Chapter 16 What a vicious person!

After glancing at the time, Su Lenghe realized the auspicious hour had arrived. She dipped a brush in cinnabar and drew a talisman on the talisman paper.

With swift strokes, the talisman paper shimmered with golden light, but to onlookers it appeared to be just an ordinary talisman.

She drew ten talismans in one go.

Su Lenghe closed her eyes and made a hand seal. Then she suddenly opened her eyes and said, "Rise."

A talisman rose without wind, and when the peach wood sword pierced it, the talisman spontaneously combusted without fire. Using the flames, Su Lenghe drew talismans in the air.

The instant the flames died down, an invisible, enormous talisman, gleaming with golden light, landed on Rong Yan.

With a flick of both fingers, three incense sticks rose into the air, spontaneously combusting without fire, and stood neatly side by side in mid-air, motionless.

Those behind them stared wide-eyed at the sight, unable to believe their eyes.

Rong Yan rubbed his eyes, his mind going blank for a moment.

This was completely different from his understanding over the past twenty years. How could the incense stick stand in mid-air?

Su Lenghe stood still for a long time without moving, as if waiting for something.

The Rong family members also stood frozen in place, not daring to move or speak, for fear of disturbing Su Lenghe.

After an unknown amount of time, a sudden gust of wind swept through the room, carrying fine sand and pebbles that pierced people's eyes and noses.

The Rong family members were blown about and swayed, and could only hold each other tightly to keep themselves steady.

Rong Yan squinted, about to remind Master Su to be careful, but saw that Su Lenghe was not affected by the wind at all, standing steadily in place, not even a single hair was raised, the wind and sand seemed to dare not approach her.

"Heaven and earth are natural, the foul air dissipates, the cave is mysterious and vast, the primordial energy shines brightly..."

Su Lenghe quickly whispered the incantation, her hands forming hand seals so fast they left afterimages.

The sound was soft and ethereal, yet it entered the ears clearly, as if a god had descended from the heavens with divine words.

"The mighty gods of the eight directions command me to act naturally. The divine decree of the Lingbao is proclaimed throughout the nine heavens."

The wind intensified, making it almost impossible for people to stand, and they felt their bodies become lighter.

The remaining nine talismans rose up, forming a circle above Rong Ce, rotating at a constant speed.

The talisman trembled slightly, as if it were fighting desperately against a force.

The three incense sticks suspended in mid-air glowed with an eerie red light and burned rapidly, burning up more than half of their weight in the blink of an eye.

"May all evil and filth vanish, and may the Dao's vital energy endure forever. So be it!"

Su Lenghe flicked her index finger, and five Five Emperors Coins landed steadily on Rong Ce's forehead and limbs.

"break!"

In an instant, the weather changed dramatically, and dark clouds gathered.

A large, churning dark cloud approached the ward, with blue-purple lightning leaping through it. The approach was menacing, exuding an endless killing intent, and making the hairs on the back of one's head stand on end.

"boom!"

The nine talismans and Ritsuka instantly turned to ashes, and a golden light exploded out.

"boom!"

At the same time, a bolt of purple lightning struck down, accompanied by a violent explosion, and like a purple snake, it snaked straight toward the ward.

The Rong family members' ears were ringing as they saw the purple lightning snake attacking them at incredible speed, leaving them no time to react.

Just when the Rong family thought they were doomed, lightning suddenly exploded in mid-air.

A thick, black gas, as dark as ink, was struck by lightning and dissipated into the air, the dark clouds instantly clearing away.

Golden light shone on the earth once more, the gale disappeared, and everything returned to normal, as if nothing had ever happened.

Only the Rong family knows that all of this is real.

The bluish-black discoloration on Rong Ce's face had disappeared. His long, curled eyelashes fluttered as he slowly opened his eyes, revealing a beautiful face before him.

His voice was low and hoarse; "Just now... did you save me?"

Su Lenghe nodded, and the Rong family rushed over.

"Third brother!"

"grandson!"

"Uncle!"

Mrs. Rong threw herself into Rong Ce's arms: "Child, you're finally awake. I thought...I thought..."

She sobbed uncontrollably, and Rong Lin put his arm around her shoulder: "Grandma, the third son is awake, so please stop crying."

Rong Yan wiped away his tears: "Uncle, you're finally awake!"

Jiang Xue also came over and took Grandma Rong's hand to comfort her: "Grandma, don't be sad, this is a happy occasion."

Rong Lin offered a few words of comfort, then stood up and bowed deeply to Su Lenghe: "Master Su, you are the benefactor of the Rong family. The Rong family will never forget your life-saving grace. If you need anything, the Rong family will do its utmost."

As soon as Su Lenghe raised her finger, Rong Lin felt an invisible force stopping his movement.

"It's just my duty; there's no need for such a grand ceremony."

Someone is using Taoist magic to harm people. As a cultivator, she cannot stand aside from it.

Rong Lin was startled. Was this a supernatural ability or a magical technique?

He subconsciously looked behind him and, seeing that no one had noticed what had happened, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Although Su Lenghe's previous abilities were already quite impressive, they were still within their comprehension. What she's doing now is truly incomprehensible, and the fewer people who know about it, the better.

"Master Su, is my uncle completely cured now?" Rong Yan asked worriedly.

His shout startled Rong Lin, who nearly jumped out of his skin: "What are you yelling about, you brat?!"

Rong Yan looked completely innocent and said aggrievedly, "I was just in a hurry."

Su Lenghe walked over: "I've only removed the curse on him, but I haven't been able to change his fate."

The joy on the Rong family members' faces vanished without a trace, replaced by expressions of sorrow.

Rong Yan's voice trembled as he said, "Master Su, could it be... that my uncle is still going to die?"

He dared not say the rest, as if remaining silent would prevent the event from happening.
