Chapter 5 Bloodshed

Su Lenghe walked into the convenience store and looked at the prices of the boxed meals. The cheapest one was 15 yuan. Thinking about her three meals a day, she felt a pang of pain in her heart.

In her previous life, before she learned to fast, she tried cooking for herself, but the taste was not flattering.

It's no exaggeration to say that her culinary skills are absolutely top-notch in the coal industry.

"Leng He." A male voice called her.

Su Lenghe glanced to the side and saw a man of similar age waving to her.

He was 1.8 meters tall, dressed in a well-fitting suit. Judging from the fabric and cut, it was obviously expensive. The watch on his wrist gleamed under the light. He looked quite presentable.

His eyes, narrowed into slits with a shrewd glint, tinged with schadenfreude, were crinkled with countless fine lines at the corners.

Feng Yu, the one who almost got engaged to the original owner of this body, said in a gentle voice, "Leng He, it's so good to see you. I heard you moved away from the Su family."

Su Lenghe said calmly, "Mm."

Feng Yu is shrouded in dark energy; even without her intervention, she will find life unpleasant.

Seeing her cold demeanor, Feng Yu paused for a moment, his probing gaze falling on Su Lenghe's face as he carefully observed her expression, slightly surprised.

The face hasn't changed at all, but it gives the impression of a completely different person.

She used to have a bad temper and often got angry at others, but she was completely obedient to him, and would never go west if he told her to go east.

Now, seeing him, he looks indifferent, as if he's looking at a stranger.

He didn't like her at first, but he got together with her because she was the daughter of the Su family, hoping it would give him more leverage in his path to power.

He felt something was wrong when the Su family kicked her out this time. He thought it was all a scheme by the Su family, and that they might take her back someday.

He planned to keep Su Lenghe hooked, maintaining the marriage agreement with the Su family. If the Su family called Su Lenghe back, he would have another ally.

If the Su family maintains their current attitude, he'll gain another woman, so it won't be a loss for him.

Feng Yu bent down and said with concern, "You've lost weight."

Her expression was one of deep concern, as if she wished he could suffer in her place.

Su Lenghe reacted quickly and dodged, but how much weight could she have lost in just one day?

Seeing her disgusted look, Feng Yu frowned and subconsciously sniffed; he didn't smell bad at all.

He felt that Su Lenghe cared about his engagement to the Su family's real daughter, so he pretended to be troubled and said, "Lenghe, you know that my family has many children. If we don't form an alliance with the Su family through marriage, we won't have another chance. Don't worry, once I'm in power, I can be with you forever."

Su Lenghe curled her lip: "Don't be like that, you have the appearance of a short lifespan, I haven't lived enough yet."

Feng Yu's expression froze, and she said in astonishment, "Leng He, how could you say that about me?"

Su Lenghe carefully examined Feng Yu and was quite certain: "You have a broad forehead but messy eyebrows. You survived a great disaster in your childhood. You had good fortune in your youth, but you were born in winter and are like withered wood. Your eyes lack vitality. If you hadn't moved from the north to the south, you probably wouldn't have survived until now."

Feng Yu didn't understand these fortune-telling sayings, but he did understand that the claim that his luck was bad was simply alarmist. His grandfather had recently become quite satisfied with him and was even considering giving him his shares.

When he was born, his father's legal wife fed his biological mother medicine, which almost killed him. His mother survived only because she fled to her hometown in the north. As a result, she has always been in poor health and gets sick every few days.

When he was five years old, he fell seriously ill. His mother had no money for treatment and had no choice but to ask the Feng family for help.

His mother left him at the Feng family's doorstep. After receiving treatment, his health improved, and he rarely got sick. How could he have died young?

From a young age, he was good at reading people and had a sweet tongue, which made his father very happy. His status in the Feng family gradually rose until he started dating Su Lenghe, which allowed him to finally establish himself.

Therefore, he doesn't care who he marries, he only cares whether the other person can bring him benefits.

The Su family wanted him to marry someone else, and he hesitated until he saw their attitude at his birthday banquet, at which point he decisively chose to marry someone else.

He was certain that his life would get better and better from now on. He didn't care about Su Lenghe's words, but he felt that she was cursing him because she was angry.

She used to put him first in everything, but now she says such vicious things to him.

Feng Yu's face suddenly turned cold, and she said with a hint of hostility, "Su Lenghe, it's not that I don't want to marry you, I just asked you to wait a bit. I didn't expect you to be so petty?"

He took two steps and stopped, waiting for Su Lenghe to coax him: "I don't want to talk to you right now, you can go."

"etc!"

Hearing him being called, Feng Yu's lips curled into a triumphant smile. Sure enough, her previous behavior was all an act; she was really easy to manipulate.

Su Lenghe began, "Could you..."

Feng Yu looked over with an expression that said, "I knew you would say that," but her expression instantly cracked after hearing Su Lenghe's words.

"Hurry up and leave. You're carrying a lot of bad luck and are about to suffer a bloody disaster. It's making people very uncomfortable."

Feng Yu's face darkened, and she glared fiercely at Su Lenghe, gritting her teeth as she said, "You'll regret this!"

After saying that, he strode away, and she could forget about ever getting a place next to him again.

Su Lenghe didn't even glance at him, and let out a long sigh. The turbid air around him was so heavy that it made the surrounding air murky, and it took him a while to recover.

Across from the convenience store, at the hotel, Su Xueying watched Feng Yu approach empty-handed and with a livid face, and asked curiously, "Feng Yu, weren't you going to buy cigarettes?"
