The speaker was Yu Ran's biological father. She knew that Yu's father had no heart, but she didn't know that he could be so shameless.
Yu Ran struggled desperately, trying to break free of her restraints: "Let me go!"
Mr. Yu chuckled: "I'll let go of you, or my money will be gone in a minute."
money?
Who would give him money?
There was a creaking sound, followed by a series of heavy footsteps.
Yu Ran glanced to the side and saw another familiar face.
Xia Yi walked in, and Yu's father's face was full of smiles, his expression obsequious: "Xia Yi, I've brought the person, now give me this land."
As he spoke, Yu's father made a counting motion with his hands.
Xia Yi gave Yu's father a disdainful look: "You'd even betray your family for money."
Yu's father, however, shamelessly retorted, "Without me betraying my daughter, could you have achieved your goal?"
Xia Yi took out some money from her pocket and said coldly, "About today's matter."
The moment he saw the money, Mr. Yu's eyes lit up: "Don't worry, I know the rules, I promise I won't utter a single word."
After saying that, he walked out of the room with a smile.
What kind of family is he? He can't give them money, he's completely useless.
It's better to sacrifice it for money.
Without him, there would be no Yu Ran.
Even though Yu Ran's life is worthless, using it to earn gambling funds is still somewhat valuable.
At worst, he'll just burn a couple more pieces of paper after she dies.
The premise is that he can turn his fortunes around in this gamble.
Once he has money, he'll find a woman and have a son!
"Thump—"
"Ah!" Yu Ran screamed in agony.
While Yu's father was still immersed in his dreams for the future, a dull pain came from the back of his head.
He subconsciously turned his head to look and saw Xia Yi holding a stone the size of a pomelo with a ferocious expression.
The top of the stone still had bloodstains on it.
Father Yu opened his mouth, his eyes filled with boundless hatred: "You..."
After he finished speaking, a muffled thud was heard as Yu's father crashed heavily to the ground, kicking up dust.
The immense fear nearly blew the top of Yu Ran's head off.
Xia Yi approached Yu's father, closed her eyes, and took large gulps of something.
Yu's father's body slowly withered away, until only a skin remained.
It looks exactly like the zombies in the movies.
What the hell is Xia Yi?!
Yu Ran's heart pounded wildly.
Xia Yi tossed the stone aside, turned to Yu Ran and grinned, "Don't worry, it'll be your turn soon."
His face was splattered with blood, and his eerie smile was quite unsettling.
"What are you going to do?" Yu Ran's voice trembled with fear.
Xia Yi's smile vanished, and her face twisted into a grimace: "It's all your fault. You should have just stayed here and become a ghost. Now I have to go through all this trouble to rearrange things."
Yu Ran screamed in terror, "Help!"
Xia Yi used her fingers as a brush to draw talismans in the air, while Yu Ran felt as if her mouth was sealed shut, unable to open it no matter what she did.
"It's too noisy, better to be quiet."
As he spoke, he drew a circle around Yu Ran, his face stained with Yu's father's blood.
He then placed incense and candles outside the circle.
He sat cross-legged, muttering incantations.
It’s over!
Yu Ran had only one thought in her mind: she was doomed this time.
She closed her eyes in despair, waiting for death's scythe to fall on her neck.
A tremendous, invisible pressure weighed on her, making it difficult for Yu Ran to breathe.
Just when she thought she was about to suffocate, she suddenly heard a loud bang.
Yu Ran opened her eyes. Xia Yi was lying in the distance, clutching her stomach and struggling to stand up.
He walked towards Yu Ran step by step, reaching out to pull her away. Just as his hand was about to touch her, he was sent flying backward and fainted.
Yu Ran saw a huge golden light emanating from her body in that instant.
That was the talisman Su Lenghe had given her.
With the talisman providing a delay, Yu Ran struggled desperately and finally managed to break free of the ropes binding her.
As soon as she broke free, Xia Yi woke up and tried to grab Yu Ran.
Yu Ran ran outside recklessly, but the outside was an open area, making it inconvenient to hide.
Under the cover of darkness, Yu Ran found a place to hide in a haystack and called Su Lenghe.
She hid inside the haystack and quickly restored it to its original state.
Because of fear, the senses are amplified infinitely.
Yu Ran could clearly hear her heartbeat.
“Yu Ran…”
"Yu Ran...I see you!"
Xia Yi was nearby. Yu Ran covered her mouth, forcing her trembling body to calm down.
Hearing the approaching footsteps, Yu Ran couldn't help but tremble.
After a while, there was no more sound.
Could it be that the person has gone far away?
Driven by curiosity, Yu Ran peered out through the gaps in the haystack.
By the faint moonlight, Yu Ran cautiously peered out.
A gust of wind blew by, and a blade of grass rolled away and disappeared from sight.
There were no living creatures.
Yu Ran felt relieved, realizing that she must have been hallucinating from being too nervous.
Xia Yi should have left by now.
Just to be on the safe side, Yu Ran couldn't help but take another look.
"ah!"
A piercing scream echoed through the sky.
Outside the haystack, a red eye stared back at her.
"I've found you."
Red-eyed Yu Ran retreated, nearly fainting from the shock of what she saw.
What kind of monster is this?!
Long white hair, red eyes.
She was wearing Xia Yi's clothes.
He stretched out his claws, the nails were half a finger long, thick, black and yellow, and extremely ugly.
He made an unpleasant sound in his throat.
Like fingernails scratching a blackboard, sharp and piercing.
"There's no time left, you're the one."
