Chapter 42 explains everything perfectly.

Su Lenghe's voice was clear and cold: "Open your eyes."

Upon hearing this, the two men trembled even more violently: "We really know we were wrong, please let us go."

Su Lenghe waved her hand gently, and the two men opened their eyes involuntarily. They saw Su Lenghe dressed casually at home and realized that they were now back in Su Lenghe's room.

Upon seeing Su Lenghe, the two men, with tears in their eyes, repeatedly kowtowed to her, saying, "Master Su, we know we were wrong. Please forgive us this time. This is the first time we've done something wrong."

Su Lenghe swept her cold gaze over them, her voice icy: "First time?"

The two men froze abruptly: "No...no!"

Su Lenghe said, "Go and turn yourself in. Confess everything, otherwise..."

The two men, as if granted a pardon, fled out the door.

Once outside the room, Zhang Gui, the man in black, said, "She won't know even if we run away, so... ouch!"

Before he could finish speaking, he lost his footing and rolled down the stairs like a ball. Hearing his screams, and remembering what had happened the night before, Zhao Wu, the man in the security guard uniform, dared not have any wicked thoughts. He ran down to help the man up and headed straight for the police station.

Last night, Zhang Gui came to him and said that he saw a piece of jade that was sold at the jade exchange today in Su Lenghe's live broadcast room. It was very valuable, and if he could steal it and sell it, he would never have to work again in his life.

Zhao Wu works as a security guard in the residential area where Su Lenghe lives. His salary is very low. He usually works with Zhang Gui to steal a lot of things from the residents, and they manage to make a living.

They thought this time would go as smoothly as before, but when they pried open the door, they found themselves standing outside again.

At first, the two thought they were hallucinating, but when the same thing happened the second time, they realized something was wrong and decided to leave. But when they took a step, they found themselves back in the house.

Since they were already there, they decided to move the jade first, but unexpectedly, they found themselves back in the stairwell.

They'll appear in the hallway if they want to go inside, and they'll be inside again if they want to leave...

After walking all night, their spirits finally gave way and they collapsed.

Li Hong was about to leave work. He had gone undercover yesterday and captured a fugitive, spending the whole night writing a report. Just then, he saw two men walking towards him.

The man in black, covered in injuries, limped over, supported by a man in a security guard uniform.

Zhang Gui: "Officer, I want to call the police."

Li Hong's eyes immediately lit up, and he picked up his notebook to take notes: "What kind of police report do you want to make?"

Zhao Wu corrected him, "We want to turn ourselves in."

Li Hong glanced up a step ahead and asked, "Did you injure him?"

Zhao Wu shook his head: "It wasn't me. We're here to confess our crimes."

He confessed to all the thefts he and Zhang Gui had committed over the years in a completely transparent manner. This was the first time Li Hong had ever heard of someone confess like this in his career.

At three, I stole the neighbor's apple tree; at five, I stole radishes from someone's field; at seven, I stole someone's eggs; at ten, I stole chickens; at eighteen, I peeped at the neighbor's older sister taking a bath...

Li Hong poured out all the bad things he had done since childhood, like spilling beans, filling a full eighteen pages with his record...

The security guards in the community were caught stealing from their own property, and the property management company was severely reprimanded. Knowing they were in the wrong, the property management company gave each resident a small gift.

The gifts the property management gave Su Lenghe were exceptionally generous. Surveillance footage showed that Zhao Wu and another person were constantly opening and closing the door to Su Lenghe's room. The property management was terrified, but fortunately, nothing serious happened.

When Rong Yan heard about this, he quickly told Su Lenghe to move. Su Lenghe didn't care and said, "It's okay, bad people can't get in here."

When his attempts to persuade them failed, Rong Yan had no choice but to give up. He asked curiously, "Why do they keep going in and out of this place, like they're trapped in a maze?"

Su Lenghe nodded approvingly, "It's just an ordinary formation."

Rong Yan's eyes sparkled as he exclaimed admiringly, "Master Su, you're amazing!"

Not long after, Su Lenghe suddenly received a call from a courier company. When she went downstairs, she found that it was a package sent by the Su family and refused to accept it.

Shortly after refusing to accept the package, she received a call from Su's mother: "Leng He, how have you been lately?"

Su Lenghe replied indifferently, "Not bad."

Hearing these emotionless words, Su's mother was stunned for a moment. She thought Su Lenghe would be angry or beg to return to the Su family, but she did not expect her to speak to a stranger in this tone.

Su's mother sighed softly: "Leng He, I know you're blaming your mother, but you were too immature before, and your mother had no choice but to do so. If you change those bad habits, your mother is willing to accept you back."

Su Lenghe interrupted her mother's insincere conversation: "What exactly are you trying to say?"

Su's mother: "My birthday banquet is coming up, and I wanted you to attend, so I sent you a dress. I didn't expect you to refuse it. You will come, right?"

Su Lenghe: Yes, I'll hang up now if there's nothing else.

After hanging up the phone, Su Lenghe immediately added the number to her blacklist.

"Cold... beep beep beep." Before I could finish speaking, the other end hung up.

The smile on Su's mother's face vanished instantly, and Su Xueying anxiously asked from the side, "Mom, will she come?"

Mother Su nodded, a sinister glint in her eyes: "She didn't want those outdated dresses; I don't know how embarrassing she'll be at the birthday banquet."

Su Xueying asked hesitantly, "Mom, won't your birthday banquet be affected?"

Su's mother smiled lovingly: "As long as my precious daughter has a smooth life, my birthday banquet is not important."
