“Alive.”
Shi Nian breathed a sigh of relief, a smile appeared on her lips, "That's good."
She half-jokingly eased the atmosphere, "You just told me to calm down. I thought something happened to her."
Shi Nian saw that Han Ye was hesitant to speak, and frowned, "Mr. Han, what happened?"
She paused and asked worriedly, "Is Sihan injured?"
Han Ye didn't say anything, but Shi Nian got a positive answer from his eyes and expression.
Her heart tightened in an instant, and she asked anxiously, "How is he? Is he seriously injured? Didn't you say they were just providing help and there was no danger?"
Han Ye quickly comforted her, "Sister-in-law, don't worry, Brother Han only had a minor injury on his arm, it's nothing serious."
Shi Nian was absent-minded and insisted on standing at the door of the police station waiting.
About half an hour later, a large number of police cars drove into the compound.
Shi Nian stood on tiptoe and looked around, searching for Feng Sihan.
"Nian Nian."
When Shi Nian heard the familiar voice, he quickly turned around and looked to the side.
She saw Feng Sihan getting out of the car and trotted over to him, "Sihan, is your arm okay?"
Feng Sihan's gaze passed over him and fell on Han Ye, who was not far away and was gesturing at him, signaling him to cheer up.
He immediately understood that Han Ye did not listen to him and told Shi Nian about his injury without permission.
Helplessness flashed in his eyes. He took off his coat and put it on Shi Nian, "Niannian, I'm fine. Your foot injury hasn't healed yet, don't run. It's cold outside, let's go in first."
Shi Nian saw his bandaged arm with faint traces of blood on the bandage. She frowned for a moment and asked in a louder voice, "You're bleeding, how come you're okay?"
Feng Sihan was afraid that she would worry, so he put his arms behind his back and asked, "Aren't you going to see your friend?"
Shi Nian was reminded and quickly looked behind him, "Where is Xinyue?"
As she finished speaking, she saw out of the corner of her eye that the door of the police car next to her opened, and a dishevelled figure walked out, supported by a policeman.
When Shi Nian saw Zhao Xinyue, her eyes turned red. She staggered to her side and hugged her in her arms, "Xinyue, where have you been? I was so worried about you these days. I was worried every day, afraid that something would happen to you!"
"Wow, wow, I thought I would never see you again in this life!"
Zhao Xinyue was no longer as lively as before, still looking frightened. She buried her head in Shi Nian's shoulder and sobbed softly.
Feng Sihan stepped forward and said, "Niannian, let's go back first. I'll take you to the hotel after she finishes taking the statement."
Shi Nian patted Zhao Xinyue's back, but Zhao Xinyue hugged her tighter, "Niannian, can you come with me?"
"Okay, I'll accompany you."
Shi Nian took her arm, and the two of them walked to the door. Zhao's father and mother ran towards them.
Zhao Xinyue felt a lump in her throat and threw herself into the arms of the two men, bursting into tears.
Shi Nian took the opportunity to walk to Feng Sihan, "Sihan, how did you find Xinyue?"
"We contacted the police in Country M, and they happened to uncover a fraud organization that involved several Chinese citizens, and Zhao Xinyue happened to be one of them."
Shi Nian was anxious, "How did Xinyue get involved with the fraud organization?"
She paused, "Is there something wrong with the woman who approached her with bad intentions? She used the excuse of going on a trip with Xinyue to actually kidnap her and commit a crime?"
"Yes. Your friend was lucky. Not long after he left the country, the local police uncovered the gang and rescued him. He suffered no substantial harm."
Shi Nian had read a lot of news about human trafficking and fraud crimes recently, but she had never thought that these things would happen to people close to her.
She saw many police officers escorting people to the police station, and she couldn't help but worry, "Sihan, if Xinyue is forced to do something illegal, will she be held responsible?"
"Her case is relatively minor and it is an emergency escape. After completing the record and cooperating with the investigation, she can leave."
Shi Nian breathed a sigh of relief and watched Zhao Xinyue enter the hall accompanied by her family, and then she became worried about the injury on Feng Sihan's arm.
The red color on the white bandage stung her eyes. Shi Nian raised her hand carefully, but retracted her fingers for fear of touching his wound.
She frowned, "Mr. Han told me that you were going to take over. How did you get hurt suddenly? Did you have a conflict with someone?"
"When I was handing over the person, a man tried to run away, but I held him down. I didn't notice the dagger he was hiding, and when I handed him over to my colleague, I accidentally got stabbed."
Feng Sihan paused, "It's just a minor injury."
Shi Nian felt distressed, raised her eyes to meet his burning gaze, her heart trembled slightly, and she couldn't help asking, "What's wrong?"
"You're not mad at me anymore."
Shi Nian was in a complicated mood and muttered softly, "Why are you still thinking about that?"
She lowered her eyes, "I wasn't angry at all. I acted unhappy just because I felt sorry for you and I couldn't repay you for your kindness to me."
"Nian Nian, I never thought of asking you to pay me back."
"I know."
Shi Nian sighed, her eyes warmed. "It's because you treat me wholeheartedly that it's even harder for me to accept... Since I was a child, Liu Chunyan and the others have always treated me harshly. Apart from my sister and friends, no one has ever been as honest and generous to me as you are. I, I don't know how to accept it."
She blamed herself, "Did you get hurt because I distracted you? I've been missing you since you left in a hurry this morning."
Feng Sihan's brows relaxed, and he raised his hand to hold her slightly cold hand. "It has nothing to do with you. I was talking to a colleague at the time, and I let my guard down against the person I was controlling."
He added, "On the way back, I also thought seriously about giving money to Wang Fan. I shouldn't have made the decision without your permission.
