The scene erupted in uproar.

There was a lot of chatter around.

Su Yan didn't retort. She turned around, took Su Xiaoyu from Yi An's arms, and walked towards the door.

Su Yan watched Wu Fen's figure disappear at the top of the stairs before casually turning her head back.
She didn't say a word, kept her head down, and slowly unbuttoned her sleeves.
Lin Hui watched her movements warily and said sarcastically, "Su Yan, what else do you have to say? If it were me, I wouldn't even have the face to stay here after your clumsy lies were exposed in public."
Su Yan rolled up her sleeves and walked forward with a light laugh.
"What's the plan?"
Lin Hui's eyes flickered for a moment, then returned to normal.

Lin Hui covered her face in disbelief. The sharp pain on her cheek made her realize what she had just experienced.
"How dare you hit me!"
She roared and charged at Su Yan with bared teeth and claws.
As Su Yan watched her sharp manicure about to touch her face, she calmly dodged to the side, while deliberately tripping Lin Hui's foot with her leg.
Lin Hui rushed too fast, and when she was tripped like that, she couldn't stop because of inertia.
Her eyes widened suddenly as she fell toward the ground.
"ah--"
Lin Hui cried out in pain and fell to the ground, her palms and knees already red from the impact.
Her eyes, as she turned to look at Su Yan, were filled with hatred.
"Su Yan, this is too much of a bully!"
Su Yan looked down at her, her eyes filled with contempt.
"You can't stand that I'll treat you the same way you treat my daughter? When you deliberately tripped her, did you ever think that she was just a four-year-old child?"
Lin Hui immediately retorted loudly, "She deserves it! Just like you, a shameless woman. She doesn't even know her own worth, yet she comes here to seduce other people's husbands and fathers. Just a carpenter's daughter, does she really think she's so high and mighty?!"
Su Yan clenched her back teeth, making a "clacking" sound, and walked towards Lin Hui again.
Seeing her movements, Lin Hui immediately shrank back in fright.
Before Su Yan could even get close to her, Yi An grabbed her arm.
"Su Yan, stop fooling around."
As Yi An spoke, she gave her a wink.
Su Yan turned to look at her with a cold smile, "I'm making a scene? The one who was tripped and insulted wasn't your daughter, was she?"
Yi An held her hand tightly and whispered a reminder: "That's not what I meant. If you keep making a scene like this, you won't be able to explain yourself no matter what."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Madam Lin suddenly rushed up and slapped Su Yan across the face.
