Chapter 68

Chapter 68

The first time he was taken to the office, it was scorching hot, the cicadas chirping non-stop, and he was sweating as soon as he entered the hallway. The man who led him upstairs was shivering, and before he even entered the office, he could hear the laughter and panting of men and women coming from the office through the door.

"Oh, what a bad time to come! Isaac's hooking up with someone again." The guide shrugged, not quite surprised. "You'll get used to it. This bastard can't control himself, and he's doing something different every day." He slammed the door a few times at the top of his voice. "Alright, that's enough. Didn't you want to meet someone new today?"

"You didn't fucking tell me it was today! Wait a minute, I'm almost done." A low curse came from inside. The next ten minutes were filled with soft moans from different people.

After the noise subsided, they finally received the man's permission to enter. As they entered, they caught him, a cigar between his lips, pulling up his trousers. His honey-colored back muscles were tight and smooth, covered in scars, and his mixed-race face, reminiscent of a cowboy, was so thick that even from a distance, one could almost smell the dry tea on him.

"Child?" He was surprised when he saw Pei Huai.

"Yeah, kid. I told you, when I met him before, he seemed well behaved and did a good job. Aren't you meeting someone new?"

"You should have told me you were just a kid. I'm still smoking, so you two go open the window and clean up the cigarettes on the floor." Isaac turned his back and hurriedly fastened his belt. After giving the order, he drove out the four or five people who were still getting dressed, and when he was done, he put out his cigarette on the table mat.

He moved an old sofa for Pei Huai to sit on.

"Is it hot outside?"

Nodded.

"Then sit down for a while. There's no air conditioning here, so I'll let the fan blow towards you." Isaac frantically fiddled with the net, dragged a stool over and sat down in front of him. "How old are you?"

"twelve."

"You look younger than your age. Those idiots who were recruiting didn't even tell me. I assumed the new employees were in their twenties or thirties."

Seeing Pei Huai blinking, not knowing how to respond, he asked again, "You're working at such a young age? You should be living in the dormitory, right?" He remembered something and went to the desk drawer to grab a handful of candies. "Are you used to it these past few days?"

Nodded.

"Eat it. One, two, three, four, five... enough for you to eat until the afternoon." Isaac counted the candies and poured them all over him. "Don't be polite with me."

Later, Isaac asked about his family background, his studies, his family and resume, and finally why he came out to work alone. Pei Huai answered all of them truthfully. After listening, the man was silent for a few minutes, reaching into his back pocket, as if to take out a cigarette case, but when his eyes glanced at Pei Huai sitting across from him, he pulled his hand back.

"Are you adapting to the work at hand?"

Pei Huai shook his head honestly.

"What's wrong with you? Is the work they gave you too difficult? Otherwise, you can come and help me out. I'm in need of a secretary."

"It's not difficult."

"Then why don't you adapt?"

"I can do it. They're asking for a tow."

Isaac laughed out loud when he heard his serious complaint. "You don't understand. Delaying delivery is a big way to make money. It's no surprise that a kid like you thinks things have to be done to perfection. Okay, anything else?"

Shake your head.

"If nothing else, come over to me next time. I'll have someone assemble a desk for you so you can work next to me."

Pei Huai looked up at him but didn't respond. Isaac suddenly felt that this boy's features were truly handsome, with a youthful clarity and purity. He looked good without any expression, and even better with a hint of bewilderment.

"Unlike your previous work, I provide hands-on guidance. You must put these skills into practice and help the firm clear obstacles."

"good."

Isaac smiled, revealing his perfect teeth. "Your 'yes' now doesn't count. If I asked you to go out and kill someone on the street right now, and come back to me with your head, would you do it?"

The boy pondered the meaning of the words for a moment and asked, "So you want it? The head."

"Why are you so serious? I'm not so crazy as to force a child to kill someone." He stood up and put on his leather jacket on the back of the sofa. "I'm almost twenty years older than you. If you want someone's head, you can take it yourself. It's not your turn yet."

After that, Isaac really taught Pei Huai a lot of things as he said before: punches, kicks, joint techniques, elbows, naked chokes, cold weapons, firearms and information tracking.

After an archery training session, Isaac left him and said that his hair had reached his shoulders and he was thinking about helping to tidy it up.

"Ah Huai's hair has grown long." The man bit the comb and grabbed a strand of hair from the back of his head. Neither the left nor the right one looked right. "Why don't you go find a shop to get it cut short?"

Pei Huai refused firmly.

"What can I do? I don't know how to braid anyone's hair. Forget it, stop staring at me like that. I'll try again, and you can just learn the easier part."

The comb got stuck in his hair and before he could straighten it out a few times, Pei Huai immediately raised his hand to grab him and prevent him from moving.

"pain."

"Is it too tight? Okay, I'll just tie it up for you. I won't be responsible if it looks ugly. It's strange, why does your hair always stick up in places..."

——On the fifth day after the hair was tied up, the truth came to light.

Isaac was slapped awake from his sleep, resting his head on his lover's arm. He was about to get angry, but when he saw it was Pei Huai, his temper vanished. He threw back the covers and sat up. Three or four people lay across his bed, their clothes scattered everywhere. The traces of affection on his neck, face, and lips hadn't yet faded.

He sighed and sat down on the bed to tie the child's hair.

"Where are you going today? You asked me to comb your hair so early in the morning."

"Play."

“…I’m impressed.”

The woman leaned against the pillow, stretched lazily, and watched with great interest the scene of the "deep love" between the two men: "Your child's hair is naturally curly, starting from the roots. It's not severe, but it will look frizzy if you don't take good care of it."

