After a two-second silence on the phone, Gu Yunzhen's deep voice came through: "Wife, let's video chat."
Shangguan Wu blinked and said deliberately, "If you come back sooner, we can take a bath together."
"..."
Gu Yunzhen's eyelids twitched on the other end of the phone: "Are you deliberately provoking me?"
Shangguan Wu chuckled softly: "Even if I wanted to recruit you, your daughter wouldn't agree!"
Gu Yunzhen smiled and said, "Okay. Go take a shower, then go to bed early. Goodnight."
While running hot water, Shangguan Wu asked, "Honey, have you reached a decision? What did Fu Lin say?"
Listening to the sound of water, Gu Yunzhen said succinctly, "They're still discussing it. Fu Lin says it's a trap."
Shangguan Wu felt a sense of 'I knew it'.
Just then, Gu Shiyi's voice came through the phone: "Fourth Young Master, Master Heng requests your presence."
Upon hearing this, Shangguan Wu stopped talking to him: "You're busy, get some rest, goodnight!"
She made two quick kisses on her phone, and before Gu Yunzhen could even speak, his thumb had already touched the hang-up button…
There's no need to call another one; he just needs to deal with things here as soon as possible and go home early.
Before returning to her room, Gu Yunzhen made a phone call to Gu Yilou.
"Big brother, Heng-ge, he..." He hesitated, as if he was wondering whether he should say it or not.
Gu Yilou's expression changed drastically on the other end of the phone: "What happened to him?"
Gu Yunzhen sighed: "You should call him yourself."
Gu Yilou: "..."
He had no choice but to hang up and call Qin Yiheng.
Gu Yunzhen went upstairs and saw Qin Yiheng talking on the phone in the hallway outside the room. He nodded and went into the room.
Inside the room, Gong Wujue remained expressionless, as if he were the only one who hadn't received a call, looking like a lonely man.
Since Gu Yunzhen wasn't the only one delaying the progress, and Gong Wujue's words would offend both of them, he simply decided to say nothing and let them do as they pleased. In any case, they had to reach a conclusion tonight before leaving.
Less than five minutes later, Qin Yiheng walked into the room.
He sat down in his original seat and gave Gu Yunzhen a meaningful look.
Gu Yunzhen asked without changing her expression, "Where were we?"
Qin Yiheng chuckled: "Even if it's a trap, it has to be so realistic that people will fall for it. So I think we should go and see what's going on inside."
Gong Wujue chimed in, "Whether it's a dragon's den or a tiger's lair, I think we have to go."
There were three people in total, and the other two agreed. Gu Yunzhen shrugged: "My opinion is no longer important."
“You can speak your mind if you have any opinions.” Gong Wujue stared at him.
Gu Yunzhen narrowed his deep eyes, reflecting a cold glint in them. He parted his thin lips slightly and said, "Since you know it's a trap, you can't just be playing house with me. If you go, there will definitely be casualties."
Qin Yiheng remained silent.
"Don't worry, I'll personally lead the team to find out!"
With unwavering determination in his eyes, Gong Wujue suddenly stood up and saluted them: "Thank you for your help. You don't need to worry about this anymore. Go back to the Imperial City at dawn tomorrow."
Gu Yunzhen frowned and said bluntly, "It's good to be unafraid of death, but pointless sacrifices are unnecessary."
Gong Wujue looked at him, his brows furrowed: "We must go on this trip, even if there are sacrifices. But from the moment we put on these clothes, we were prepared to sacrifice!"
Gu Yunzhen respected him as a true man, and only by destroying the Divine Messenger organization could his wife be safe. He said, "My uncle gave my wife something. If we make good use of it, even if no one goes to the scene, we can still know what's going on inside."
Gong Wujue's face darkened as he sternly said, "If you dare to use Junior Sister, I'll kill you!"

Gu Yunzhen glanced at Gong Wujue with a cool gaze and gave a sarcastic sneer: "A little silver bee drone."
Gong Wujue realized he had misunderstood someone and readily apologized, "I'm sorry."
"It's alright." Gu Yunzhen readily agreed, reminding them, "There's only one drone. If you want more, just contact my uncle's research institute."
Gong Wujue nodded seriously: "Okay, thank you."
Gu Yunzhen glanced at the time, stood up, and looked at Qin Yiheng: "It's late, Brother Heng, shall we go together?"
Qin Yiheng laughed: "Back to the capital?"
Aren't you going to reply?
Gu Yunzhen didn't force him and strode towards the door.
"Wait, I'll go with you."
Qin Yiheng stood up and nodded to Gong Wujue as he passed by, saying, "We're leaving."
The two walked out of the building side by side, and Mi Yanghua's bodyguard ran up to them and said, "Mr. Gu, Mr. Qin."
Gu Yunzhen recognized him and stopped in her tracks.
"What's up?"
"The leader invites you two gentlemen to a late-night snack; there's something he wants to discuss."
The guard lowered his voice at the end, clearly indicating that something serious had happened, and it was something urgent and important.
Gu Yunzhen and Qin Yiheng exchanged a glance and then said in a low voice, "Please lead the way."
Gong Wujue stood by the window, watching Qin Yiheng and Gu Yunzhen get into General Mi's car and leave. He then called Old Zou's bodyguard to request Qin Sanye's Little Bee drone.
Twenty minutes later, Gu Yunzhen and Qin Yiheng met Mi Yanghua.
Mi Yanghua is personally grilling lamb skewers.
"You're here? These are all grilled. Try them and see if they taste the same as the ones outside," Mi Yanghua said, pointing to the grilled lamb skewers on the side.
