Yi An tried her best to suppress the enraged Zhao Bo, "Tell me, why are you arguing with a child! Children speak without thinking, children speak without thinking!"
He kept emphasizing this word, but Zhao Bo was not comforted in the slightest.
Zhao Bo looked at Su Xiaoyu, who was sitting in Yi An's office chair like a big shot, leisurely swinging her legs, and asked Yi An through gritted teeth.
"Are you sure she's a child? I'm seriously starting to suspect she's an old witch disguised as a young one!"
Yi An pulled Zhao Bo back with all her might, doing her best to stop him from getting agitated.
"A little imp or something..."
Before Yi An could finish speaking, Zhao Bo's phone suddenly rang.
Zhao Bo looked down and all his anger vanished instantly, replaced by a smile.
Yi'an felt as if she had seen a volcano about to erupt, covered with a layer of spring snow. The fire died down, and the snow melted into a trickling stream.
"Who called that? Why are you laughing like that?"
He turned his head to look, but before he could see clearly, Zhao Bo arrogantly took out his phone, rushed in front of Su Xiaoyu, and waved the phone around proudly.
"It's my girlfriend calling, aren't you angry?!"
He deliberately answered the phone in front of Su Xiaoyu, and said to the person on the other end in a sickeningly sweet voice, "Linlin! I've been missing you so much I'm going crazy, and you've finally decided to call me."
"What? You came to see me? You're downstairs at the company! I'm coming right now, wait for me, mwah~"
He glanced at Su Xiaoyu intentionally and straightened his clothes.
"Ugh! My girlfriend's here again, what a hassle!"
After Zhao Bo finished speaking, he walked away, striking a pose, to Yi An's incredulous, ghost-like gaze.
Even after his figure disappeared from Yi An's sight, Yi An still couldn't quite accept it.
He turned to Su Xiaoyu to confirm, "What exactly did you do to provoke him?"
Su Xiaoyu didn't answer. She jumped off her office chair, rushed to the window, and clung to the railing to look down.
Despite the burglar bars on the windows, Yi An's heart still pounded when she saw this scene.
He rushed over and carefully protected her with his hands.
What are you looking at?
Su Xiaoyu remained silent, her eyes fixed on the woman waiting downstairs.
Less than five minutes later, a man appeared next to the woman who was waiting.
Yi An recognized Zhao Bo immediately upon seeing his figure.
Just as he was about to say something, he heard Su Xiaoyu exclaim, "So even someone like Uncle can find a girlfriend."
The tone of her voice was a mix of amazement and disbelief.
Yi An turned to look at her, "Now I finally know why Zhao Bo wanted to hit you so much."
At the hospital, Su Yan followed the address Jason had sent her, asking for directions along the way, until she found the doctor's office.
She knocked on the door, then quietly pushed it open and went inside.
The doctor, sitting at the table, looked up at her and asked, "What's wrong with your health? Are you pregnant?"
Su Yan was taken aback, and immediately explained, "No, I came to ask if someone came to get a birth certificate for the child on April 8th four years ago?"
The doctor frowned, his eyes filled with wariness.
"What do you do for a living? Why are you asking this?"
Su Yan used the explanation she had prepared in advance to explain: "Well, I'm the child's aunt. We're dealing with some issues related to the child's school enrollment, which involves the birth certificate, so I wanted to come and ask about it."
The doctor was skeptical. "There was more than one baby born that day. How would I know which one you're talking about?"
Su Yan: "It's the one with a birthmark on its back."
The doctor immediately said, "Give me your name, and I'll check it for you."
Su Yan was stumped again, "I changed my name, I don't remember the old one."
"You remember that surname, Mr. Zong?"
“My older sister left home many years ago and only recently came back. We haven’t been in touch for a long time. I only found out that she got married and had a child. As for what the child’s father’s surname is, I really don’t know.”
Seeing her sincerity, the doctor turned away without a word to check the information.
"Yes, there is one with a birthmark."
Upon hearing this, Su Yan's body began to tremble uncontrollably.
What's his name?
The doctor glanced at her, didn't answer immediately, but hesitated for a moment before saying, "Your sister should handle this herself. Patient information in the hospital can't be given to people whose identities can't be verified."
Su Yan was taken aback, then smiled casually and said, "Of course. I'll go back and get my sister to come and take care of it. Thank you, doctor."
She smiled and thanked him, then turned and walked out of the doctor's office.
Even though she didn't know the child's name or who the parents were, Su Yan was so excited that she wanted to cry as soon as she confirmed that it was Chenchen.
She found a secluded spot and sat there for a long time, managing to suppress her overwhelming excitement.
Su Yan took a breath and started calling Jason.
"Jason, I've asked around, it should be Chenchen."
"That's great, congratulations Joan, you've finally found him."
Even when offering congratulatory words, Jason spoke in a mechanical, official tone, like a robot.
Su Yan changed the subject, "But now there's a problem: I can't find out the child's name or who the registered parents are. Could you ask someone to check for me?"
Jason paused for a moment, then agreed, "Okay, but it will take some time."
Su Yan immediately replied, "It's okay. I've waited four years, what's a little more time?"
"Then wait for my news."
Su Yan finally breathed a long sigh of relief after hanging up the phone.
She was finally going to find her son, Xiaoyu.
She couldn't suppress the upward curve of her lips, but tears were welling up in her eyes.
Su Yan wiped it away casually, straightened her posture, and walked towards the hospital parking lot.
Chengdu Research Institute of Technology.
Zhao Bo, carrying his homemade dinner, skipped and hopped through the office door and walked in.
He deliberately walked up to Su Xiaoyu and shook his lunchbox.
"Look, this is the loving dinner my dear girlfriend prepared for me. Aren't you envious?"
Su Xiaoyu didn't even look up, concentrating intently on her drawing.
Even Yi An couldn't stand Zhao Bo's smug and self-satisfied demeanor.
He patted Zhao Bo's arm. "Alright, stop showing off. Look at your petty self!"
Zhao Bo became even angrier upon hearing his disdainful words.
He mouthed to Yi An, "No! I want to clear my name and get justice for myself!"
Looking at his childish appearance, Yi An shook her head helplessly and only said, "Don't go too far, or you'll scare the child!"
Zhao Bo nodded knowingly and then moved closer to Su Xiaoyu.
"What's wrong with Su Xiaoyu? Why are you mute?" he deliberately provoked.
Su Xiaoyu ignored him and focused intently on her painting.
Zhao Bo lost interest and tilted his head to watch her draw, but could only see a black patch on the paper.
"What is this thing?!" he exclaimed instinctively. "Su Xiaoyu, are you colorblind?"
