"I'm not wronged."
Lin Hui found Su Yan's nonchalant words amusing; all her nonchalance was just a facade in her eyes.
"You're quite pragmatic," she said, changing the subject. "But there's no use in complaining. Who would believe that design was created by someone as unknown as you? Do you think you're Joan? That you can just barge into the world like that?"
"Let me tell you, even Qiong is barely able to take care of herself and has run out of ideas. Now, the leader in the design world is me, Lin Hui."
Her smug look made Su Yan lower her head and chuckle softly.
"It turns out that the top designers in the industry got their positions through deception and fraud."
Upon hearing this, Lin Hui's face changed instantly.
"Stop arguing with me here. If you're so capable, go outside and say I plagiarized your work. Let's see who believes you and doesn't think you're crazy!"
Her words were full of sarcasm.
She crossed her arms and leaned back arrogantly in her office chair.
“This is not a place for you. I advise you to go back to where you came from.”
Su Yan nodded knowingly, looking as if she had learned something.
"I understand what Mr. Lin means. Is there anything else?"
Seeing that she wouldn't budge despite her threats, Lin Hui scoffed, "You want to keep dragging this out? Then let's see who can outlast whom!"
"Then let's give it a try."
Su Yan left the office after saying that.
As soon as the door closed, she slowly raised her hand. The phone screen went cold, displaying the recording interface.
A smile curved her lips. "You're capable of stealing, but are you capable of keeping it?"
Starlight Kindergarten.
Yi Kangle, carrying his lunch, looked around before finally fixing his gaze on Su Xiaoyu in the corner.
A smile played on his lips as he happily prepared to head over to her.
But before he could take two steps, he was suddenly tripped by something unknown, and Yi Kangle instantly lost his balance and fell forward.
"Splash—"
Yi Kangle fell to the ground, plate and all, looking utterly disheveled.
All the children in the classroom turned to look at him, and when they saw his face covered in graffiti, they couldn't help but burst into laughter.
Amidst the surrounding laughter, Yi Kangle's face flushed red. He nervously clutched the hem of his clothes, his head bowed as if he had committed a grave mistake, and sat there.
Tears welled up in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall easily.
The person who started all of this, seeing his disheveled appearance, laughed triumphantly.
"Look at this idiot, he tripped and fell while walking. Do you think he's crazy?!"
Children's emotions are easily stirred up, and when he said that, a group of children laughed and shouted at Yi Kangle, "Idiot!"
Yi Kangle cowered on the ground, biting her lip, not daring to utter a single word.
The mocking laughter around him did not stop because of his weakness; on the contrary, it intensified.
"Crying, crying, crying, like a little girl, all you do is cry! No wonder your father doesn't want you! What are you doing in our kindergarten, born of a mother but raised by no father?!"
This is not something a child should say; it's clearly something an adult would say and now they're just repeating it.
"Get out of the kindergarten!"
Someone shouted, and the others echoed in response.
Soon, the classroom was filled with shouts in unison.
The little boy who was leading the group was very smug. He jumped off his seat, pointed at Yi Kangle's head, and was about to shout.
Before he could even shout, his fingers were grabbed.
The little boy looked up in surprise, only to meet a pair of eyes as still as stagnant water.
"Su Xiao... Ah!!"
Before she could even utter the word "rain," Su Xiaoyu gently twisted her wrist upwards, drowning out the rest of her words in a scream.
Su Xiaoyu watched indifferently as he screamed in agony, showing no intention of letting go, but instead continued to pry him up.
Yi Kangle stared blankly at her expressionless face, forgetting even his sadness, his eyes filled with nothing but her.
If the teacher hadn't heard the cries and rushed over in time, Su Xiaoyu might have actually broken the little boy's fingers.
"Su Xiaoyu, let go! I said let go, did you hear me?!"
No matter what the teacher said, Su Xiaoyu just wouldn't budge.
The teacher noticed that the little boy's fingers had turned white and panicked, instinctively slapping Su Xiaoyu's bottom.
"open!"
She was furious and didn't know her own strength. The dull thud of her hand hitting flesh startled even herself.
Su Xiaoyu finally stopped. She turned around and stared at the teacher intently without saying a word.
The teacher was also a little stunned, and a sense of guilt welled up after the mistake.
But to uphold her dignity as a teacher, she remained firm and reprimanded her sternly: "Su Xiaoyu, you've gone too far! How can you bully a child like this! I told you to let go, didn't you hear me!"
Su Xiaoyu disdainfully tossed the little boy to the ground, threw down the words "This is boring," and turned to walk out of the classroom.
The little boy, who had been rescued, burst into tears from fright.
The teacher hurriedly went to check his fingers, and only breathed a sigh of relief when she found they were intact.
Yi Kangle stood there blankly watching everything. He watched Su Xiaoyu's figure disappear into the classroom, but no one paid any attention. Everyone's attention was on the crying little boy.
A few doubts arose in his mind. Didn't his mother say that crying children are the most annoying? Why doesn't everyone hate him, but instead blames Su Xiaoyu?
The teacher had just breathed a sigh of relief when she glanced casually at Yi Kangle and, seeing him covered in vegetable stains, instinctively said, "Did Su Xiaoyu bully you too?"
Yi Kangle didn't like that statement.
Su Xiaoyu protected him, so why wasn't she praised and instead got beaten?
His little face was pouting, and his little mouth could hold an oil bottle.
"Su Xiaoyu didn't bully me; Su Xiaoyu was protecting me. The teacher even hit Su Xiaoyu; I don't like the teacher anymore."
After saying these words, he ran away with tears in his eyes.
The teacher was completely bewildered. What did that mean? She couldn't understand it at all.
But with her crying child beside her, she had no time to think and quickly took the little boy to the infirmary.
Yi Kangle staggered out, searching everywhere for Su Xiaoyu, and finally spotted her in the garden.
She was sitting in a chair, staring straight out the window.
Yi Kangle slowed his pace and cautiously approached her, vaguely hearing her mutter, "I really want to shave all his hair off."
He was a little puzzled, but he still quietly sat down next to her.
"Thank you, Su Xiaoyu," he said softly, then lowered his head.
Su Xiaoyu didn't even turn her head; her gaze remained fixed on the window.
"It's okay. Because you're mine."
