After saying this, Sun Yinyao suddenly seemed to have thought of something.
"You mean she's still testing me?!"
She couldn't control herself and screamed.
Yi An thought about it carefully and nodded. "Based on my interactions with her these past few days, this is the only possibility I can think of."
Sun Yinyao felt a chill run down her spine.
Just when she thought she could successfully deceive everyone, little did she know that the other party didn't believe a single word she said.
She rubbed her arm reassuringly, "So what should I do now?"
"You don't need to do anything, just wait, wait for her to contact you first."
Sun Yinyao waited for a whole week.
She had just joined the crew when she received Su Yan's call. Her assistant came over with the phone and said it was a call from someone named Su Yan.
Sun Yinyao was stunned when she heard the name "Su Yan," and then jumped up from her chair as if she had been electrocuted.
She answered the phone cautiously, "Hello?"
Su Yan simply called out, "Miss Sun."
Sun Yinyao pretended not to know who she was, "Who are you?"
"Miss Sun, I am Su Yan."
Sun Yinyao's carefully cultivated emotions exploded the moment those words were spoken.
Her voice instantly turned cold. "Why are you calling? What kind of relationship do we have anymore? Please stop harassing me!"
Just as Sun Yinyao was about to hang up, Su Yan's calm voice came again: "Miss Sun, I am very sorry for what happened before. It was my mishandling that caused these problems. Please give me a chance, a chance to apologize."
Sun Yinyao was in no hurry to agree. After some back and forth, she impatiently threw out her address.
After hanging up the phone, she sighed deeply and shook her head, lamenting, "This is the real modern-day palace intrigue!"
Given her intelligence, she really wouldn't survive long in Su Yan's hands.
The assistant came over curiously and asked, "What's wrong, Sister Yao?"
Sun Yinyao quickly waved her hand and casually said, "I'm going out for a bit to meet someone. If it's my turn, please tell the director and I'll be right back."
After saying that, she rushed out in a flurry.
On the way, I ran into some assistant from another company. He looked at her back with some annoyance and complained, "She's always acting crazy, like she's not on her medicine."
Sun Yinyao waited in the parking lot for a short while before Su Yan drove up.
Su Yan got out of the car and looked her over. "You've taken on another period drama recently? The look suits you very well."
Sun Yinyao was feeling quite pleased with herself when Su Yan praised her, but then she suddenly remembered that Su Yan might be testing her, and she immediately became extremely vigilant.
"Just tell me what it is, I'm very busy."
Su Yan: "Since you're busy with work, I'll get straight to the point. I'm here to discuss our collaboration."
Sun Yinyao sneered, "It's all over now. What else is there to discuss? Please leave."
Su Yan didn't move, but instead parted her lips slightly and uttered two soft words: "Free of charge."
"What did you say?" Sun Yinyao asked to confirm.
"To express my apology, I can help you for free."
Sun Yinyao's pupils shrank sharply. Just as her brother had said, she would never allow a single defeat to appear in her record.
"But things have already escalated to this point, what else can you do?"
Su Yan smiled meaningfully, "Miss Sun, have you ever heard of 'drawing the firewood from under the cauldron'?"
