Chapter 54 The Mysterious Taoist Priest

"Using evil magic to harm people, I will act on behalf of Heaven today." Just as she guessed, the Taoist priest in front of her was in cahoots with the Taoist priest from last time.

Xu Tianshi had no desire to continue the fight; his most pressing task was to take Rong Ce's life. He shouted, "Stop him!"

The two young apprentices were blinded by the sandstorm and could only shout, "Master, I can't see anything!"

"Me too, pshaw pshaw pshaw."

Master Xu muttered "useless" under his breath, then produced two talismans that hovered above the two men's heads, forming an invisible barrier that protected them.

Only then did the young apprentice get a clear look at Su Lenghe. She was beautiful and had a pair of eyes that seemed to look down on the world, making people feel uneasy.

They exchanged a knowing glance, drew their swords from their backs, and attacked Su Lenghe.

The sword, reflecting the fluorescent light, gleamed with a chilling light, pointing directly at Su Lenghe's brow. Su Lenghe blocked the attack with her peach wood sword.

Master Xu glanced at the three people locked in combat, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. This girl must die. He would return to take her life after he had finished his business.

He righted the fallen table, set up the altar, and resumed the ritual.

The night sky was still covered with dark clouds, but the clouds were thinner than before. If they delayed any longer and missed the best time, it would be difficult to succeed in casting the spell.

Rong Ce must die immediately. Feng Li's physical condition is extremely poor. If they delay any longer, he may die before Rong Ce, and all their previous efforts will be in vain.

"Thump!"

"Bang!"

The sounds of fighting, accompanied by the thud of heavy objects crashing, constantly filled Xu Tianshi's ears, making him restless and agitated. This little girl was more difficult to deal with than he had anticipated.

But it doesn't matter, he trusts his two apprentices, after all, they will complete the task he assigned even if it costs them their lives.

He took a deep breath, forced himself to concentrate, and began the ritual.

The incantation was chanted softly, and the talisman was offered up to the sky. It had just risen halfway up when it encountered an obstacle and was quickly bounced back.

"She actually used a barrier." Master Xu's heart skipped a beat; he had underestimated Su Lenghe's abilities.

His eyes instinctively glanced at Su Lenghe, but his heart sank. On the surface, Su Lenghe was fighting his two disciples to a standstill.

In reality, Su Lenghe's ability to predict their every move was more like she was teasing them.

It must be because she is young and likes to show off her skills that the battle has been delayed.

However, even if he creates a barrier, it won't work; he has a way to deal with it.

Master Xu couldn't help but smile smugly. He was going to teach Su Lenghe a lesson and show her what it meant to be an experienced person.

He changed to another talisman, lit it on the white candle, chanted a spell, and quickly formed hand seals.

Su Lenghe stood there, looking calm and collected, while the two young Taoist priests opposite her looked disheveled, with many injuries on their faces and bodies.

One of the young Taoist priests slammed his leg against the wall with a cracking sound, his leg twisting and bending. A normal person would have collapsed and cried out in pain in such a situation, but the young Taoist priest's face remained normal, without even a drop of cold sweat.

Rong Yan rushed into the room immediately, but as he walked up the stairs from the first floor to the second floor, it seemed as if some invisible barrier was blocking his way, and he couldn't get past it no matter what he did.

Worried that Su Lenghe was in danger, he repeatedly charged forward with his body, but was bounced away each time.

Sensing someone had intruded into the barrier, Su Lenghe realized she hadn't let Rong Yan in. With a gentle wave of her hand, she broke a hole in the barrier.

Rong Yan rushed over at just the right moment. Due to inertia, he ran forward for a distance before hitting something soft and coming to a stop.

However, he was blinded by the wind and didn't know what he had bumped into.

Su Lenghe glanced at him with her cold eyes. Rong Yan had inadvertently saved her trouble.

"Master Su! Su Lenghe!" Ignoring his fear, Rong Yan first confirmed Su Lenghe's safety.

Su Lenghe waved her hand gently, summoning a talisman. The talisman instantly transformed into a golden light, forming a barrier that protected Rong Yan.

With the golden light barrier in place, Rong Yan was able to see clearly that the soft thing beneath him was actually a human cushion, and it was even a rain-sealing tablet.

Feng Yu's foot was in a cast, so he wasn't injured by the impact. However, his uninjured foot wasn't so lucky; it was clearly badly injured. Feng Li screamed in pain, and his back was soaked with cold sweat.

He gritted his teeth and said fiercely, "Who is it! Do you want to die?!"

Upon seeing the person beneath him, Rong Yan felt only bad luck. Feng Yu was playing around with women everywhere, and he wondered if Feng Yu had any hidden ailments. He quickly got up and hid far away, searching for Su Lenghe's figure.

Su Lenghe was surrounded and attacked by two young Taoist priests who were armed. Startled, he rushed over to try and stop them.

The real thing, gleaming with a cold light, was no joke. He had seen videos online before, showing how a sharpened sword could slice through a thick piece of solid wood in one stroke. If that were to hit a person, it would be disastrous.

Even if Su Lenghe's magic is powerful, her physical body is still that of a young girl. Moreover, she is using a peach wood sword to defend herself, which is like throwing an egg against a rock.

Even if Rong Yan was fast, he was still a step too slow. The young Taoist's sword had already come down. Rong Yan reached out to stop it, shouting, "No!"

The next second, he realized he had worried too much. The peach wood sword clashed with the gleaming sword, producing a metallic clang. Instead of breaking, it sent the young Taoists flying.

He rubbed his eyes in disbelief, making sure he wasn't mistaken; it really was that peach wood sword.

A young Taoist priest fell beside him, and he pounced on him, pinning the young priest down.

With his height of 1.9 meters and his long-term training, pressing down on a 1.7-meter-tall Taoist priest is a piece of cake for him.
