Shangguan Wu replied to the two of them respectively.
[His contract doesn't prohibit him from dating, and he refuses variety show appearances, asking the production team if he could be replaced with another artist from the company.]
Tell him that he should act exactly as the director instructs, and he can point out any unreasonable points, but he shouldn't challenge the director's bottom line if he wants to stay in the entertainment industry.
Shangguan Wu wasn't exaggerating; she didn't object to He Xiu dating, but if it interfered with his work, that was a different story.
After all, she's not running a charity company; he's breaking the rules, so there's no need to provide him with resources.
After replying, Shangguan Wu first checked his elder sister's message.
It was sent yesterday morning, saying she had arrived at her home in the capital. In the evening, she sent another message asking when she would be back, saying that her father had personally cooked a pot of crayfish.
Shangguan Wu blinked twice, opened her father's messages, and sure enough, he had posted several pictures of crayfish.
The bright red color made her hungry!
There are also close-up shots of lobsters.
Although there wasn't a single word, she could guess with her toes that her dad was deliberately showing off!
Shangguan Wu licked his lips, wanting to eat!
She replied to Shangguan Xue: "[Big sister, you told Dad that the crayfish meat in winter is too tough and not plump at all. They just look good but don't taste good. Tell him not to eat them.]"
She won't want to eat if she can't see.
After repeating this thought to himself several times, Shangguan Wu received a message from Shangguan Xue: [Dad already knows (smirking)]
Upon seeing this meme, Shangguan Wu immediately pictured her dad frowning as he ate crayfish, and burst out laughing.
Just then, Gu Yunzhen walked into the bedroom.
"What's making you so happy?"
Upon hearing this, Shangguan Wu looked up and saw Gu Yunzhen pushing one of the hotel's food carts into the room. She blinked in surprise.
Why did you bring the food to the room?
"Little lazybones can eat as soon as they get up."
Gu Yunzhen pushed the coffee table to the front and walked towards the bed.
Shangguan Wu smiled sweetly, her lips curving upwards.
She lifted the covers and stretched out her arms, wanting a hug.
A smile appeared on Gu Yunzhen's face as he bent down, picked her up, and carried her towards the bathroom.
After washing up, Shangguan Wu sat cross-legged on the sofa, watching the man place plate after plate of delicious food on the coffee table. She was immediately tempted, but no matter how good the food was, it couldn't compare to the man in front of her!
"Honey, I never knew you were so good at taking care of people," she said sincerely.
Gu Yunzhen set out the food, and upon hearing her words, raised an eyebrow and handed her the chopsticks and bowl: "I don't know how to serve people, I only serve you."
After a moment, he added, "After all, I'm partly responsible that you got up so late."
Shangguan Wu's lips twitched, and she almost threw the chopsticks and bowl at him.
Shut up!
She blushed and pouted coquettishly.
Gu Yunzhen looked at her flushed cheeks and a wicked smile curved his thin lips: "Where would you like to go after you finish eating, Madam?"
Without hesitation, Shangguan Wu said, "Let's go home!"
Gu Yunzhen raised an eyebrow: "Hmm?"
Hearing the dangerous undertone in his voice, Shangguan Wu corrected him, saying, "My maternal home."
Gu Yunzhen's sword-like eyebrows relaxed.
"Let's eat."
But Shangguan Wu turned to look at him and accused him, "Husband, I've noticed you've changed. You've started to nitpick over words!"
Gu Yunzhen spoke slowly and deliberately: "You started this, have you forgotten?"
Well!
Shangguan Wu feigned ignorance and asked, "Really?"
Gu Yunzhen countered, "No?"
"Does he have such a good memory?" Shangguan Wu pouted and awkwardly changed the subject: "Have the Jiang family members fought with Quan Tianrui? They shouldn't be coming to our Gu family, right?"
Gu Yunzhen saw that she still remembered her, so she didn't point it out, lest she get angry and turn around and accuse her.
Because once a woman becomes unreasonable, no amount of reasoning or explanation will help.
Gu Yunzhen had witnessed this since she was a child, so she followed up on her topic and said, "Not for the time being, but there will definitely be people who instigate them to come and take Xiaobao."
A cold glint suddenly appeared in Shangguan Wu's eyes: "They don't even deserve it?"
Good people will be turned into idle, spoiled brats who do nothing, and it's even questionable whether they'll live to adulthood.
Gu Yunzhen's deep voice soothed her: "It's okay, there's nothing to be angry about."
Shangguan Wu obediently hummed in agreement.
She knew that with the Gu family's capabilities, it was absolutely a pipe dream for the Jiang family to take Xiaobao away.
After dinner, Shangguan Wu and Gu Yunzhen went downstairs wearing matching white and black outfits.
Ji Moyan and Gu Xiaobao were sitting in the living room watching TV.
Seeing Shangguan Wu come downstairs, Gu Xiaobao happily called out, "Good afternoon, Auntie!"
Shangguan Wu's face flushed slightly: "What TV show is Xiao Bao watching?"
Gu Xiaobao excitedly talked to her about anime.
Ji Moyan looked at her daughter-in-law's flushed face, knowing better but saying nothing.
Yesterday, Shangguan Wu took Xiaobao to the zoo. Gu Yunzhen was in charge of taking pictures of them, including many pictures of the animals and their group photos.
Back home, Ji Moyan couldn't wait to see the photos.
After looking at them, she thought the photos featuring her daughter-in-law were especially beautiful.
With bright eyes and white teeth, Shangguan Wu's face was flushed in the sunlight, as if she had applied rouge, making her radiant and beautiful.
Shangguan Wu was already beautiful, and Gu Yunzhen captured the essence of her beauty in his photographs.
However, the other photos seemed rather casual, and there were even a few blurry ones.
Ji Moyan's expression revealed a hint of relief.
Thankfully, she didn't go.
Otherwise, not only would she have to endure being fed dog food (a Chinese slang term for witnessing public displays of affection), but if her youngest son took a blurry picture of her, she would probably be so angry that she would blur his face.
