Old Master Zeng felt as if Ji Mingjing had trampled his face on the ground, yet he could not show any anger.
"Mingjing, there must be some misunderstanding here. Can we talk about it face to face after I meet with my guests?"
Old Master Zeng pointed out that he had guests, thinking that Ji Mingjing would probably smooth things over and save face for both sides. After all, it was ill-mannered for a junior to speak to an elder like that.
However, Ji Mingjing's voice was indifferent: "There's no need to talk about it. Just make sure your family keeps your daughter from doing things with her feet."
He hung up the phone after saying that.
Doing things with his feet? Is he saying his granddaughter is brainless?
Grandpa Zeng's hand holding the phone trembled slightly.

The three old men present were all shrewd and immediately took their leave.
After seeing the person off, Old Master Zeng sternly ordered the butler beside him, "Where is that girl? Bring her to my study!"
"Yes, sir."
After the housekeeper responded, he sent several servants to find Zeng Lanni.
Zeng Lanni was at Xia Zilu's villa at the moment. She was a little unhappy when she received the call, but when she heard that it was Grandpa Zeng looking for her, she had no choice but to rush back to the Zeng family.

In an instant, Zeng Lanni's expression changed, her eyes darting around: "It's about relationships between men and women..."
Grandpa Zeng interrupted her in a stern voice: "You still dare to lie! Ji Mingjing even called me, saying you're brainless, that he doesn't like you, and that you shouldn't bother him anymore, otherwise he'll take action against the Zeng family. He spoke to your grandfather like that, and you're telling me he's interested in you?"

The last sentence was shouted out by Grandpa Zeng as he slammed his fist on the table.
Zeng Lanni's face turned deathly pale instantly: "What? How could he..."
"Hmph, he's the head of the Ji family, what can't he do?" Old Master Zeng's tone was laced with sarcasm. "Now tell me everything you've done, and if you dare lie to me, you know the consequences!"
Zeng Lanni bit her lip, and under immense pressure, she finally had to tell the truth.

Zeng Lanni introduced her, saying, "Her name is Xia Zilu, she's a stay-at-home mom, and she's not related to Ji Mingjing, but she's my good friend!"

After a stern rebuke, Old Master Zeng looked at her with disappointment: "She has no relation to Ji Mingjing. How could she help you marry him? How could she help? With her feet?"

Grandpa Zeng was furious and shouted, "Just because you are my granddaughter, I have lost all face today!"

Then I couldn't make phone calls anymore.
Xia Zilu hung up the phone because her sugar daddy's wife had arrived.
His wife's surname is Yao, and she is a local from Xizhou.
Although she would come to see the child every few days, she always came alone. But today she brought two strong men with her. Xia Zilu guessed that they must be bodyguards from the Yao family.
