Chapter 52 Power Outage

As the next person floated in, the staff member turned to Lin Hui and politely said, "Madam, please bring this one."

Unexpectedly, as soon as he said that, he was met with a barrage of curses from Lin Hui.

"Go? What are you talking about!"

To the astonishment of the staff, she snorted angrily and turned away.

Su Yan watched as Lin Hui, whose face had turned as black as the bottom of a pot, angrily left, and a cryptic smile appeared on her lips.

"Mr. Yi."

She called out slowly, but received no response for a long time.

Su Yan turned her head curiously, only to be met with Yi An's pale, paper-like face.

"President Yi? President Yi!"

She called him several times, but Yi An didn't respond at all, so she simply called him by his full name.

"Yi'an?"

But even that didn't elicit any response.

Yi An sat there like a puppet doll that had lost its soul, trembling and motionless, her eyes staring blankly.

Su Yan realized something was wrong, leaned forward, and tentatively touched his arm.

"Yi'an, what's wrong?"

But something about this seemed to have triggered Yi An, and he suddenly shrank back, looking at Su Yan with a face full of terror as if she were some kind of monster.

Looking into his empty eyes, filled with fear and panic, Su Yan frowned and hesitated before asking, "You're not... afraid of heights, are you?"

Although Yi An did not speak, his trembling lips revealed the answer.

Su Yan sighed with a complicated expression. She wanted to say something, but seeing his pitiful appearance, she couldn't bear to speak and could only remain silent.

She reached out, grabbed his arm, and softened her voice.

"Let's relax, take a deep breath, and come on."

Her gentle voice, coupled with her patient and persuasive words, guided Yi'an to relax little by little.

“We tried to lower our center of gravity.”

Su Yan began to comfort him, "Have you heard about Ferris wheel accidents? No, the possibility of a Ferris wheel accident is extremely low. As long as the power doesn't stop, we can get off right away."

Her words seemed to have some effect; Yi An's expression softened, and she was finally able to move her head.

He looked up at her hesitantly, "Will we be able to go down soon?"

Su Yan emphasized repeatedly, "As long as the power doesn't go out, we'll go down right away. How could the amusement park suddenly lose power!"

As she was making self-deprecating remarks, suddenly there was a loud bang in her ear, and everything went dark in an instant; all the light disappeared.

Su Yan looked around blankly. "The power's out?"

"ah!!!"

Yi An let out a scream and grabbed Su Yan like a rag, pulling her close.

Lin Hui stood below, looking blankly at the dim surroundings. "The power's out? How could the power be out!"

She turned her head anxiously toward the Ferris wheel, her panicked eyes searching frantically for Yi An's location.

Suddenly, her gaze froze, fixed on a pair of people embracing in the blurry darkness.

"Impossible, this is impossible..."

Duan Sisi stared at the Ferris wheel that had suddenly stopped in mid-air, not daring to move an inch. She subconsciously swallowed.

Duan Sisi, you can't panic. You have two little devils with you. If you panic, won't they be even more scared? You need to stay calm and collected.

She kept encouraging herself in her mind, hypnotizing herself not to be afraid, and to be a good role model for her two children.

But the reality was clearly the opposite of what she had expected.

The two children showed no fear whatsoever; in fact, they seemed slightly excited.

Duan Sisi rubbed her eyes vigorously; was she excited?
