Chapter 631 I want to open my eyes and see you

Ji Mingjing narrowed his long, narrow eyes, reflecting a cold, sharp glint, and said in a deep voice, "I want them to know that my determination is beyond question."

Once the whole internet knows, if he goes back on his word, the reputation of the entire Ji family group will be affected.

Although the elders will definitely go crazy, so what?

He got married and settled down.

Of course, his preference is the most important thing!

Rongrong suddenly smiled: "Let me know your determination, right?"

That's true.

He wanted her to feel how seriously he took her.

Nothing and no one can change his decision to marry her.

Ji Mingjing rested his chin on the top of her head, his eyes filled with tenderness: "That way, you can't abandon me and find other men. You'll be ridiculed by everyone."

Rongrong deliberately said, "Who cares? I don't use Weibo anyway."

Ji Mingjing: "..."

"Are you trying to annoy me on purpose?"

"No."

Rongrong looked completely innocent as she watched his brows furrow. She smiled and said, "But if I like you, then I definitely care about you."

In an instant, Ji Mingjing heard his heart pounding like a drum.

She said she liked him.

A deep smile spread across Ji Mingjing's face. He was in an extremely good mood, feeling as light as a feather, as if he were walking on clouds.

His gaze was filled with tenderness.

Gradually, Ji Mingjing and Rongrong closed the distance between them, their breaths mingling.

He couldn't help but nod and kiss her lips, tracing the soft lines of her lips.

Her lips seemed to carry a hint of sweetness, captivating and irresistible.

Rongrong was not expected that he would suddenly kiss her. She glanced at the row in front of her out of the corner of her eye, but her view was blocked by the partition.

Rongrong froze, and suddenly a hand covered her eyes.

The pressure on her lips increased slightly.

In an instant, she felt her body temperature rise continuously.

But this is inside the car!

With her last shred of reason, Rongrong pushed him away and slumped weakly into her seat.

Both of them were slightly out of breath.

Ji Mingjing gazed at her flushed face, his voice low and husky: "Would you like to stay at Wuya Courtyard tonight?"

Rongrong's eyelids twitched; he really was direct.

"I'm going back to the attic."

It seems that her moving out of the Ji family is inevitable.

In truth, Ji Mingjing knew she wouldn't agree; he was just clinging to wishful thinking.

"Alright." Ji Mingjing sighed in disappointment, "Then I'll take you back to the attic."

He couldn't bear to let her leave.

Rongrong was slightly surprised. He actually accepted it so quickly?

She thought she would have to say a few more words of advice.

The two remained silent for the rest of the journey.

When the car arrived at the Ji family's residence, Rongrong and Ji Mingjing got out and went inside hand in hand.

The two walked past pavilions and waterside terraces, through gardens, and across long corridors, finally stopping at a fork in the road.

Rongrong looked at Ji Mingjing and a slight smile appeared on her lips.

"I'm leaving now."

"Um."

"good evening."

"good evening."

Watching Rongrong walk away until she disappeared around the corner, Ji Mingjing then headed towards Wuya Courtyard.

Rongrong returned to the attic and took a shower. Just as she was drying her hair with a hairdryer, she heard a noise downstairs.

No one usually comes to her attic at night.

But usually, not always.

Rongrong roughly guessed who the visitor was, but she didn't let her guard down. She put down the hairdryer, walked out of the room, and went to the stairwell.

She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the familiar tall figure.

Why are you here?

Ji Mingjing, standing at the bottom of the stairs, was taken aback: "If I said there's no water for bathing in Wuya Courtyard, would you believe me?"

Even the dog in the house probably wouldn't believe that.

Rongrong smiled and said, "There's a restroom downstairs. You can take a shower downstairs."

Without waiting for his reply, she went back to her room and sat by the window, drying her hair.

A moment later, Ji Mingjing appeared at the door of the room.

Along with it comes a strong, spicy flavor.

Rongrong suddenly felt hungry.

She looked at Ji Mingjing and saw a bowl of spicy crayfish and two bundles of grilled meat skewers on the small table he was carrying.

No wonder it smells so good!

Rongrong swallowed hard, her mouth watering.

Ji Mingjing looked at her with a smile: "I guess you must be hungry, why don't you come out and get something to eat?"

"I am quite hungry."

Rongrong put down the hairdryer and sat down with him on the sofa in the living room on the second floor.

She thought he would eat with her.

To everyone's surprise, he got up and left, but when he came back, he was holding a hairdryer.

"You eat first, I'll dry your hair."

"Let's eat together."

Rongrong took off her gloves.

Ji Mingjing's smile deepened, but she said, "Be good, listen to me, you eat first."

Rongrong raised an eyebrow and stopped insisting, taking a skewer of roasted mutton and eating it.

However, she stopped him from continuing to blow-dry her hair when it was half dry.

After all, her hair must have been completely dry after eating all that stuff.

Ji Mingjing listened to her and put down the hairdryer, joining the late-night snack team to enjoy a hearty meal.

After finishing her late-night snack, Rongrong felt a bit too full to sleep right now.

She tilted her head and asked him, "Want to watch some TV?"

Ji Mingjing's plan was to stay as long as possible.

What if she sees it's too dark and softens her heart, letting him stay?

The two sat together on the sofa watching TV.

The atmosphere was rather bland.

It has a touch of happiness in its simplicity.

As time ticked by, it was nearly midnight, yet the person still hadn't left.
