Chapter 38 Human Awakening

Su Lenghe said with a serious expression, "Go to school right now. Your daughter has depression."

The woman burst into laughter: "You're a liar! My daughter has depression, are you kidding me?"

"You're a liar! Tell me, were you hired by my daughter to skip tutoring classes? What a clever trick!"

Su Lenghe was not angry at all; instead, her tone was filled with pity: "Zeng Sufen, that's your name. I didn't lie."

The woman laughed until tears streamed down her face: "You still say you didn't collude? You even managed to predict my name."

“Zeng Su-fen, your daughter only glanced at the school heartthrob today, and rumors have been spread that she has a crush on him. She was locked in the toilet and beaten by the girl the school heartthrob likes. There are also rumors that your daughter seduced him.”

“Now the rumors are being posted on the campus network, and all the students are discussing this. Many people are making sarcastic remarks to your daughter when they see her.”

Zeng Sufen: "She deserves to be ridiculed for dating at such a young age. She should be taught a lesson and focus on her studies."

The fans in the live stream were very anxious and kept sending messages to persuade them.

[Big sister, Master Su wouldn't lie, you should go and check it out!]

Whether it's true or false, there's no harm in taking a look.

School bullying is incredibly damaging. I suffered from depression for many years before finally recovering.

The woman, seemingly perfectly aware of the situation, said, "You people are all fools! This is all feudal superstition, and you actually believe it!"

"She was clearly acting; it was definitely my daughter who conspired with her to deceive me!"

"This little girl is such a worry, it's not that I don't want to buy her clothes."

The woman picked up a floral T-shirt, an old-fashioned style that was a favorite of older women, but the shirt had many holes cut into it.

“I bought this dress for her out of kindness, but she said it was old-fashioned. To teach her a lesson, I cut it up. Later, when she wanted to buy new clothes, I showed her this dress.”

She said proudly, "I must say, it really works. She never asked me to buy her clothes again after that. If you have kids at home, you can learn from me."

Su Lenghe frowned, her face grim. Time was of the essence; if she didn't get to school soon, it would be too late.

Just then, a middle-aged man appeared behind the woman. His face was flushed from drinking. When he saw Zeng Sufeng, he was clearly taken aback: "Why haven't you gone to play mahjong yet?"

Zeng Sufen: "Honey, I met a scammer today. She said our daughter has depression and wants me to go to school now."

Upon hearing this, the man sobered up considerably, grabbed his phone, and yelled, "How dare you curse my daughter! You wait, I'm going to sue you right now!"

Su Lenghe urged, "Liu Zhen, hurry up and get to the rooftop of Building No. 1. It'll be too late if you're any later!"

Hearing this, without caring whether it was true or not, Liu Zhen grabbed his phone and went out. Zeng Sufeng shouted after him, "Hey, my phone..."

The driver hadn't left yet, and had just dropped Liu Zhen off at school. Su Lenghe repeated what she had said to Zeng Sufeng. Upon hearing this, Liu Zhen anxiously asked, "Master, I really didn't know my daughter was being bullied at school. I hope nothing bad has happened to her."

Su Lenghe quickly calculated with her fingers and said urgently, "Follow my instructions, turn left at the traffic light ahead."

The driver advised, "Going straight will save ten minutes."

Liu Zhen gritted his teeth: "Listen to her!"

As the truck turned left to straighten up, the driver noticed a truck suddenly stop in the straight-going direction and begin unloading goods. It looked like it wouldn't be able to unload all the goods in just over ten minutes.

Liu Zhen wiped away a cold sweat. Luckily, he hadn't gone straight, or it would have wasted too much time.

Under Su Lenghe's command, they arrived five minutes earlier than expected.

Liu Zhen arrived at the entrance, registered, and headed straight for Teaching Building No. 1. He ran very fast and didn't dare to stop to rest.

He finally reached the top floor, only to witness a scene that nearly made him explode with rage.

On the rooftop, four or five girls stood. One girl stood on the edge of the roof, crying and shouting, "I don't like him, please let me go!"

The girl in front of her didn't listen to a word she said: "Pah! You think you're worthy of liking the school heartthrob? Look at yourself!"

"What's wrong? Trying to jump off a building? I don't believe you have the guts. Go ahead and jump!"

"If you don't jump today, we'll beat you to death when we get back to the dorm!"

Liu Yan gradually lost herself amidst the insults. She stood on the edge of fame, her eyes filled with despair!

The girls next to him weren't scared at all; instead, they cheered, "Jump! Jump!"

"No!" Liu Zhen rushed forward and pulled Liu Yan down in one swift motion. "No!"

The girls nearby scattered like birds when they heard someone coming.

Liu Yan lay in Liu Zhen's arms, her eyes blank, only murmuring, "Let me die! I don't deserve to live!"

Liu Zhen slapped himself several times, tears streaming down his face from the pain: "Please don't die. You can tell Dad anything. It's Dad's fault for not protecting you."

The phone fell to the ground the instant he rushed over. The live stream couldn't see what was happening here, but Liu Zhen's self-blame and Liu Yan's despair could be heard in his voice.

Thankfully, I managed to grab him; he almost jumped.

Those who commit school bullying deserve to die; how can someone so young have such a vicious heart!

[My heart aches for Liu Yan; her mother was also one of the perpetrators.]

Once the two had calmed down, Su Lenghe asked softly, "Liu Zhen, do you miss your daughter?"

Liu Zhen quickly picked up his phone and pleaded, "Master, you saved my daughter. You are truly skilled. Please save her again."

“I only have one daughter. It’s all my fault. I’m busy making money all day long and can’t come home more than a few times a month. It’s all my fault.”

Su Lenghe: "You spend time with your daughter first. Message me privately, and I'll call you after the live stream ends."

Liu Zhen: "Okay, thank you, Master Su."

After hanging up the phone, Liu Zhen's eyes flashed with rage; he wouldn't let any of these bad people get away with it.

The atmosphere in the live stream was very tense, and most people in the chat were not worried about Liu Yan.

Master, will that little girl be alright?

[Is the little girl going the wrong way again?]

Su Lenghe's voice was cold: "Don't worry, her father went to pick her up, which gave her hope. She will get better in the future."

Hearing Su Lenghe's calm voice, the audience felt a sense of security for no apparent reason.

Su Lenghe connected to the second person, whose name was "Heart Like Still Water" and whose profile picture was a cartoon image of Sherlock Holmes.

In the video, a handsome, fair-skinned man wearing gold-rimmed glasses, with narrow, almond-shaped eyes and thin lips, embodies the currently popular male style.

Wow, that guy is so handsome!

[Is this guy here to find a girlfriend?]

This guy is at least a bit better looking than me.

Seeing the praise in the comments, the man smiled shyly and whispered, "Streamer, I...I want to find my girlfriend."

While speaking, he kept his eyes fixed on the ground, looking like an innocent young man.

Su Lenghe glanced at the man and directly refused, "I don't count!"
