won't argue with you anymore! I've already arranged for a convoy to send Wu Xueqin's body and Lin Chuang to Yandu! From now on, you are the only young marshal of Fengfu. I hope you will shoulder your responsibilities and stop acting on impulse!" Lin Yuanlong said earnestly.
