Chapter 53

Chapter 53

The answer was self-evident. This kiss had a sense of almsgiving and a hint of cigarette smoke.

Xiang Mingqi had never been kissed like this before. In the past, his gaze would only stay on her for a few seconds. No matter how passionate the kiss, no matter how stimulating the physical movements, or how provocative, it was all just a show for the commission.

But now, the kiss was genuine and meant for him.

His ears turned red with excitement.

The edge of his lips felt a little wet and sticky. Pei Huai stared at him, looking into his burning brown eyes at a very close distance: "What did you do to me when you lived in my house?" He supported his head with his hands, causing the leather seat to sink, supporting Pei Huai to lower his body.

-

He casually pulled a plastic bag from the chair-back bag and examined it for a moment. This was something Xiang Mingqi had packed in advance, ready to take to his new home. It was a bag full of photos, and most of them were taken when he was fast asleep. He glanced at him and raised his hand to slap him in the face.

This slap made Xiang Mingqi swallow his saliva.

Pei Huai looked down at him from beneath his hair, looking down on him. His features were as stern as an ivory carving, the protrusions and carvings all done to the most exquisite standards. He pressed his hand firmly against his chest, leaving the man beneath him with nowhere to escape.

"Oh my god, this is too much, brother!" Xiang Mingqi's teeth were chattering with pain as his ribs were pressed like this. He held his waist with his hands and couldn't help but arch his body upwards several times.

"I'm asking you."

He was interrupted by an index finger that brushed across his cheek as he leaned over. It pressed lightly against the swelling, a tingling sensation that drew a breath away.

"Ah, I kissed your leg! Bro, it hurts. If you keep going like this, I'm going to cry."

"besides."

"And my belly, my belly, uh, the places you usually don't let you kiss, I seem to have touched them all... Bro, you smell so good, I can't help it."

The hawk-like eyes narrowed slightly: "Pervert."

"Ah, it's my fault. I was too perverted towards my brother..." Before he could finish his words, someone's tiger's mouth clamped down on his jaw like lightning, forcing it upwards. His upper and lower teeth slammed together, and his tongue pressed against the roof of his mouth, making him unable to speak.

Forced to keep his mouth shut, Xiang Mingqi's eyelids bulged slightly and his breathing became heavier.

His reaction was... strange, so strange that Pei Huai frowned. So next, he showed no mercy.

Knowing he deserved it, Xiang Mingqi said nothing, gritted his teeth, and even stopped groaning when his face was twisted by the slap. But he still couldn't help but hold the senior's waist tightly and lean in to smell his abdomen.

The streamlined muscles on the sides of the waist move as they stretch, sometimes tense, sometimes relaxed, which has a unique appeal.

When his shoulders were drenched in sweat from the pain, Xiang Mingqi felt dizzy and bit his senior's finger. He snorted in pain, "Brother, I can't take it anymore. You didn't show any expression at all just now. You were so fierce, I liked it so much..."

Pei Huai frowned because of his biting, and his deep black eyes looked from his shoulders to his abdomen.

He didn't say anything, but just twisted his chin with his hand and slapped his still red and swollen cheek. Xiang Mingqi shrugged and straightened his upper body.

"My brother's death and the fact that I saved your life can be written off. But you stalked me, deceived me, and imprisoned me. Don't think you can let it go so easily." Pei Huai raised his chin, raised his waist, and pinched his leg again. "Bear it."

Xiang Mingqi's retaliatory actions were too much to resist. He gritted his teeth several times, his jaw bulging noticeably. Pei Huai looked down, his long hair, carefully tied loose, not even a strand out of place. His beautiful muscles were smeared with sweat, and there was a hint of coldness in the corners of his eyes.

Every time he exerted force, the thin or hazy blood vessels on the side of his neck would stand out, making people feel itchy at the tip of their hearts.

"Brother, I'm sorry." Xiang Mingqi breathed heavily.

But no one responded.

The bent index finger touched the wound, no longer applying force, but it became a true caress, beginning to melt his incoherent apology and diluting his remaining ability to speak in the pain.

In the enclosed back seat, the already old car body could hardly withstand that deep and long kiss.

They kissed passionately no less than five times, until Pei Huai's back felt a little sore. He leaned forward and tried to reach over the other person to get some water from the hanging bag.

"I want to know about your past." Xiang Mingqi took the opportunity to bite his chest, burying his head between the thin muscles and looking up at him, "Brother, Bo Yue said that you have another man who I don't know about."

"No." He reached out and hit him on the mouth, "Don't bite."

"Oh, that's annoying! Your breasts are offering themselves to me, why don't you let me bite them? You're so stingy." Xiang Mingqi grumbled for a long time before changing the subject. "Or are you feeling guilty, so you don't let me mention other men? Humph, I knew you were a heartless man. When you slept with me, were there other handsome guys in your dreams?"

"Don't be a man all the time."

"Then you have to promise to tell me the truth." He began to twist his body in false excitement, supporting his senior's waist and legs from below. "Last time, the time before that, you refused to tell me what kind of person you liked. Brother, can I be your dream male guest?"

"I don't like people with childish personalities."

"Oh, immature men don't have muscles like mine that make snapping sounds when slapped, right, right, brother, don't you think so?"

