Feng Sihan looked calm as he returned the phone to Zhao Xinyue. "My colleague bought a phone of the same brand and color. I was curious and wanted to see its configuration."
Zhao Xinyue explained, "This one seems to be new. If you want it, I'll ask Brother Ning how much it cost."
"No, I just changed my phone not long ago and have no intention of changing to a new one."
Feng Sihan saw Shi Nian out of the corner of his eye and changed the subject, asking her, "Niannian, do you like it? If you like it, I'll give you one too."
Shi Nian waved her hands quickly, "I just changed my phone, too. Did you buy it? Did you forget?"
Zhao Xinyue smiled and poked her arm with her finger, "Nian Nian, your husband is so good to you. He just wanted to give you a gift."
Shi Nian raised the corners of his lips slightly, grabbed Zhao Xinyue's naughty hand, and signaled her with his eyes to stop making trouble.
Feng Sihan went to the living room, leaving the space for the two of them.
Shi Nian chatted with Zhao Xinyue for a while before leaving with Feng Sihan.
"Si Han, is there any useful information in Zhang Jiahao's notebook?"
Shi Nian waited for a long while but got no response. He turned his head to look at Feng Sihan but did not attract his attention.
She took two big steps forward, but Feng Sihan seemed not to see her and walked straight towards her.
"Sihan!"
Feng Sihan was brought back to reality by the voice. He stopped in time and saw Shi Nian approaching. He put his arm around her waist and said, "Niannian, what's wrong?"
Shi Nian blushed and took a step to the side. "I was talking to you just now, but you ignored me."
Feng Sihan pulled his arm away from her waist and curled his fingers, "Sorry, I was just thinking about something. What did you tell me?"
Shi Nian asked the question again, and after a few seconds, he heard him say, "Those numbers are now no longer in service. Zhang Jiahao looked at his notes and still refused to answer, but we have successfully persuaded Mrs. Zhang to give in and cooperate with us in our work to reduce her sentence."
Shi Nian clenched her fists. "From Xinyue's description, the people who sold drugs to Zhang Jiahao and those criminals abroad seem to be from the same group. Si Han, you must catch the bad guys quickly and don't let them escape. Avenge my bestie and the victims."
"We will."
Shi Nian's foot injury was basically healed, and he no longer felt any pain as long as he didn't run too hard.
Even so, Feng Sihan still insisted on sending her to work.
The next morning, after they had breakfast, Shi Nian got into Feng Sihan's car.
Feng Sihan sent Shi Nian to the door of the pet grooming shop and watched her enter the store before driving away.
Shi Nian saw Fang Ning standing next to the cabinet and quickly walked over, "Senior, where is the key to this cabinet?"
"Did you move this cupboard yesterday?"
"It moved, but I didn't open it. I was looking for a toy for a small dog yesterday, but couldn't find it. Did I put it in there?"
Shi Nian met Fang Ning's gaze and paused, "Senior, what's wrong? Is there something wrong with this cabinet?"
Fang Ning pulled the handle and sighed helplessly, "I used to store sundries in this cupboard. After I locked it, I lost the key somewhere and I still haven't found it."
Shi Nian looked around and asked, "Do you want me to find a hammer to pry it open?"
Fang Ning stopped her, "No, there's nothing useful in there. Do you want toys for small dogs?"
Shi Nian nodded quickly, "The customer abandoned a little Teddy dog yesterday, and I wanted to get some toys for it."
"Toys for small dogs are not kept here. They are in the warehouse. Come with me."
Fang Ning took a large box off the shelf in the warehouse and pushed it in front of Shi Nian. "These are all the stock in the store. Take your pick. If there's anything you want, I'll ask the manufacturer to send some new stock."
Customers soon came into the store. Shi Nian put away the pet toys and quickly got busy.
A customer brought an Alaskan dog. Shi Nian rolled up his sleeves, took the dog and took it to take a bath.
The size of an adult Alaskan was almost catching up with her. After Shi Nian washed it and changed the water, she sat on the small stool to rest.
A silver light flashed in the corner, attracting Shi Nian's attention. He stood up and walked over.
There is a bunch of keys in the corner deep at the bottom of the cabinet. I don't know when they fell there.
Shi Nian thought of the lost cabinet key that Fang Ning mentioned, so she lay on the ground and reached in to grab the key.
The key was deep inside, and her arms were not long enough for her fingers to reach it. She heard a dog barking and had no choice but to get up temporarily.
When Alaska saw her looking at her, it wagged its tail even harder, as if it wanted to break free from the rope and jump out of the pool.
Shi Nian hurried over, patted its head soothingly, turned on the faucet, and continued to shower it.
An hour later, Shi Nian finished taking care of Alaska and led it out of the bathroom, but when she came out she saw only customers waiting outside.
Shi Nian returned the dog to him and sent them away.
She didn't find Fang Ning. Before going back, she picked up the broom in the corner, went back to the bathroom, and hooked out the key in the corner.
She got the key and stood up with her hands. She caught a glimpse of a figure in her peripheral vision. "Senior, I found a bunch of keys. Can you see if it's the one you lost?"
“Nian Nian…”
When Shi Nian heard the familiar voice, his brows furrowed for a moment.
She looked up and saw Wang Fan, and clenched the broom in her hand, "Who told you to come to our store?"
Wang Fan held up the kitten in his arms and said, "Isn't your store open for people to come in? I'm giving the cat a bath and came to see you while I was there."
Shi Nian glanced at the cat in his hand and frowned even more deeply, "Is this cat three months old? Such a young cat has not received all the vaccinations and cannot be bathed."
She glared at Wang Fan, "It just so happened that I had something to talk to you about, but you came here first."
Hearing this, Wang Fan's smile widened, and crow's feet appeared at the corners of his eyes. "Niannian, what do you want to talk to me about? If you miss me, you can send me a text message or call me. My phone is on 24 hours a day..."
