Without a shred of doubt, Yi An readily agreed, "Okay, you go pick Xiao Bao up from kindergarten. I'll call the kindergarten."
"Okay, thank you, Brother An."
After thanking her sweetly, Lin Hui hung up the phone. The smile on her face gradually disappeared as she looked out the car window at the backs of the two people, her eyes filled with malice.
Yi An hung up the phone and turned to Su Yan, saying, "I've already asked Zhao Bo to pick up the photo album you requested. It will be delivered in a bit. I'll go call the kindergarten first. You can go inside and wait for me."
After agreeing, Su Yan went into the police station. She waited for Zhao Bo to bring the photo album she wanted before meeting Feng Lin.
Feng Lin was led into the visiting room. When she saw Su Yan, her face was expressionless, only cold.
Her time at the police station had left her disheartened and resigned to her fate; after all, she was simply outmatched.
Feng Lin sat down opposite Su Yan and asked first, "What are you doing here? Do you want to see me make a fool of myself?"
Su Yan crossed her arms and tilted her head to look at her: "I'm not as boring as you think."
Feng Lin sneered, "Then what are you doing here?"
Su Yan didn't rush to answer. Instead, like a cat toying with a mouse it had caught, she said cryptically, "What do you think?"
That simple sentence was enough to make Feng Lin tear off her disguise.
"Su Yan, what benefits do you think you'll gain from doing this?"
Su Yan interrupted her excited words and calmly stated the facts: "I have already seen Bao Han, and all your schemes have failed."
Feng Lin didn't notice that she had changed her form of address and sneered repeatedly, "So what if we meet? He must hate you, right? You personally sent his sister to prison, so he can't possibly give you a kind look."
She suddenly thought of something, and her smile became meaningful.
"Wait, let me think. Why did you come here so suddenly? Is it because Hanhan has upset you again? Let me tell you, as long as I'm not okay, Hanhan will hold a grudge against you, and you'll never get better."
Su Yan smiled with her head down, "I've finally seen through you. You don't have any really big tricks up your sleeve. All you've ever done is manipulate Bao Han. Haven't you ever thought about what would happen if Bao Han became useless to me one day?"
Feng Lin immediately retorted, "How could it be useless? What mother in this world would abandon her own child?"
Su Yan: "Not necessarily. If all parents in the world were good parents, there wouldn't be so many abandoned children."
Feng Lin: "Su Yan, you don't need to pretend to be calm with me. I've seen right through your little schemes. Let me tell you, I'm in control now. If you want Hanhan to be happy, stop playing tricks on me."
Su Yan listened to her threatening words but said nothing, only smiled.
She took out the photo album from the side and started flipping through it in front of Feng Lin.
Feng Lin touched the photo album, and her pupils contracted.
"Isn't this our family photo album?"
Su Yan answered without looking up, "Yes, it's your family photo album. Your mom must be a good mom, taking so many photos of you since you were little, that's wonderful."
Feng Lin could detect a hint of envy in her words.
Feng Lin asked warily, "What are you doing with our family photo album?"
Su Yan seemed not to hear what she said, flipping through the pages with great interest, until she came across a photo of a family going to the beach.
She curled the corners of her lips into a smile, turned the photo album towards Feng Lin, pointed to a picture of a child who was shirtless, with his back to the camera, and was having a great time playing in the water, and asked, "Is this Bao Han?"
Feng Lin looked down and her pupils dilated when she saw the photo.
She finally understood why Su Yan had brought the photo album.
"No, this isn't Hanhan!" she immediately denied.
Su Yan looked at her and laughed, "How could it not be? Look, in this front-facing photo, she's wearing the same pants as him."
Su Yan then pointed to another one.
Seeing Feng Lin's growing fear, she tilted her head and guessed, "This was probably when he was three or four years old, right?"
After she finished speaking, she muttered to herself, "So lovely, so adorable, how could anyone bear to do anything with such a cute child?"
Feng Lin froze completely. In her eyes, Su Yan had become a devil, and she didn't dare to look directly at her.
"When did you find out?" she asked in a trembling voice.
Su Yan didn't answer her question, but instead said very considerately, "Feng Lin, everyone makes mistakes, big or small, when they're in school. It's just that some people's mistakes are temporary, while others' mistakes will stay with them for a lifetime."
Hearing her suggestive words, Feng Lin panicked, slammed her hand on the table, and glared at Su Yan, demanding, "What else do you know?!"
A nearby police officer stepped forward to stop her, saying, "Calm down! Sit down!"
Su Yan watched indifferently as Feng Lin was forced into her seat, like an outsider. Only after Feng Lin calmed down did she slowly speak: "The truth will always come out. There are no secrets that last forever in this world."
Feng Lin was driven to the brink of collapse. "What exactly do you want? Can't you just leave me alone?"
Su Yan smiled faintly and said, "What if I told you that I not only don't want to let you go, but I also don't want to let some other people go?"
Feng Lin's eyes widened in shock as she stared blankly at Su Yan, as if she had realized something.
Su Yan coldly reminded her, "When you did this, you should have thought about whether it would involve your family."
"Don't touch them! If you have any problems, come at me! I've already done this much, what more do you want from me!" Feng Lin stood up again and roared at her.
Su Yan raised her hand to soothe him: "Don't get agitated. I didn't say I had to do it. I just wanted to know some things I wanted to know."
Hearing this, Feng Lin seemed to see a glimmer of hope. She quickly sat down and asked urgently, "What do you want to know? I'll tell you everything, as long as..."
She turned her head and quickly glanced at the police officer next to her, lowering her voice.
"As long as you can let my family live peacefully outside, I'll tell you anything you want to know."
Su Yan was very satisfied with this statement. Without wasting any more words, she went straight to the point: "Who taught you back then?"
Feng Lin was stunned, suddenly speechless.
Seeing that she seemed hesitant, Su Yan asked again, "Do you still have a choice?"
"What if I said it was myself?" Feng Lin asked tentatively.
Su Yan sneered, "Do you really think I'm stupid?"
She pointed to a photo in the album, "When I was 3 or 4 years old, I didn't have a birthmark. But when I was 5, it suddenly appeared. Tell me, is this a miracle?"