“…And so do those who lack self-awareness.”

"Hmm, self-awareness is something I've had since I was born." He hugged him tightly with joy, burying his head in his belly and sniffing, "Brother, is there anything else? If you don't have any other requests, just look at me." Then he cupped his cheek with his hands and blinked a few times, "Not a bad face, right?" He hugged his shoulders with both hands and rubbed them up and down, "Isn't the figure anything to say? So, if this isn't a good match, who is? Wow!"

Pei Huai pressed down on his chest and pinched his leg with such force that Xiang Mingqi groaned, "Brother!" The latter didn't dare to get carried away with this topic any longer. He put his hand on his waist, unable to control himself in the pain of his limbs. "I don't dare, I don't dare anymore. You, uh, tell me about your ex-boyfriends again, okay? I was wrong."

“There’s only one person I remember.”

"Where are the others?"

"Dead." Those ivory-black eyes were like the sea in the night fog, emitting a mysterious and distant allure, bottomless and without traces of sadness or joy. "He was a new intern at the firm. His parents were in debt, so he was sold here as a laborer. After six months, he failed the assessment, so the firm sold him to a dock merchant. He didn't want to go, so his limbs were broken and thrown into the sea." He thought for a moment and said, "He looks a bit like you."

Xiang Mingqi forced a smile and said obediently, "How is it similar?"

"character."

"So do you like him? Compared to every relationship you've had in your twenties, you can't get over your first love, right?" The voice faded away, muffled and buzzing.

"No." Pei Huai rarely responded positively.

"Brother, then, who do you like more, him before or me now?" He remained silent until the end. No matter how confused Xiang Mingqi was, he couldn't help but lean on his senior's abdomen and take a deep breath.

Pei Huai lowered his eyes and looked at him without saying a word.

His eyelids fluttered faster and faster, and his brown eyes leaned closer expectantly. Xiang Mingqi rested his chin on his hands, his eyelids gleaming. "Wow, why, why? Is it because I have a likable personality? Is it because I have a great figure? Or are you satisfied with my looks?"

The answerer turned his face away, a barely perceptible hesitation in his voice: "You, are okay."

-

His pupils lit up, as if ignited by the blazing red star at the edge of the Milky Way's center.

Because he remembered that when he ran desperately in the drizzle, with a fishy-sweet taste in his throat, he finally reached the foot of the mountain and explained the situation to the search and rescue team. The adults frantically tried to give him water and check the injuries under his clothes, but he refused.

Without even taking a breath, Xiang Mingqi grabbed one of them by the sleeve and urged him to go to the scene of the accident.

When disaster took his parents away, he too had run wildly, feeling powerless, running in the wind that pulled him into screams. He always felt that he had to catch up with the car that had taken away the two coffins. He had something he wanted to keep.

But he had traveled too far on the long mountain road, and at the end of the rugged road, he was the only one left. So even if he was trapped in the rainstorm, trapped in his memories, and could not find a way out, he was still willing to run towards his fear.

Because he has something he wants to keep.

When Xiang Mingqi arrived at the campsite breathlessly, the search and rescue team had already formed a siege. Protected by the adults, he witnessed the scene unfolding in the clearing.

The young man raised his elbow and lunged at the man who was several times stronger than him. He was unarmed, so he grabbed a stone and smashed it into the man's head and face. The man seemed to feel the threat around him, and he grabbed Pei Huai's neck, trying to strangle him.

At the critical moment, Pei Huai hugged him back, and with his upper body, he rammed his forehead into the other's head. When the headbutt separated, sticky blood splashed from the corner of his forehead.

Pei Huai's arm muscles tensed, his back arched to an exaggerated degree, forcing himself to contend with the adults. Soon, the two of them were exhausted and hugged each other.

Shoulder to shoulder, palms pressed tightly against chins, they writhed and struggled for a moment in the mud. But the twelve-year-old boy was finally pinned down, bitten on the side of his neck. He kicked, but couldn't push away the lips and teeth sucking on his neck. They both remained in this tumbling position, motionless.

At that moment, Xiang Mingqi felt his heart beating. The adults also hurried forward.

But then, the body on top of him twitched backwards. He saw a muddy hand grab the man's shoulder and forcefully push him to the side.

Then, his arms lost all their remaining strength and fell limp to the ground. Pei Huai lay face down in the rain, his chest trembling, his muscles clearly at their limit.

In the center of the man's chest, there was a small fruit knife.

Pei Huai lay there for only a short while before struggling to stand up with the help of the search and rescue team. He stumbled back a few steps, lost his balance, and collapsed into the mud. He turned around and carried a boy out from the weeds.

That might be his brother. Pei Huai hugged him tightly, letting the child cry loudly in his arms. The young man, covered in mud and blood, ignored his own injuries and hugged him, patting his back and frantically trying to comfort him.

Xiang Mingqi stood in the rain, looking at them from a distance that could not be shortened.

He looked at Pei Huai and felt an inexplicable burning pain in his chest.

He wanted to be held, to be held in that person's arms, to have someone whisper loving words to him. He wanted to be loved and watched by this strong, gentle person, as quiet as a stag, yet resolute and determined. He wanted that place.

The rain fell continuously. At the edge where the long river met the long river, he said he wanted to usurp that person's love.
