Shangguan Wu blinked, placed her hands folded over her lower abdomen, and asked obediently, "What's wrong?"
Gu Yunzhen reached out and hooked her chin, his thumb slowly caressing her soft lower lip, his eyes gradually darkening.
Shangguan Wu was so surprised that her mouth gaped open, her eyes fixed on him, and her breathing became erratic.
An ambiguous atmosphere filled the air.
Du Wei, with great foresight, lowered the partition between the front and back rows.
Gu Shier glanced at him and gave him a thumbs up.
Hearing the faint sound, Shangguan Wu quickly got up from Gu Yunzhen, her cheeks as red as ripe apples. She moved to the car door and leaned back, saying, "Ouch!"
Gu Yunzhen suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her into his arms.

It made a really loud splatter sound!
Gu Yunzhen's gaze froze.
It was rare for Shangguan Wu to see him in a daze. A sly glint flashed in her eyes, and her soft voice carried a seductive undertone: "If you don't speak, do you still want to kiss me?"
Before he could speak, she kissed him on the other cheek.
"Oh, if the plane wasn't about to take off, I wouldn't want to get up." Shangguan Wu said regretfully, but her eyes were full of bright smiles. After saying that, she prepared to get off the car.
However, the large hand around her waist suddenly tightened its grip.
Shangguan Wu was forced to sit on his lap again.
She straightened up, her head hitting the roof of the car, but she didn't feel any pain.
Looking up, she saw a large hand protecting her head.
Shangguan Wu's lips curled up.
Seeing her smile, Gu Yunzhen withdrew his hand, one hand kneading her slender waist, the other hand twirling her curly hair: "It's not impossible to play for a day and then go back."
Shangguan Wu was stunned: "Play all day?"
Gu Yunzhen's thin lips curved into a half-smile: "Didn't you say you didn't want to get up? There's a hotel right next door."
Shangguan was dumbfounded: "..."
How about going to the hotel for a day?
Her beautiful eyes widened in surprise. Had his self-control weakened?
Gu Yunzhen's deep eyes glanced at her, easily discerning her thoughts, but he said nothing. What could he say? He had already lost, lost to her.
Just then, Shangguan Wu's phone rang.
The caller ID showed Gu Yuan.
"Did Uncle Zhang call?" she asked, looking at him in surprise.
Gu Yunzhen's gaze sharpened. "Answer it."
After Shangguan Wu answered the phone, she heard Zhang Bo's anxious voice: "Fourth Young Madam, I sent someone to deliver Mo Mudan to your friend at the address you gave me, but we couldn't find her when we got there. The neighbors said she hasn't left the house for several days."
Shangguan Wu frowned slightly: "Is Rongrong in the shop?"
“I sent people to look for the flower shop and her place. The landlord said she moved out and left, and the flower shop said she resigned, but neither of those jobs were done by her. Did you receive a call from her?”
Shangguan Wu pursed her lips: "No."
But she was certain that Rongrong was not the type to leave without saying goodbye.
Shangguan Wu instructed, "Uncle Zhang, could you please check the surveillance footage from that night? I want to know if Rongrong returned to the neighborhood."
“Fourth Young Madam, we checked the surveillance footage. She returned to the residential area that evening, but we haven’t seen her leave the area since.”
Upon hearing Uncle Zhang's reply, Shangguan Wu's brows furrowed even more deeply. Suddenly, a hand reached out and smoothed her brows.
She came to her senses and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Uncle Zhang. My husband and I will go back to Changteng City now. We'll talk again when I get back."
"Yes, Fourth Young Madam."
After the call ended, Shangguan Wu's hand tightened around the phone.
Gu Yunzhen spoke with certainty: "Are you worried that you've dragged her down?"
Shangguan Wu bit her lip.
“Rongrong is a very simple girl. She deals mostly with flowers and plants, so even if she offends someone, she will only say a few words and will not resort to kidnapping. But if someone finds out that she is close to me and tries to harm her, that would be a different story.”
She was worried that it was Shangguan Xiong or Chu Mingshu who did it.
Gu Yunzhen asked in a low voice, "She's been missing for five days. Have you received any calls from unknown numbers?"
"No." Shangguan Wu shook her head.
Gu Yunzhen then asked, "How many times have you met her?"
Shangguan Wu said uncertainly, "...three times, or four times?"
Gu Yunzhen raised an eyebrow, a mocking smile curving his thin lips: "How stupid must someone be to threaten you with someone they've only met three or four times!"
Well!
That makes a lot of sense.
Shangguan Wu felt comforted. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Du Wei get out of the car. She smiled at Gu Yunzhen and said, "Honey, let's go board the plane."
Seeing that she wasn't heading down a dead end, Gu Yunzhen smiled faintly and said, "Get out of the car."
"Okay!"
Shangguan Wu moved off him, then got out of the car. After he got out, she took his hand and they walked into the airport terminal together.

Of the three houses belonging to the Shangguan family, only Shangguan Xiong and his wife still live there.
In Shangguan Xiong's study.
Chu Mingshu hurriedly walked in and said, "Honey, that little bitch and her husband are going back to Changteng City. Their flight is at 3:30 this afternoon."
