Chapter 7 Antique Bowls

The moment the call connected, Li Mengping's anger was palpable even through the phone: "Su Lenghe, did you cast a curse on me?"

She woke up from a nightmare and instinctively checked her phone to browse Weibo. Su Lenghe's live stream was currently in the top ten most popular.

I never imagined that Su Lenghe could tell fortunes. Wouldn't it be easy for her to curse someone?

Su Lenghe's voice showed no surprise: "You've been entangled so quickly?"

"It really was you! How vicious you are! It was you who cast the curse on me! Undo it now!"

She had been dreaming, and in her dream, a faint voice, neither male nor female, kept calling out to her, "Give me back my things!"

No matter where she ran, the voice could find her, and she could also feel a pair of eyes constantly watching her back.

But every time she turned around, that gaze would reappear behind her, giving her the feeling that someone was always lying on her back.

She woke up with a start; the dream was so real that she cowered under the covers in fear.

Even after she regained consciousness, she felt a pair of eyes staring at her back through the blanket, which made her hair stand on end.

Before she knew it, she fell asleep again, and it was the same dream again, one she couldn't escape no matter what she did.

Upon waking up, she suddenly remembered what Su Lenghe had told her. She had called to vent her emotions, but she never expected it would actually be related to Su Lenghe.

I hadn't realized Su Lenghe was so evil, using sorcery to harm people.

"You're not under a curse, you're just possessed by something!"

"I don't care, just break the curse right now, and I'll give everything back to you." Li Mengping's voice trembled. "Will that make it better?"

"It's no use for me to return it."

Li Mengping burst into tears: "Please, please, please untie me."

Su Lenghe said, "It is indeed unrelated to my things, but you took something that doesn't belong to you this morning."

How did you know?

This morning, Li Mengping went to her uncle's house for lunch and saw that her cousin had a beautiful collection of bowls, so she took them home.

"It was my cousin who ruined me!" My cousin was indeed very angry and even called to take the bowl back, but there was no need for her to harm others.

“It’s not your cousin’s fault,” Su Lenghe said calmly. “That bowl has a spirit; you must have been bleeding.”

"I, I used that bowl to hold fruit, and I cut my finger while cutting the fruit."

"They're really bold to use an antique bowl to hold fruit; those were burial items."

Upon hearing this, Li Mengping turned deathly pale, goosebumps instantly spreading all over her body. She seemed to see a rotting person in front of her, stretching out bloody hands and walking towards her.

"This was the tomb owner's favorite thing during his lifetime, and it became a burial item after his death. The tomb owner's soul is attached to the antique, and your blood becomes the key to release his soul."

"What does he want to do?" Li Mengping's voice trembled.

"I want you to return his things."

Return it? Are you suggesting we make her pay with her life?!

Li Mengping cried out in terror, "I don't want to die! Save me, please save me!"

She instinctively felt that Su Lenghe must have a way, like a drowning person desperately grasping at a straw, she had to hold on tight.

I'm so regretful! Why was I so greedy?

"I can save you, but the reward is three thousand."

The time Li Mengping called happened to be an extremely inauspicious time. Su Lenghe, who was used to divining, predicted that Li Mengping would be entangled by something.

This thing shouldn't exist in the human world. Since Su Lenghe has encountered it, she should send it away to prevent it from causing harm to the world.

What should I do?

"Bring me the antique bowl first."

After hanging up the phone, Su Lenghe bid farewell to Rong Ce and arrived at the apartment. Li Mengping happened to be downstairs at that moment.

Based on the address provided by Su Lenghe, Li Mengping found it as quickly as she could ever have in her life.

Li Mengping respectfully handed the bowl over with both hands, and Su Lenghe casually took it with one hand. Li Mengping's heart clenched with anxiety.

If it breaks, she'll lose her life.

This is a blue and white porcelain bowl from the late Chenghua period. The blue and white porcelain has a soft and elegant color, smooth and dignified lines, and a strong jade-like texture. It is warm, translucent, and simple.

Su Lenghe casually placed the bowl on the table, dipped her brush in cinnabar, closed her eyes to concentrate, and suddenly opened them, her eyes sparkling with a lively light.

With fluid, effortless movements, a gleaming golden talisman appeared before her eyes. Su Lenghe's fingers moved rapidly, forming a hand seal. She pointed two fingers forward and shouted, "Go!"

The talisman rose without wind, floated in mid-air, and slowly landed on the antique bowl, igniting with a whoosh and emitting an eerie blue light.

Li Mengping was so shocked that her mouth was wide open enough to fit an egg, and her eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

This defies the common sense of physics and Newton's laws. If I hadn't encountered this strange event, I probably would have thought it was a magic trick.

But she did know that all of this was a real fact that could not be explained by science.

There was no wind in the room, and the blue flames flickered violently, as if something was struggling to die, and faint screams could be heard.

The flames suddenly grew larger, accompanied by a piercing scream, and then vanished.

Li Mengping forcibly suppressed the urge to jump out of her throat, and tiptoed to peek at the antique bowl. It was completely empty, with not a trace of the talisman's ash.

Li Mengping asked cautiously, "Master Su, has the problem been solved?"

Su Lenghe nodded.

Li Mengping breathed a sigh of relief; the antique bowl did indeed no longer have that cold, gloomy feeling it had before.

She asked, "Where was it sent?"
