Chapter Twenty-Nine: Parent-Child Competition

When Yi Kangle saw a smile on Su Xiaoyu's face for the first time, he was a little surprised. Then he exclaimed from the bottom of his heart, "Xiaoyu's dad is amazing!"

The veins on Yi An's body were throbbing faintly next to him.

How is that impressive?

He Yi'an expressed his dissatisfaction!

Yi An immediately turned to Yi Kangle and asked, "Do you also want to ride a big horse like this?"

Yi Kangle's eyes lit up, and he immediately radiated excitement.

"Xiao Bao also wants to ride a horse!"

Yi'an confidently hoisted him onto her shoulder, announcing, "Xiao Bao's horse is off!"

With Xiao Bao's cheerful "Giddy up!", Yi An set off smoothly and charged towards Qiao Chen's direction.

His eyes gleamed with a competitive spirit.

Qiao Chen and Su Xiaoyu were having a good time when suddenly they felt a gust of wind and a dark shadow darted past them.

Qiao Chen was stunned for a moment, then reacted and said to Su Xiaoyu on his shoulder, "Should we have a competition?"

Su Xiaoyu nodded hurriedly, like a chick pecking at rice.

And so began the competition between the two men, a contest of their competitive spirit.

The headmaster watched from a distance, thoughtfully adjusting his glasses.

He began to have some doubts about whether he was organizing a life experience activity or a parent-child competition.

The outcome was never decided; instead, all the energy was exhausted before even experiencing life.

Duan Sisi looked at Qiao Chen, who was sprawled on the grass, and Su Xiaoyu, who was excitedly waving her arms and legs to the side, and she was really at a loss for words.

"Tell me, if you use up all your energy so early, what are we going to do with our tents?!"

She glanced at the families around her, who were all setting up their tents in an orderly manner, and said somewhat anxiously.

Qiao Chen looked up listlessly, pointed in one direction and said, "There's no one building there either!"

Duan Sisi looked in the direction he was pointing, and realized that the person he was pointing to was none other than Yi An.

She sighed deeply. "You rest here and watch over Xiaoyu. I'll go get some water and start cooking."

Before leaving, she was still a little worried about Su Xiaoyu's special personality, and repeatedly reminded Qiao Chen: "Keep an eye on Xiaoyu and don't let her run around."

Qiao Chen responded to each of them, turned around, and gripped Su Xiaoyu's clothes tightly, as if he were holding a puppy's leash.

As Lin Hui watched Duan Sisi walk away, she immediately coughed lightly, attracting Gao Shuyun's attention, and they exchanged a glance.

Gao Shuyun immediately understood what was going on, turned to look at Su Xiaoyu, and walked over slowly with a smile on her face.

"Xiaoyu's dad".

She struck up a conversation with him enthusiastically.

Qiao Chen was stunned for a moment. When she saw a smiling face appear in her line of sight, she immediately jumped up from the ground.

Perhaps he was too flustered, because he did not correct Gao Shuyun's words.

Gao Shuyun said somewhat embarrassedly, "Xiaoyu's dad, I don't really know how to set up a tent, and my husband isn't here. I'm all alone. Could you help me out?"

She looked at him expectantly, waiting for his answer.

Qiao Chen wanted to refuse, but after hearing what she had said and seeing the chaos there, she felt it wouldn't be right not to help, so she agreed.

"Okay, wait a moment."

Gao Shuyun immediately beamed with joy, "Thank you so much, Xiaoyu's dad!"

She turned and walked away with a big smile, not forgetting to secretly give Lin Hui an OK sign.

Remembering what Duan Sisi had told him before she left, Qiao Chen instructed Su Xiaoyu, "Uncle is going over there to help Auntie set up the tent. You sit here and wait for Uncle, okay?"

Su Xiaoyu stared intently in Gao Shuyun's direction, her face cold and gloomy, no longer the cheerful person she had been before.

Qiao Chen was also puzzled by her appearance, but since she did not refuse, he assumed that she had agreed.

"You must stay here and behave well. Don't run around. If you get lost, you won't be able to see your mother again."

He was still worried, so he said a few more words to scare her before she felt at ease and went to see Gao Shuyun.

In his mind, children of that age are timid and easily frightened by the threat that "if you don't behave, the big bad wolf will take you away."

But he never expected that Su Xiaoyu was not an ordinary child at all.

"You help me set up the tent, I'll take care of the rest."

Qiao Chen spoke politely to Gao Shuyun.

"Thank you so much, Xiaoyu's dad. I know absolutely nothing about this stuff, I really don't understand it."

While expressing her gratitude, Gao Shuyun winked at Lin Hui.

Lin Hui glanced around and saw that everyone was busy with their own tents and had no time to pay attention to anything else. She also saw that Su Xiaoyu was sitting alone in the tent, so she walked over without worry.

"Are you Su Xiaoyu?"

She used to take the initiative to talk to Su Xiaoyu.

But Su Xiaoyu ignored her.

Lin Hui was annoyed by her impolite attitude, but she still maintained a kind and amiable auntie demeanor on the surface.

"Your mother, Su Yan, just asked me to pass on a message to you. She said her flight was delayed and she's back. She's waiting for you on that little hill over there."

After she finished speaking, she thought Su Xiaoyu would immediately run over there with great joy, but to her surprise, Su Xiaoyu didn't move at all and didn't react at all.

Lin Hui was puzzled.

Don't you want to find your mother?

Su Xiaoyu ignored her and fiddled with her paintbrush.

Lin Hui was getting impatient and her tone became harsher.

“If you don’t go to your mother, she’ll probably be sad and angry, and then she’ll leave.”

Su Xiaoyu still did not react at all.

Lin Huizhen didn't know what to do, so she stood up and threw down a sentence.

"Your mother asked me to deliver this to you, and I've already told you. Whether you go or not is up to you!"

She turned and left, returning to Yi Kangle's place, glancing at Su Xiaoyu out of the corner of her eye from time to time.

Su Xiaoyu sat there quietly, drawing without moving, and she almost thought Su Xiaoyu was deaf.

Just then, Su Xiaoyu suddenly moved. Holding the painting, she ran in the direction Lin Hui had indicated.

Lin Hui couldn't help but smile, but she tried hard to keep her lips closed so as not to show it.

When Duan Sisi returned with water, she found the place deserted. Panicked, she turned around and saw Qiao Chen walking towards her.

She immediately felt relieved.

As Qiao Chen walked towards her, she complained, "Look at these parents. It's just a child, yet they use all sorts of luxury brands. Is it really necessary? If they spoil the child, we can't raise our children like this in the future."

Duan Sisi smiled secretly, wondering what he had been looking at and what had triggered him.

According to what she heard, the children in this kindergarten were all young masters and ladies from wealthy and powerful families in ancient times, so it was only natural that they would eat, drink, and use luxurious things.

She glanced behind Qiao Chen and asked, "Where's Xiaoyu?"
