Chapter 711 I Don't Want to Get Married

Ji Tianyuan noticed her husband approaching, but it was too late to hide, so she could only remain silent.

"What's going on?" The head of the Ding family asked incredulously, looking at his wife and then at the steward, but both of them avoided his gaze.

Ding Muyun cried out in pain that her stomach hurt terribly.

The head of the Ding family reacted, his eyes widening like copper bells, and pointed at his daughter, angrily rebuking her: "You, you have utterly disgraced the family!"

Ding Muyun was already in unbearable pain, and upon hearing his words, she trembled with fear.

Ji Tianyuan felt extremely distressed and looked up at her husband: "Can't you see how much pain our daughter is in? Can't you say less?"

The head of the Ding family was stunned by the retort, and said irritably, "I think it's all because you spoil her too much that she's become so unruly and ignorant. The reason she's suffering today is because you've neglected to discipline her!"

Ji Tianyuan's eyes flickered, and she coldly retorted, "Didn't you usually spoil her? Didn't you buy her whatever she needed? Now that something's happened, you're blaming me alone."

Before the Ding family head could speak, Ji Tianyuan shouted, "Has the ambulance arrived yet?"

The housekeeper was at a loss for words. It had only been a few minutes since he made the call. Unless they flew over, how could it be so fast?

After all, she was his only daughter. The head of the Ding family looked at the steward and said, "Go and urge her again."

"Yes, sir."

The housekeeper walked away with his phone.

Ding Muyun's face was covered in cold sweat. She gripped Ji Tianyuan's hand tightly and pleaded, "Mom, save my child... you must save him..."

Ji Tianyuan's expression froze slightly.

With so much blood lost, this child probably can't be saved.

Perhaps this is God's will.

This child should never have existed.

Ji Tianyuan didn't feel much affection for her unborn grandson; she was more concerned about her daughter's future. Without the entanglement of this child of unknown origin, her daughter would be better off.

Ding Muyun didn't hear her mother speak, so she struggled to look up at her mother's face: "Mom! Promise me..."

Meeting her daughter's pleading gaze, Ji Tianyuan could only promise her, "Don't worry, with a doctor here, the child will definitely be fine."

Upon hearing this, Ding Muyun fainted with relief.

"Yunyun!"

Ji Tianyuan called out with concern.

When the head of the Ding family saw his daughter unconscious, he was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan.

"Big brother, sister-in-law, are you both home?"

A woman's voice approached from afar. Reaching the living room, she saw Ding Muyun lying in Ji Tianyuan's arms and exclaimed in shock, "Oh my! What happened to Yunyun? Why is she bleeding so much?"

Ji Tianyuan's face darkened; just what she feared had come to pass!

"What brings you here, sister-in-law?"

"My problem is not important. Did you call an ambulance? When will it arrive? Did you mention how to stop the bleeding beforehand? Otherwise, you will lose too much blood if it keeps flowing."

The woman was Ding Qiuqin, the cousin of the head of the Ding family, and the matriarch of the Pei family in the capital city.

Ding Qiuqin usually disliked Ji Tianyuan and her daughter, but in the current situation, she couldn't bring herself to kick them while they were down, lest she be blamed if something went wrong.

Ji Tianyuan was stunned for a moment, not expecting her to say that.

"Sister-in-law?" Ding Qiuqin frowned.

Ji Tianyuan snapped out of her daze and quickly looked at her husband, "Quickly call the doctor and ask how to stop the bleeding."

After realizing what had happened, the head of the Ding family hurriedly called a doctor he knew to ask how to stop the bleeding for someone who had a miscarriage.

After some effort, Ding Muyun's bleeding slowed down considerably.

The ambulance arrived quickly.

Ji Tianyuan and the head of the Ding family both got into the ambulance.

After watching the ambulance drive away, Ding Qiuqin remembered the purpose of her visit. Unfortunately, the ambulance had already left, so she could only go home first.

Although the Ding family members did not live together, they lived in a villa area.

After Ding Qiuqin returned home, Old Madam Ding asked, "Didn't you need to see your older brother? Why are you back so soon?"

"Yunyun had an accident. My older brother and sister-in-law took her to the hospital."

Ding Qiuqin had a worried look on her face, which made Old Madam Ding frown even more: "What could have happened to Yun'er?"

“This time is different, Mom. I’m telling you, but please don’t tell anyone else.”

"What's different?"

"Yunyun miscarried."

"abortion?"

Old Madam Ding couldn't believe it. After a long while, she waved her hand and said, "How could an unmarried girl like her... Sigh, never mind, let's not talk about this girl anymore. Anyway, with her mother and the Ji family protecting her, no one can bully her."

Ding Qiuqin was taken aback at first, then gave a soft "hmm".

Madam Ding looked at her daughter with concern: "Why can't you tell me what's wrong? Why do you have to ask your older brother for help?"

Ding Qiuqin opened her mouth, but hesitated to speak.

"Speak quickly!" Old Madam Ding suddenly shouted.

Ding Qiuqin was startled and slowly explained her troubles: "Mom, Kevin is not young anymore. Children of his age, or even younger than him, in the big and small families of the capital have already gotten married and had children. Do you think I'm wrong to let him get married?"

Madam Ding gasped: "Kevin doesn't want to get married?"

“He blames me! I know he still blames me in his heart.” Ding Qiuqin’s eyes reddened with grievance, and tears welled up in her eyes.

What's going on?

Madam Ding frowned. She knew her grandson's character; he was a filial child. Therefore, she did not listen to her daughter's side of the story.

Ding Qiuqin turned her head away from her mother's probing gaze and whispered, "Kevin used to like a girl, but that girl didn't like him and always kept him hanging on. I couldn't stand it, so I went to her."
