Chapter 23 Real and Fake Scammers

The call connected, and a portly man appeared on camera, wearing a gold necklace thicker than a thumb. He reached out and greeted her, "Hey sis."

With a thick Northeastern accent, his five fingers were adorned with jewels, and he wore a Bodhi seed bracelet on his wrist. Even the strands of his hair exuded wealth.

Brother, I am your long-lost half-brother.

Hey bro, do you need a guard dog?

【Sir, how could you trouble yourself to wave? I'll do it for you next time】

Su Lenghe said calmly, "What do you want to calculate?"

Seeing Su Lenghe's indifferent expression, a hint of surprise flashed in Rong Yan's eyes.

Most girls would take a second look at these jewels, but Su Lenghe didn't glance at them once. She was truly a master. Thinking that he could often be by her side, he felt a hidden joy in his heart.

The scammer said, "Hey sis, here's what happened. A few days ago, I was scammed out of a million yuan. I thought it was over and done with, but today I got a call saying that the police had recovered the money and that I should come and collect it. How can you treat people like this?"

"I was thinking of making a video call to the scammer, and having you do some calculations to scare him."

Fearing that Su Lenghe wouldn't agree, the swindler sent her three rockets while simultaneously making a video call to her using another phone.

The call connected, and the person on the other end was dressed in a police uniform, speaking with a helpless tone: "I'm really not a scammer. I'll show you where I work to prove my identity."

Scammer, get lost: "Stop with the nonsense, you scammer. Let me tell you, I found a metaphysical master who can calculate your identity perfectly. You can't fool me."

He said shrewdly, "I know all your tricks. The clothes are fake, the house is just for show, and those people in uniforms walking around behind you look pretty real. You've fooled quite a few people, haven't you?"

The uniformed young man rubbed his temples and said helplessly, "What if the calculation shows that I'm really right?"

"I'll buy the first flight over right away."

Uniformed young man: "Okay, then calculate it for me."

The conman pointed his other phone at the camera, letting Su Lenghe see the uniformed young man's face: "Little sister, this time I'll do whatever you say."

With regular facial features, an upright appearance, and an innate sense of righteousness, one doesn't even need to look closely to know that the other person cannot be a swindler.

Su Lenghe said calmly, "He is real."

The conman frowned, looking doubtful: "Streamer, you're really not lying to me."

Su Lenghe: "This police officer wants you to go to the south, right?"

The conman nodded frantically, "I'm in the north. You're trying to trick me into going to the south, are you trying to sell me?"

The uniformed officer laughed: "The scammer was caught in our jurisdiction. According to regulations, only the victim can come to collect the defrauded money with their own ID card. Didn't I send you my police badge number in a private message? Didn't you check the official website?"

The scammer switched the video, opened a webpage, entered the police sigil received on his phone, his eyes suddenly widened, and he gave an embarrassed smile: "Brother, I'm sorry, I didn't check before."

[How lucky! I got scammed but still managed to get my money back.]

This is like a windfall; it's normal to be wary after being scammed.

[This streamer is amazing! I'm a fan!]

Uniformed officer: "This citizen, you are very vigilant. I hope you will continue to be so."

After hanging up the call from the uniformed guy, the conman gave Su Lenghe a thumbs up: "You're awesome, sis. I'm going to buy a plane ticket now, I'm logging off."

After hanging up, he sent Su Lenghe ten rockets as a reward.

Su Lenghe: "Everyone, today's three divinations are over. See you tomorrow."

[Host, what time is it tomorrow?]

Su Lenghe: "When are you usually free?"

The times people mentioned varied, and Su Lenghe noticed that people had less free time on weekdays and more free time on weekends.

Su Lenghe: "See you at seven tomorrow."

Rong Yan's live stream on his phone was shut down, and the black screen reflected his gleaming eyes.

He stood up and said to Su Lenghe, "I'll bring you something delicious tomorrow."

Thinking of the roast duck Rong Yan brought today, Su Lenghe nodded. How come she never realized she liked to eat in her past life?

Seeing Rong Yan's attentive manner, Su Lenghe knew exactly what he was up to, but this was also a good thing.

The Su family.

Su Xueying saw the message Ren Rui sent on her phone, snorted coldly, and slammed the phone heavily onto the sofa.

The sofa slumped down and bounced up suddenly, the phone fell to the ground and shattered into pieces.

When Su's mother saw this, she rushed over and hugged Su Xueying, saying, "My dear daughter, what's wrong? Who made you angry?"

Su Xueying crossed her arms, turned her face to the side, and glanced at her phone: "Mom, you said that bitch Su Lenghe would die, so how come she's still alive and well?"

Su's mother patted Su Xueying's back to soothe her: "Mom doesn't know either. The Taoist priest said she was supposed to die on her birthday."

Su Xueying was so angry her nose was crooked, and she gasped for breath, "Mom, you've raised her for so long, haven't you developed feelings for her? Is that why she didn't die!"

Su's mother felt very wronged: "My dear daughter, you're out of your mind. I haven't taken care of her all these years, and I've raised her to be a good-for-nothing. Look how many tutoring classes I've enrolled you in all these years, trying to cultivate you into a well-bred young lady."

"Don't worry, even if that bitch is tough, she won't live long. Before kicking her out, Mom made her spend five million on shopping. That debt will drive her to her death."

Will they really not pay it back?

For some reason, Su Xueying felt uneasy.

Hearing this, Su Xueying's anger subsided considerably, and she sat down on the sofa with her mother: "What did the Taoist priest say?"
