Madam Yan knew that Mrs. Gu, Ji Moyan, would visit her youngest daughter-in-law at the postpartum care center every day to chat.
So they went there the next morning.
"Mrs. Gu!"
"Madam Yan called out."
Ji Moyan didn't give Madam Yan a friendly look when she blocked her way.
However, the upbringing of the Jimo family did not allow her to use foul language in public, which would embarrass others.
Madam Yan smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Gu, I apologize for bothering you."
"Is there something you need?" Ji Moyan asked calmly.
"Well, may I buy you a coffee?" Madam Yan Er, fearing that she would refuse, pointed to the location: "It's the coffee shop next door."
Ji Moyan said, "I don't drink coffee. Just say what you need to say."
Madam Yan's expression stiffened for a moment, then she quickly and earnestly said, "I'm sorry, I'm here to apologize for my inappropriate behavior half a month ago."
"I'm so sorry, Mrs. Gu. I was momentarily blinded by greed and did something wrong. Please forgive my mistake and give me a chance to reform."
Ji Moyan found this utterly absurd: "Half a month ago? And you're apologizing now?"
Madam Yan had long been prepared to be ridiculed, so she bowed deeply and apologized again: "I'm sorry."
"You didn't wrong me." It was her eldest son's lack of caution that gave outsiders an opportunity to take advantage of the situation.
Madam Yan humbly replied, "I will apologize to your son again."
Seeing her demeanor, Ji Moyan suspected that she had arranged for reporters to be found somewhere. She suppressed the urge to search for them and said calmly, "Then you can go find him. I won't interfere in my son's affairs."
Madam Yan disagreed.
If she really doesn't interfere in her son's affairs, why is she running to the postpartum care center every day?
She has four sons, and if she doesn't treat them all equally, the brothers will inevitably turn against each other sooner or later!
However, on the surface, Madam Yan lowered her stance even further: "As the head of the family, I should apologize to you for my behavior. I hope you can forgive me for what I did, otherwise I will be ashamed in front of my sister-in-law."
The sister-in-law she was referring to was Madam Yan.
Madam Yan hoped that Ji Moyan would stop targeting her maternal family out of consideration for their kinship.
Ji Moyan really looked down on her petty and narrow-minded attitude.
She simply asked directly, "Am I obligated to forgive you?"
Madam Yan was suddenly stunned.
Ji Moyan continued, "Then you apologized. I heard it. I have other things to do now, so I won't keep you company any longer. Do as you please."
Madam Yan chased after her, but was blocked by Ji Moyan's bodyguards a meter away.
"Mrs. Gu!" Madam Yan Er had no choice but to call out, "Please, have mercy on me!"
Ji Moyan frowned and turned around: "What do you mean?"
Madam Yan stepped forward: "In the past half month, companies that cooperated with my family have terminated their contracts one after another. My family has already lost tens of millions. If we can't find a partner, we will go bankrupt soon. I know I made a mistake. I shouldn't have had such thoughts and schemed against your son. Please forgive me this time for the sake of my mother-in-law and sister-in-law."
Ji Moyan frowned immediately: "You suspect that my Gu family is behind this?"
Isn't that so? Madam Yan didn't say it aloud, but her expression clearly conveyed that sentiment.
Immediately, Ji Moyan laughed: "So you came to apologize not because you really want to apologize to me, but because your family's company got into trouble and you think my Gu family was behind it, right?"
"Mrs. Gu, if you spare my family, I will kneel down and apologize to you."
After speaking, Madam Yan knelt down with a thud, looking up at Ji Moyan.
Ji Moyan said coldly and in a deep voice, "I'll reiterate one last time, your family's affairs have nothing to do with my Gu family. I was indeed furious that night and told my husband that I wanted to teach you a lesson, but he felt that it was a lesson for my son, so I didn't lay a hand on him."
"Who would lightly dismiss something like this as a way to educate their son!"
Madam Yan's face clearly showed disbelief.
Ji Moyan gritted her teeth inwardly, thinking, "So her husband is a real bastard!"
She only thought these words to herself; in public, her husband's reputation was her reputation, and they were husband and wife as one.
"That's because you're ignorant and inexperienced. Fine, I have nothing more to say to you. If you keep arguing like this, I don't mind taking matters into my own hands."
Ji Moyan made a timely threat, then stepped past her and entered the postpartum care center.
After entering, Ji Moyan turned to look at the bodyguards and asked, "Have you noticed anyone taking pictures nearby?"
Gu Qian replied, "I saw the Fourth Young Master's men drag the person who took the photos away."
They actually arranged for reporters! Ji Moyan had an extremely bad impression of Madam Yan, and she also made a fuss about it with Gu Qingyu, planning to settle the score with him when she got home!
Gu Qingyu, who was far away at the Qin family's house, sneezed.
Qin Beimo, who was making tea, looked up and asked, "You have a cold?"
After saying that, he silently poured out the water in his teacup and poured himself another cup of tea.
Seeing this, Gu Qingyu said, "Are you sure you don't need to go that far?"
Qin Beimo nodded seriously.
Gu Qingyu didn't say much, since he was used to the other person's fussy nature anyway.
However, he came here today on important business.
When do you plan to go to HJ General Hospital again?
"What did that kid tell you?"
Qin Beimo wasn't in a hurry at all. His wife was busy with their younger son's wedding and hadn't yet inquired about their older son's affairs.
Gu Qingyu rubbed his forehead: "You're lazing around at home, while my son has to go through all that trouble. Don't you feel any remorse?"
Qin Beimo looked at him in surprise: "What's wrong with Alou?"
"I'm exhausted."
