Chapter 104 Who Do You Eat With?

Despite this, he still didn't dare to show himself. Instead, he hid in the bushes nearby and took pictures of all the evidence with his phone.

Yi An watched Su Yan walk gracefully into the company before slowly getting into her car and driving towards the company.

As Yi An brushed past the bushes where He Yao was hiding, he deliberately turned his head to look over. When he saw the figure who was frantically trying to avoid him like a rat crossing the street, a disdainful smile appeared on his lips.

He Yao only cautiously peeked out after confirming that Yi An hadn't noticed him and that the car had disappeared from sight.

He gripped his phone tightly, saying, "You just wait!"

He was trembling all over as he said this, and his face was contorted with rage.

He Yao, clutching his evidence, lingered at the company all day, hoping to find an opportunity to question Su Yan, but he didn't even get to see her once.

Su Yan seemed guilty and deliberately hid away.

He Yao was furious all day because the messages went unanswered and he couldn't see the person. He was so dizzy and disoriented that he couldn't even do his work properly.

He was so distracted during the meeting because of this that he was unlucky enough to be caught by his boss, who then gave him a severe scolding.

He was filled with resentment and blamed all his misfortunes on Su Yan.

As for Su Yan, she was leisurely leaning back in her chair, sipping the coffee in her hand.

Not far away, He Man's sharp gaze was fixed on her.

Su Yan's design department just issued an overtime notice, meaning she will be working as usual tomorrow, even though it's the weekend.

For a company where weekends off are never disrupted, the reason for suddenly taking up employees' weekend time is obvious to anyone who thinks about it; it must be related to the meeting that day.

Even though it was He Man's own fault, she insisted on blaming everything on Su Yan.

She had planned to take her son to the aquarium this weekend, but now, all of that has been ruined because of this scheming woman.

Who knows what kind of trouble her son will cause!

That's not the worst part. The worst part is that her husband is going on a business trip this weekend. If she also goes to work, there will be no one to help her take care of the child.

The thought of this filled He Man with irritation.

Just then, a colleague was complaining about working overtime on the weekend, which gave He Man a perfect outlet for her frustration.

"Why are you still working overtime on the weekend?"

"Yes, I was planning to have a nice meal with my boyfriend this weekend to celebrate our anniversary! But then I had to work overtime, and everything fell through."

He Man sneered and took over the conversation.

"What else could it be! It's because someone played dirty tricks in the meeting, dragging down the whole office. If I were her, I wouldn't have stayed here long ago. But what can I do? She's shameless enough to stay here like nothing happened."

She deliberately raised her voice.

The complaining in the office stopped abruptly, replaced by a palpable sense of awkwardness.

Anyone who isn't an idiot can understand that these words are meant for Su Yan.

Everyone cowered and shrank back, no longer daring to get involved, silently watching from the sidelines and observing Su Yan's expression.

Su Yan remained calm and spoke up as soon as He Man finished speaking.

"Absolutely! It's infuriating that the thief cries 'stop thief'! They're blaming others for their own mistakes, acting like they own the company!"

If it contained gunpowder, it would have blown up Heman immediately.

She jumped up from her seat, pointed at Su Yan, and angrily shouted, "Who are you talking about!"

Su Yan smiled and said, "Who else could it be? Who got their tail stepped on, got anxious, and jumped out? That's who we're talking about."

He Man's face turned pale. She hadn't expected Su Yan, a mere newcomer, to dare to talk back to her like that.

"Explain yourself!"

She rolled up her sleeves and rushed forward.

Just when everyone thought Su Yan was about to suffer, Su Yan suddenly smiled and called out, "President Yi, don't worry, I'll keep an eye on the design department for you."

He Man stopped abruptly, only then noticing that Su Yan was still holding a cell phone.

She looked as if she had swallowed a fly; her face was ashen, and she stood frozen in place, too afraid to move.

Not to mention her, everyone else was terrified when they heard Yi'an's name.

Su Yan glanced at everyone with a smile, then picked up her phone and ostentatiously got up and walked out.

"Mr. Yi, the signal here is bad. Let me go upstairs and explain the situation to you in detail."

As soon as Su Yan stepped out of the office, He Man's legs went weak, and she collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Others rushed to help her up, but they couldn't lift her up no matter what they did.

He Man's mind was filled with Su Yan's threatening words, "It's over, it's completely over."

Using the reflection in the door, Su Yan could see the situation in the office clearly. She put down her phone with a charming smile.

The phone screen was clearly showing the homepage; there was no mention of Yi'an's call.

Su Yan felt that if she did this, she could probably scare He Man away and give her some peace and quiet for a day.

With this in mind, she decided to take a stroll on the rooftop before returning, and to make this performance as real as possible.

But before she could reach the rooftop, she was caught red-handed by He Yao, who was lingering near the elevator.

Su Yan was stunned for a moment when she saw him.

"Yao..."

Before he could even utter the word "brother," He Yao grabbed his wrist in a fit of rage and shoved him mercilessly into the elevator.

Su Yan had never seen him like this before. He always put on a gentlemanly and polite demeanor in front of her, being considerate in everything, gentle in nature, and as perfect as a mannequin.

But looking at his sinister appearance now, he seems like a completely different person.

Or rather, the person in front of me is the real him.

Su Yan did not resist and let him pull her to the rooftop.

He Yao disgustedly shook off Su Yan, showing no pity whatsoever, and immediately launched into a barrage of questions.

"Where did you go last night? Why didn't you answer my calls or reply to my messages?"

Su Yan pretended to hesitate, lowered her head and thought for a moment before answering.

"I... went to dinner last night."

When He Yao saw her hesitant manner, he immediately felt that she was deliberately hiding something.

Then, considering that she hadn't been able to be contacted all night and that she had gotten out of Yi An's car this morning, he couldn't control his emotions any longer.

"Eat? Who are you eating with?" he roared at him.

Su Yan: "I was having dinner with my former coffee shop owner when she suddenly needed to talk to me, so I..."

Before Su Yan could finish explaining, He Yao interrupted her with a cold laugh.

"With your former boss? Didn't you say you didn't get along with her? How come you're together again?"

"I..." Su Yan wanted to explain something, but then realized something and looked up at him, "Brother Yao, what do you mean by this? Are you doubting me?"

He Yao nodded with a sneer, "Don't you think your explanation is ridiculous? Did you have dinner with your former boss? Or with your current boss? Su Yan, you're really something, you can even end up in the car or in bed with someone while having dinner!"
