Chapter 2 The Son Who Fell into the River

Qin Yan looked toward the sound and saw a woman clinging to the railing by the river, screaming, "Help!"

He immediately ran over and asked anxiously, "Who fell down?"

The woman's face turned deathly pale, and she almost cried out, "My son!"

What!

Qin Yan panicked upon hearing this. The river was swift, and it was winter. If they went down there, they would freeze to death, and the child would likely be in grave danger.

Every second that passes increases the danger.

Without the slightest hesitation, Qin Yan took off his coat, turned over, and stood on the railing.

Just as he was about to jump, Su Lenghe's words suddenly came to mind: "Stay away from the water."

In the blink of an eye, something suddenly darted out of the water and was splashing around. Upon closer inspection, it was a small, snow-white dog.

"Son, son!" the woman cried out in surprise, tears streaming down her face.

Hearing its owner's call, the dog struggled even harder and, guided by the woman, finally swam to shore.

Qin Yan slipped and swayed, almost falling in. Fortunately, he regained his balance, but his shoe fell into the river.

The shoe went into the water, spun around, and then disappeared completely.

Qin Yan broke out in a cold sweat; if he had fallen into the water, he probably wouldn't have come back.

He boasted of his superb swimming skills, claiming that swimming to the other side of the river would be no problem, which was why he had planned to jump into the water to save the person.

Because of his familiarity with water, he was able to see the undercurrents in the river just now. If he had fallen in, he would probably have become a wronged soul in the water.

Qin Yan stood firmly on the ground, his heart pounding wildly. Miss Su had saved his life; she was truly a remarkable person!

He glanced at the woman and couldn't help but roll his eyes.

He couldn't even speak clearly. If he had known it was a dog, he would have just fished it out with a net.

After getting off the bus, Su Lenghe walked straight ahead, through a small alley, and into an apartment building.

This place is very close to the original owner's university. Because she wasn't used to living on campus, she bought the house with her pocket money.

If I hadn't been kicked out by the Su family, I would never have remembered that this house existed.

The one-bedroom apartment felt even smaller once a suitcase was placed inside.

Su Lenghe sat on the sofa studying this thing called a cell phone. Cell phones can make and receive calls, send and receive messages, and surf the internet.

She's currently burdened with a debt of five million and doesn't know how she'll make money.

Just then, her phone rang. When she opened it, she saw it was from Li Mengping, a former friend of the original owner of the body: "Su Lenghe, I heard you were kicked out of the Su family?"

Her relationship with the original owner of this body was neither good nor bad; she was prone to taking advantage of others.

Su Lenghe's voice was cold and unreadable: "Mm."

"You're not angry?" Li Mengping was surprised to hear the calm tone. She paused for two seconds, then said mysteriously, "I saw someone today."

"oh."

“I saw your boyfriend today. The Su family’s daughter was standing next to him. I even took a picture. Do you want to know what she looks like?” Li Mengping didn’t speak, waiting for Su Lenghe’s reaction.

"I don't want to." Su Lenghe was focused on making money and had no interest in these things at all.

"Keep pretending. Don't hide under the covers and cry later. You're not the eldest daughter of the Su family anymore. No one will comfort you now!"

When are you going to pay me back the money I borrowed from you?

"What money?" Li Mengping asked in a flustered voice. "You lent it to me on your own initiative, and we agreed that I didn't have to pay it back. How could you go back on your word?"

"You have to return things you borrow, or you'll be in trouble..."

"Beep beep beep—" Li Mengping hurriedly hung up the phone, calmed herself down, and a gloating smile appeared on her lips.

She used to be so arrogant and domineering, but now she's fallen into the mud. She actually dares to ask her to repay the money? No way!

He even cursed her, saying she wouldn't pay back the money even if she had it!

Su Lenghe's eyes were cold and clear. It was impossible to persuade this damned ghost with kind words. She had said all she could say, and whatever the outcome, it was up to the other party's fate.

Keep scrolling through your phone, researching how to make money.

She opened her browser and typed in the search bar: "How to make money quickly".

The comments were varied, ranging from telling people to buy a lottery ticket, to recommending reading criminal law, and even suggesting starting a social media account...

The consequences of lotteries are too great; the laws of nature will adjust and correct them.

If it's not meant to be yours, once you buy a lottery ticket, fate will adjust the numbers, and you'll never win.

Those in the Xuanmen sect would not violate the criminal law.

Self-media is an option. Su Lenghe did a search and found that there is a profession called "live streamer" in this world, and top live streamers can earn tens of millions a year.

She desperately needs to make money right now, and being a live streamer would be a great option.

Shu Lenghe flipped to the Douyin live streaming platform to see how other people stream.

There are good-looking streamers, talented streamers, and technical streamers...

She has good looks, but she doesn't use them to please people, and she has absolutely no talent.

It wasn't that she didn't want to learn, but her mother said that learning was too tiring, and all she needed to do was play as much as she could.

She actually believed it, and all she did was eat, drink, and have fun. Her grades were always at the bottom of the class, but her family never said anything to her.

Looking back now, it's really strange; Su's mother didn't seem like a normal mother at all.

They didn't care about her grades at all, and didn't even react when she was at the bottom of the class, unlike other parents.

When she was in elementary school, she always used the cheapest food and clothing, and rumors gradually spread that Su Lenghe was not a child of the Su family.

Later, a neighbor, unable to bear it any longer, jokingly said, "Your child must have been adopted, right? He doesn't even have a coat in the dead of winter."

Su's mother reacted strongly: "You're talking nonsense!"
