Chapter Eleven: Masters Clash

Yi An looked somewhat surprised. "So Zhao Bo was talking about you."

Su Yan covered her mouth and laughed, "Isn't this a coincidence? Now I finally believe what President Yi meant by fate."

She opened the door and stepped aside to let Yi'an pass.

"I don't know why the electricity in this house suddenly went out. Could you please take a look, Mr. Yi?"

Yi An walked to the light switch and pressed it twice, but the lights in the house didn't respond.

"It's probably a problem with the circuit. I'll go out and check the electrical box."

Su Yan watched his departing figure and chased after him without hesitation, following him half a step behind.

"Mr. Yi, let me go with you."

Her voice sounded timid, and after hesitating for a moment, she whispered softly, "I'm a little scared."

Upon hearing this, Yi An couldn't help but smile, his eyes filled with smugness, but he insisted on maintaining a serious demeanor.

"If you're really scared, just grab me."

Su Yan's eyes lit up, and she looked at him expectantly, then cautiously asked again, "Is it okay?"

Yi An turned back and looked at her expectant eyes, which seemed to speak volumes, and inexplicably felt as if she had seen them somewhere before.

He cleared his throat. "Of course."

Su Yan tentatively raised her hand and carefully tugged at the corner of his clothes.

"Mr. Yi, you're such a kind person."

She spoke softly, shyly and timidly.

One sentence made Yi'an pause in her steps, but she quickly resumed her normal pace.

Su Yan followed closely behind him, walked to the electrical box, and watched him skillfully open it.

Yi An glanced at it twice and said with a complicated expression, "The fuse blew."

Su Yan looked panicked. "What should we do? Should we call an electrician?"

The plan had been meticulously laid out. How could Yi'an possibly allow an electrician to ruin it?

"No need, I remember I have a spare at home, I'll just use that."

He spoke with such ease that Su Yan gasped in surprise.

Wow, Mr. Yi, you're amazing!

Even with her thick skin, Yi An couldn't withstand such an admiring gaze, and instinctively looked away guiltily.

"I'll go get it, you wait here for me."

Su Yan didn't immediately let go of his clothes. She looked a little scared and hesitated before saying, "Then hurry up."

After Yi'an agreed, she hesitated before letting go of his hand and waited anxiously in place.

Yi An jogged home, and as soon as his figure disappeared from the front door, the fear on Su Yan's face vanished instantly.

She glanced expressionlessly at the electrical box behind her; the signs of vandalism were too obvious.

She was playing these tired old tricks in front of her.

Yi An returned with the fuse she had prepared beforehand, and Su Yan immediately changed back to her original fearful expression, just like a Peking Opera face-changing act.

Upon seeing Yi An arrive, she immediately rushed to greet him in a flustered manner, tightly clutching the hem of his clothes.

It seems that only in this way can one feel at peace.

Yi An watched her little actions, a smug look flashing in her eyes.

He deliberately slowed his pace, and it seemed to work.

"Everything will be fine once the fuse is replaced."

He offered gentle words of comfort, displaying the charm of a warm and caring man.

Women are always attracted to men who work hard, let alone men who help them solve all their problems.

Yi'an wanted to showcase her unique charm.

He began his work with exceptional diligence, his serious demeanor no less than that of a real electrician.

Working with circuits is no ordinary task. Remembering Zhao Bo's advice, Yi An subconsciously became even more cautious.

Just as he was concentrating on his work, he suddenly felt a puff of hot air on his face.

He paused for a moment, then subconsciously turned around, only to see Su Yan's face suddenly looming closer.

Su Yan didn't look at him, but instead looked inquisitively into the electrical box, asking with particular seriousness, "Is it very troublesome? Should we find a helper?"

The two were so close that Yi'an could smell the fragrance of shampoo in her hair.

Unlike the man-slaying fragrance in the elevator that day, this scent was not aggressive at all; it was faint, subtly invading one's senses.

Yi An felt a strange tingling sensation in her heart, and her whole body froze in place as if she had been electrocuted, unable to move.

His mouth was half-open, but he couldn't say a word.

Su Yan didn't hear a reply for a long time, so she pretended to turn around out of curiosity.

"Mr. Yi?"

Her eyes seemed to glow in the darkness, shining with a unique light that illuminated Yi'an's heart.

The hot breath he exhaled hit Yi An's face, and he trembled, finally regaining his senses.

He subconsciously shrank back, distancing himself from Su Yan, and lowered his head, trying his best not to let her see his burning cheeks.

"It's nothing, it'll be fine in a bit."

Su Yan's eyes curved into crescent moons as she smiled and agreed, "Okay."

Yi An swallowed hard, trying to calm herself down and get back to changing the fuse.

The fuse was replaced in no time.

Yi An breathed a sigh of relief. This was the first time he had done something like this, and he had almost messed it up. Fortunately, both the result and the process were perfect.

"Could you get me the tools? I'm turning on the power."

"good."

Su Yan responded while reaching for it.

Whether she didn't see it or it was an accident, Su Yan grabbed something casually but missed the tools, while Yi An's hand always managed to grab it accurately.

The moment their hands touched, a jolt of electricity shot from Yi An's arm straight to his brain.
