Once outside, Lin Yu finally caught up with Lu Xueqing by the roadside.
He was about to grab his wife's hand when she shook him off.
"Speak, what exactly do you want to do in Xidu?" Lu Xueqing asked coldly, glancing sideways at him.
Lin Yu smiled. "Honey, we've been apart for so long, your anger should have subsided by now, right? I came here today to make up with you, of course. Let's reconcile, shall we?"
As Lin Yu spoke, he stepped forward to hug her, but she pushed him away with both hands.
"Stop right there!"
"You just arrived in Xidu and you've already hit my best friend. Is this what you call wanting to make up?" Lu Xueqing was speechless and angry.
Lin Yu shrugged. "You saw it too. She introduced you to someone and ruined our relationship. Why would I keep her around if I didn't beat her up? According to military law, ruining a military marriage is a criminal offense. Besides, I'm the young marshal. It's already a mercy that I didn't exterminate her entire family!"
Lu Xueqing stared coldly at Lin Yu, "So, in your eyes, everyone else is just an ant, is that it? You're high and mighty, you're amazing, you can kill whoever you want! Fine! Then kill me too!"
Lin Yu quickly shook his head, "What are you saying? If I kill you, won't I be a widow? That's impossible! Okay, don't be angry!"
Lin Yu tried to step forward again, but was ruthlessly pushed away.
Lu Xueqing stared with her beautiful eyes, clearly still angry, because this guy obviously hadn't realized his mistake!
“There are many ways to handle problems, is hitting someone the only way? Can’t you talk things out properly? I think Xiyan is right, you have violent tendencies!”
"How could that be!" Lin Yu retorted. "It's been three years, have I laid a single finger on you? I was just acting impulsively just now. I can't help but think about things concerning you!"
Lu Xueqing took a deep breath and shook her head. "Fine, even if you did it for me, I understand! But hitting someone is wrong! Come inside with me now and apologize to Xiyan! I can let this matter go!"
"You want me to apologize to her?" Lin Yu chuckled. "I can't do that, because she doesn't deserve it!"
"You!" Lu Xueqing clenched her fists tightly.
"Fine! Then leave now and don't come looking for me! I never want to see you again!!"
After Lu Xueqing finished speaking, she walked towards the restaurant.
"Hey, honey!"
Just as Lin Yu was about to chase after them, his phone vibrated. It was a call from the Shen family!
He frowned, then accepted it.
Immediately from inside came Shen Manshu's delicate cry, "Dr. Lin, help me!!"
