Chapter Ninety: His head was kicked by a donkey

Su Yan glanced at the two of them again before turning and leaving.

She had just stepped out the door, and before she had even left, she heard the two people inside whispering to each other.

"Have you forgotten whose side she is on! You dare to refuse her like that? Aren't you afraid of angering Chairman Yi and getting into big trouble!"

"But... Mr. He clearly booked that conference room in advance, and said the meeting would be at 10 o'clock..."

"So, do you think President He is more difficult to deal with, or President Yi?"

Su Yan didn't want to hear any more of what was said, so she turned and went upstairs.

But before she could take two steps, she bumped into someone else.

He Ziming seemed to be deliberately blocking her way. He stood guard at the elevator door, and as soon as he saw her, he strode over and, without saying a word, grabbed her wrist and dragged her toward the tea room.

Su Yan did not resist and let him lead her to the tea room.

She deftly shook off He Ziming's hand and rubbed her slightly reddened wrist.

"What is Mr. He up to now?"

Hearing her unfriendly tone, He Ziming sighed deeply, his face full of helplessness.

He tried to lower his voice: "Yan Yan, when are you going to stop making a scene!"

Su Yan turned her head to the side, "I don't understand."

These words, these actions, these expressions—to He Ziming, it was clear that she was sulking.

He Zimo calmed down and took Su Yan's hand again.

Su Yan immediately dodged, leaving He Zimo with no choice but to grab her wrist.

"Yan Yan, don't you understand my heart? I understand your thoughts. I promise you, I will give you the status and exclusivity you want. Just wait for me a little longer, okay? Don't push me so hard."

Su Yan felt her head spinning when he started rambling on about this again.

How could he be so delusional? Did he get kicked in the head by a donkey after the divorce?

How else could she express herself in a way that made him understand she had absolutely no feelings for him?

Even if you stripped her naked and offered herself to her, she wouldn't even flirt with it.

He Ziming was unaware of her thoughts and kept pouring out his longing and pain.

"Yan Yan, I know you're angry, but you can't treat yourself like this. Why is Yi An being so attentive to you? Do you think he's after you? No! He's after me!"

Upon hearing this, Su Yan felt that He Ziming's brain had been kicked by a donkey, and she no longer thought it was that simple.

He seems to be sick, a narcissistic maniac, and he's a double-crosser, not letting either of them go.

He Ziming: "He's just jealous of me and holds a grudge against me because of some things, so he's deliberately trying to please you and make me feel bad. Yan Yan, I don't want you to be used by others, and I don't want you to get hurt, do you understand?"

His words were full of helplessness, like an old mother who couldn't persuade her silly daughter.

"He Ziming, I am an adult..."

Just as Su Yan was about to complain, she heard a round of applause.

The two looked over at the same time, and the person who appeared in their line of sight was none other than Yi An, the protagonist He Zimo had mentioned.

Yi An leaned against the door, her eyes looking at He Zimo with a playful expression, which added a touch of flirtatious charm.

"Mr. He, what you said is so true, I almost cried when I heard it."

He feigned emotion, wiping his eyes, and turned to Su Yan, saying, "Xiao Su, why don't you hurry up and refuse? Don't let President He's illness get any worse. This delusional disorder is really something else!"

Su Yan almost burst out laughing when she heard his words.

He Ziming's expression changed successfully. "What do you mean by that?"

"What do you mean? Mr. He can't understand it anymore. It seems we really should call 120."

Yi An spoke slowly, her gaze suddenly fixing on one spot, and her expression gradually turned cold.

Su Yan followed his gaze curiously and immediately saw He Ziming tightly gripping her hand.

Su Yan was startled and was about to break free when Yi An grabbed her hand.

She was completely stunned, staring at him in bewilderment.

Yi An didn't even look at her. Instead, she turned her head and smiled at He Zimo while fiercely grabbing He Zimo's wrist.

As he exerted force, he gritted his teeth and said, "If Mr. He doesn't know where to put these claws, then chop them off."

He Ziming's face contorted with pain; he wanted to retort with a sarcastic remark, but he couldn't open his mouth.

Yi An impatiently yanked his hand away and threw it aside with disgust, as if it were trash.

He Ziming staggered and barely managed to stand, but he looked extremely disheveled.

He rubbed his already red wrist and glared at Yi An.

"Don't go too far! This is none of your business!"

Yi An casually pushed Su Yan behind her out, saying, "Women should stay away from men's business, or you'll get scared."

Su Yan wasn't afraid of being genuinely scared; she was afraid that the two of them wouldn't actually fight.

If one of these two scourges dies sooner, it will benefit society.

But she had no interest in this childish contest, which resembled that of kindergarten children, and turned away decisively.

With only two grown men left in the tea room, Yi'an suddenly felt bored again.

He twisted his wrist and turned to chase after Su Yan, but He Ziming stopped him.

"Don't think I don't know what you're up to! You'd better stay away from Su Yan, she's my woman," He Ziming warned fiercely.

"Your woman?"

Yi An repeated it with a laugh, as if she had heard some incredible joke.

"I remember you two divorced five years ago, didn't you? I don't need to remind you of that."

He Zimo seemed to have been hit where it hurt, and jumped up and down.

"Yi'an, stop with the nonsense! You just feel that my mom stole your dad away, and you're upset for your mom, so you're trying to use these underhanded methods to steal my woman and get revenge on me!"

Yi An's smile vanished in an instant, her eyes turning as deep and cold as a still pool.

He turned his head and looked coldly at He Ziming, "Say it again."

He Ziming was somewhat intimidated by his gaze, but to maintain his composure, he stubbornly retorted, raising his head and saying, "I'll say it a hundred times, it's all true. Your mother couldn't control her man, and neither can you. You deserve to not have a father, and you deserve that your father only loves me..."

Before he could finish speaking, a heavy punch landed squarely on He Ziming's face.

Caught completely off guard, He Ziming collapsed to the ground in a sorry state, blood seeping from the corner of his mouth, leaving a strong smell of blood.

Yi'an, the one who started it all, looked down at him with contempt in her eyes.

"A mere illegitimate child dares to speak to me?"

He emphasized the words "illegitimate child" so heavily that he seemed to want to grind his teeth to pieces.

He gave He Ziming a cold glance, then turned and left.

He Ziming slammed his fist on the ground and let out an angry growl, scaring the staff into only watching from outside and not daring to come in easily.
