Chapter 114 I'm Doing This Because I Love You (shuhaige.net)

With Duan Sisi's help to soothe her and give her water, Su Yan's complexion gradually regained its rosy hue.

When Duan Sisi saw that she had finally returned to human form, she breathed a long sigh of relief.

"You have the nerve to mediate for others! You almost got yourself into a situation where others spoke up for you!"

Hearing her complaints, Su Yan gave a wry smile.

Do you know what she asked me?

"What?"

Duan Sisi was also very curious about what that ordinary girl had said that could deliver a fatal blow and bring down Su Yan, who was now as strong as a rock.

Su Yan couldn't help but laugh whenever she thought of Yin Xiaorui's tone of voice.

She said, "A perfect girl like me must be very clean."

Duan Sisi was stunned for a moment, as if she hadn't reacted yet, until Su Yan compared her body to the figure, and then she suddenly realized what was going on.

Why...why did she suddenly tell you this?

Duan Sisi became somewhat flustered.

“Because she feels she’s not clean enough for He Yao.” Su Yan’s expression became complicated. “But how could she know me…”

Duan Sisi panicked completely and immediately pressed her hand to Su Yan's lips.

"Don't mention that again!" she yelled, her face terrifyingly fierce.

"I just don't understand, what did you do wrong that made you torture yourself for so long!"

Su Yan smiled, took Duan Sisi's hand, and placed it in her own palm.

"Chenchen is missing, and Xiaoyu looks like that. Haven't I made a huge mistake?"

Duan Sisi stared blankly at the glistening tears in her eyes, then suddenly stood up.

"I knew it was a mistake to let you take this job! If I had known, I should have stopped you at all costs, and things wouldn't have turned out like this today."

She grabbed Su Yan and dragged her out of the hospital.

"Let's go! We're not doing this job anymore! Who cares about dying? People are dying every moment of every day. Are you Superman? Are you responsible for saving the world?!"

"Sisi, I've already agreed, so there's no reason for me to back out halfway through."

As the two were pulling and tugging at each other, Wenrou ran downstairs.

When Duan Sisi saw her coming, she stopped what she was doing, but her face didn't look pleasant.

Wenrou sensed the strange atmosphere between the two and apologized with deep remorse: "Sister Su Yan, Sister Si Si, I'm so sorry. Xiao Rui is just like that, she always says things she doesn't mean. I'm really sorry about what happened today, Sister Su Yan!"

Wenrou felt so guilty that she almost bowed to Su Yan.

Su Yan waved her hand, "It's okay, it's not her fault, it's my own problem. But..."

She changed the subject, her expression becoming complicated, hesitant as to whether or not she should speak.

Wenrou noticed this and immediately said, "It's alright, Sister Su Yan. We're so grateful for your help. It's nothing!"

Hearing her say this, Su Yan spoke heavily: "Xiao Rui's situation is far more serious than I imagined. He Yao's mental manipulation of her can no longer be resolved simply by telling her about He Yao's crimes."

She nodded gently in agreement. "That's true. When she first recovered, I angrily scolded He Yao, but I didn't expect that to completely provoke Xiao Rui's emotions. She smashed everything and acted like she didn't even want to see me again. It was only after the doctor gave her an injection to calm her down."

She gave a wry smile. "From then on, I never dared to say a bad word about He Yao in front of her again."

Su Yan: "So, what she needs now is a psychologist. She needs to move on from this relationship, face herself, and understand that she is not impure."

Wenrou paused for a moment, then nodded vigorously.

"I understand, Sister Su Yan, thank you."

As Su Yan and Duan Sisi walked out of the hospital, Duan Sisi kept secretly observing Su Yan.

Su Yan glanced over and caught him red-handed.

"Why are you looking at me? Am I that good-looking?"

Duan Sisi lost interest in teasing her. "Since you can persuade Yin Xiaorui to see a psychologist and face her psychological problems, why can't you?"

Su Yan's smile froze, and she quickly looked away, feigning indifference.

"You're overthinking it. What psychological problems do I have?"

She quickened her pace unconsciously.

Duan Sisi sighed helplessly. She had been trying to persuade him like this for five years, but it was no use, and she no longer cared.

"Where are you going! Wait for me!"

He Yao received Su Yan's call shortly after Su Yan left the hospital.

He was overjoyed when he saw Su Yan's familiar number, and almost jumped out of his chair.

"Hey, Yan Yan, you finally called me? Are you not angry with me anymore?"

"Meet at a coffee shop? Okay, I'll be right there, wait for me!"

He Yao hung up the phone, his mouth practically stretched to his ears in a wide grin.

Without thinking, he packed his things and headed out.

This action startled those around him, who watched in surprise as he walked away, shouting, "He Yao, where are you going! You haven't filmed yet!"

"I'm done filming, I have to go!"

He Yao waved without turning his head.

"Then you can't get your money back!" the man reminded him urgently.

This did not slow He Yao's hurried steps.

"What happened to him? Did his house catch fire? Did he pay but then decide not to film?"

"Who cares! If he doesn't film, we'll have more time."

Before getting into the taxi, He Yao pondered the man's words repeatedly, still feeling it wasn't worth it. He turned around, took a picture of the building with his phone, and then got into the taxi with satisfaction.

He rushed to the coffee shop excitedly, and as soon as he saw Su Yan, he couldn't bear the longing he had felt for her these past few days and rushed up to hug her.

However, Su Yan felt even more averse to him because of Yin Xiaorui, whom she had just met.

A girl committed suicide for her own sake. Any man with a conscience wouldn't be so indifferent and show no concern whatsoever.

He Yao saw her take a step back and dodge, and a hint of surprise flashed across his face.

"Are you still angry with me? Is it really that bad? I only acted that way because I love you!"

Su Yan ignored his heartfelt "confession" and turned to Duan Sisi at the front desk to order two cups of coffee.

The service was quick this time, as if it had been prepared in advance.

The coffee was served shortly afterward.

He Yao put down his phone. "You haven't forgiven me, so why did you ask me to meet you? To break up?"

Su Yan didn't speak, her gaze lingering on the coffee in front of her.

He Yao was inexplicably annoyed when he saw that she didn't speak.

"Su Yan, you think you can just give up on such a deep and meaningful relationship like this? You're really heartless!"

Su Yan remained silent. She lifted her leg, causing the table to shake violently. The coffee on the table also became unstable and spilled all over the table.

He Yao didn't have time to dodge and got splashed all over as well.

Su Yan looked at He Yao, who quickly got up, without showing the slightest ripple on her face.

"Go to the restroom and take care of this. I have something important to tell you in a bit."