"So what should I buy?"

"You should have essential oils, conditioner, or something like that on hand, right? You've been taking care of a kid for so long, and you don't even know this."

"I'm going to train my little genius. He's amazing. He learns quickly and can persevere through even the most intense training. I guess I won't have to worry about him when he goes on missions in the future."

"That's right. With such a messy private life, how can you take care of a child? Just be thankful that you don't have another one." The female companion who chose to watch from the bedside lit a cigarette and raised her eyes sarcastically.

"Isaac."

"Hmm? Don't move around. You know I can't tie my hair more easily than I can tie vegetables. Look, it's crooked."

"Do you have children?" Pei Huai looked up and asked him.

"I don't have that honor." The rough calluses on his palms stroked the boy's cheek, and the gentleness when the hair tie was loosened and then tied again was shocking. "Ah Huai, I don't know what a father who became a monk halfway should do. But I like to pamper you and do all kinds of hair for you. If you want to call me dad, I guess I'll be happy."

It was on that day that Pei Huai knew that from the moment they met, Isaac's fatherly control would change two lives.

-

Fifteen minutes after entering the locker room, the first game kicked off.

The stagehands gave Pei Huai a thorough inspection at the stage entrance. His half-face mask, fixed from under his eyes to behind his ears, looked as if it were covered in bird bones. Only his cold, iron-blooded brows were barely visible.

The boxing match was bare-knuckle on a concrete floor, so after checking that there was no metal in the straps, he was allowed to enter.

Before the match, he reminded Xiang Mingqi to use the match time to quickly gather information about Duan Heng's whereabouts. He would attract attention to create an opportunity. After giving him instructions, he tossed him a Bluetooth headset.

The venue was surrounded by barbed wire, the lighting was haphazard, and a group of people began to bang around the double-wire fence. They had heard that a newcomer had intruded today, and they all wanted to poke their heads into the inner field.

"Did you see that, Gyrfalcon? I know he's new, but this kid is a bit too green."

"It seems he has it easy."

Someone caught sight of him in the light and whistled at him, "Damn it, look closely—little gyrfalcon, turn around. Did you see that? Even though half his face is covered, that silhouette is incredible. I bet he'd look incredibly handsome without the mask."

"Looking good is useless here." A man with half a face tattoo and flowery arms raised his fist and smashed it against the barbed wire, shouting at Pei Huai in a high-pitched voice, "Little princess, if you lose, you have to spend the night with me. I'll pay. Any amount is fine. If you win, I'll lick you from head to toe!"

Pei Huai turned to look at him, his dark eyes narrowed lazily, and he gave him a middle finger.

"Is he provoking Qiao Feng? How cute."

Digging his fingers into the wire mesh, shaking it so violently that it was almost deformed, the man roared in extreme excitement, "I'm waiting for you, Pepper."

Of course, he didn't have to wait. Just over ten seconds after the opening whistle, Pei Huai pressed his opponent's defense, caught his opponent's punch, and then grabbed his wrist, releasing the force, dragging him forward by inertia.

Without making any large movements, he delivered a powerful elbow strike, twisting the opponent's head and causing him to stumble backward. Then, he bent his knees, brought his toes forward, pivoted his hips, and launched his right leg with a whip kick, striking the opponent's side of the head.

Pei Huai's kicks were incredibly fast. His lithe frame and strong muscle tone made the half-arc of his right leg particularly precise. With one strike, he struck the head, along with the wrist bone blocking the ear.

"Kill him! Kill him! Twist his neck!" The winner had just been decided when the crowd started to boo him desperately.

It was as if he hadn't heard anything. Pei Huai crouched down, approaching his nearly unconscious opponent amidst waves of cheers. The boxer lay sprawled on the ground, his bloodied lips moving incessantly as he stared at him in terror with one bloodshot eye.

"No… No, don't. Please."

Seeing that he still had room to speak, Pei Huai concluded that the blow wasn't enough to cause a fatal injury. A little treatment would be enough. He stood up, glanced at the announcement board, and, ignoring the sighs and thumbs-downs from the crowd, walked towards Qiao Feng.

Qiao Feng stared at his last hand until his eyes were wide open. As the distance closed in, he gradually made out the outline of Pei Huai's eyebrows and eyes, saw the bloody hand pressed against the wire mesh, and watched the thin body that could be hugged with outstretched arms approach. He was so excited that his body was hot.

"Take me down." Pei Huai whispered the order across the gap, just in front of his lips.

"Yes, little princess." He violently broke the iron chain at the entrance with his hands, and Qiao Fengying stepped forward. He put his strong arms around his waist, carried him on his shoulders, and squeezed down the crowded stairs.

When the second round of the preliminary competition began, he took Pei Huai to a booth at the bar and knelt between his legs. "Can we start? I feel hot all over just looking at you. Where should I start? My calves? My ankles? As long as you don't mind."

"Whatever you want. But don't let me hear that name a second time."

The cold voice made Qiao Feng even more excited. Just think about it, the new dark horse in the arena. This pure white bird of prey was so, so sexy and so incendiary. Just a feather was enough to make him burn with desire. This was a great blessing for him.

"Why can't I wear this?" He had just knelt down when he heard Pei Huai's index finger tapping the mandibular complex bone of the mask.

The man was rubbing his slender ankles vigorously. Upon hearing this, the enthusiasm on his face deepened a little. "I was going to say that the Leica brothers would probably kill you if they saw this mask. But your face, your abilities, my god, they'd probably just want to have a threesome if they saw you."
