"We meet again." The man nodded to her, his expression indifferent.
"Sir, do you know her?" Xue Huai'an was slightly surprised, seemingly lost in thought.
The other person picked up their teacup, took a sip, and said in a still indifferent voice, "We've met once before."
"You two seem to know each other better than I do."
Qin Su had originally come to warn Xue Huai'an not to reveal their whereabouts. Now that there were strangers present, she was even more wary, so she barely spoke.
Xue Huai'an immediately smiled and said, "My parents' generation knew each other."
It was mentioned lightly and casually.
Qin Su was somewhat surprised that he didn't reveal her identity, but upon closer examination, it wasn't entirely without clues.
He probably guessed that if her identity were exposed, Emperor Mingyang might find out that he wasn't in Huaizhou.
They all have something on them that they can use against them.
"I didn't expect you to have guests here. Oh well, see you next time."
Qin Su nodded to the man drinking tea, then turned and left.
After she left, the man drinking tea said cryptically, "Her accent wasn't entirely from Kyoto."
Xue Huai'an responded, "She didn't grow up in Kyoto."
"You seem to spoil her a lot."
Xue Huai'an chuckled and shook his head. "We're just acquaintances. It's not something I can condone. What do you think of my previous suggestion, sir?"
He didn't want to talk about Qin Su, and the other party seemed to realize it.
"Not enough chips."

Qin Su began to doubt the identity of the man drinking tea.
That person is most likely the city lord of Shacheng, and he doesn't look like someone easy to deal with.
