Chapter 24 The Vanished Ghost

A black BYD caught Su Lenghe's attention.

It's the Su family's license plate, usually used by the nanny to buy groceries, and it's parked in the corner of the garage.

This place is far from the Su family home, so why would the nanny be here?

Su Lenghe couldn't help but glance over and discovered that the driver was a Taoist priest, with another Taoist priest sitting next to him.

Li Mengping said that Su's mother had invited a Taoist priest, which must have been the two of them.

Given how the Su family treated the original owner of this body, it's no wonder she encountered some misfortune; Su Lenghe didn't want to get involved.

She looked away and continued to wait for Rong Yan.

She just called Rong Yan to ask where to buy jade pendants on the antique street, but Rong Yan said he had made a new discovery and wanted to come directly to her.

A short while later, a black supercar pulled up to the side of the road.

Rong Yan scurried out of the car and opened the door, saying, "Master Su, please!"

Su Lenghe remained calm as she sat in the car: "You've discovered who cast the curse?"

Rong Yan nodded, then shook his head.

"According to my uncle's schedule, I visited our relatives today..." He glanced at the table, then hesitated.

Su Lenghe: "What does this have to do with me?"

Rong Yan nodded: "It's your former fiancé, Feng Yu's grandfather."

Seeing that Su Lenghe's expression was normal, he felt reassured and spoke boldly.

Feng Yu's grandfather, Feng Zhen, was a distant cousin of Old Madam Rong. Through Old Madam Rong's connections, Feng Zhen managed the Rong family's warehouse.

Eleven years ago, the Rong family discovered that Feng Zhen had taken a lot of kickbacks, nearly 20 million.

Grandpa Rong was so angry that he fell seriously ill and kicked Feng Zhen out. As for the embezzled money, Grandpa Rong felt that his management was also problematic, and seeing that Feng Yu was still young, he did not try to recover it.

Unexpectedly, after being driven out of Fengzhen, he started his own company and stole most of the Rong family's resources. He had been plotting this for a long time and even engaged in vicious competition, using money at a loss to steal his partners.

Old Master Rong fell ill and passed away, causing the Rong family to plummet and teeter on the brink of bankruptcy.

When this was mentioned, Rong Yan's eyebrows drooped, and his lowered eyes concealed his emotions.

Su Lenghe said calmly, "The Feng family's ingrate gene will indeed be inherited."

If it weren't for the original owner protecting Feng Yu, he would have been bullied to death by his brothers long ago. In the blink of an eye, he embraced someone else. He was also one of the important murderers who caused the original owner's death.

Su Lenghe didn't understand love and didn't know why he could hurt her so much when he no longer loved her.

In her view, birth, aging, illness and death are all natural laws, and there is no need to be too sentimental.

Rong Yan glanced at Su Lenghe cautiously. Seeing her calm expression, he realized that her words were not out of anger, but simply a statement of fact. He admired and envied her composure.

He mimicked Su Lenghe's composure, took a deep breath, and felt as if nothing in this world was a big deal.

“Master Su, today’s events are strange. When I saw Feng Zhen, the talisman was burning hot. I initially thought it was him, but then the talisman returned to normal.”

"Could it be my imagination?" He had never doubted the problem with the talisman.

"Let me see it first."
