About an hour and a half later, Shangguan Wu arrived at the villa in the eastern suburbs of the city.
She thought her older sister was home alone, never expecting there would be another person in the living room.
It's a teenager!
He was also an extremely handsome young man!
Shangguan Wu looked at the boy in his pajamas on the sofa. His advertisements were everywhere on the streets. She had seen them several times. This boy was Jiang Shuo. Why was he here with her older sister?
Judging from his clothing and demeanor, he has clearly been living here for more than just a day or two.
Jiang Shuo saw her and, before she could speak, laughed: "You must be my little sister Wu Bao, right? I'm designing dresses in the study."
Shangguan Wu raised an eyebrow: "Sister?"
A glint of light flashed in Jiang Shuo's eyes, and his smile deepened on his handsome face: "Yes, Sister Xue is older than me, so I call her Sister. Is there a problem?"
Shangguan Wu smelled a scent of kindred spirits on him.
They're all good at pretending.
Shangguan Wu's eyes were full of wariness. She tossed her bag onto the sofa, crossed her arms, and exuded an aura of dominance: "Two questions: Why are you here? What is your purpose?"
Jiang Shuo ignored her questioning and said with a smile, "My sister said that I am the most gentle and lovely. Indeed, seeing is believing."
Her older sister said she was gentle and lovely, and she completely believed it.
But what she just said was anything but gentle and cute; he was blatantly lying!
Did he think that by saying a few nice words, she would let him stay by his older sister's side?
Shangguan Wu narrowed his eyes: "Tell me, what would your fans think if they knew you were here?"
Jiang Shuo pretended to think for a moment, then said seriously, "Then they'll definitely think I'm being kept by a rich woman."
Shangguan Wu's lips twitched. He's quite the thinker!
Suddenly, Jiang Shuo sighed and said in a consultative tone, "Little sister shouldn't tell anyone, right? It wouldn't be good if it disturbed my peaceful life."
Shangguan Wu gave a cold laugh: "Are you threatening me?"
Jiang Shuo still smiled and said, "How could that be? I just don't want to bother my sister with my affairs. She likes peace and quiet."
Looking at his professional fake smile, Shangguan Wu chuckled: "You said I went upstairs to find my older sister and told her you had ulterior motives. Would she believe you or me?"
Jiang Shuo's expression froze. Did he even need to ask that?
He immediately lowered his head and sincerely apologized: "I'm sorry, I was just being cheeky and making a joke. If I offended you in any way, I hope you won't hold it against me."
A hint of surprise flashed in Shangguan Wu's eyes.
Isn't his ability to change his expression too fast?
And his attitude toward his older sister is problematic!
Shangguan Wu was just about to test him with a few words.
Suddenly, Shangguan Xue's voice rang out in the stairwell: "Wu Bao? It really is you!"
Shangguan Wu blinked, turned around, and smiled sweetly: "Big sister, I came to see you."
Shangguan Xue walked to her side and asked with concern, "Dad said you rushed back to Changteng City. Did something urgent happen?"
Shangguan Wu shook her head: "No, it's fine."
Shangguan Xue held her hand and gently patted her back, saying, "It's good that you're alright. What were you talking about just now? Do you know each other?"
Jiang Shuo: "I know him."
Shangguan Wu: "I don't know him."
The two spoke at the same time, but their answers differed.
Shangguan Xue was stunned.
Shangguan Wu's sharp gaze fell upon Jiang Shuo.
Jiang Shuo looked at Shangguan Xue and said, "I wouldn't lie to my sister."
A dangerous glint flashed in Shangguan Wu's eyes. He really hadn't wasted his talent; with acting skills like that, he could definitely win an Oscar.
Shangguan Xue laughed happily and asked curiously, "How do you know Wu Bao?"
Jiang Shuo replied, "I was a guest on a talent show. I saw your sister's photo on two trainees. At first, I thought she was a female celebrity, but someone as beautiful as her couldn't possibly not be famous. I asked around and found out she was the boss of their company. But I didn't expect to see her in person today. She's even more beautiful than in the photos, just like you, sister, she doesn't photograph well."
As he finished speaking, a smile spread across his face, clean-cut and refreshing, making him incredibly handsome.
He had high emotional intelligence; he not only answered the question but also praised her and her older sister. Of course, his focus was on the last sentence. If it weren't for the involvement of her and her older sister, Shangguan Wu would have applauded him!
But the more he acted this way, the more she felt that his purpose was not simple!
Having experienced the pain of losing her family in her previous life, Shangguan Wu will not allow anyone with ulterior motives to get close to her family!
Shangguan Xue, unsuspecting, asked, "Is it that program on Tomato TV? I missed two episodes. Are you in it too?"
Jiang Shuo said with a smile, "The episode I recorded hasn't aired yet."
Shangguan Wu said calmly, "Tomato TV's talent shows are broadcast live."
Jiang Shuo explained, "If I could find out the truth with just one phone call, I wouldn't need to lie to you. The episode I'm in will air next Friday."
Shangguan Wu raised an eyebrow: "Oh, so if we don't know if it's true or false, we can lie to them?"
Immediately, Jiang Shuo looked at Shangguan Xue with sincere eyes: "Every word I said to my sister is true. I didn't lie to you."
Shangguan Xue believed him when she saw his gaze, but she also sensed Wu Bao's hostility towards her.
She glanced at Jiang Shuo, then at Wu Bao, and felt that if she weren't there, the two of them would start arguing.
"I know, you can continue watching TV. I'll take Wubao to the study to look at the design drafts."
