Chapter Twenty-One: Did They Hit My Daughter?



The curtains weren't drawn quite evenly, leaving a small gap that allowed them to see what was inside.

Two pairs of dark, bright eyes stared intently at the two people inside the room.

Amidst screams, Yi Kangle still shrank back in fright. But Su Xiaoyu, the bold one, showed no fear whatsoever; instead, her eyes gleamed with excitement.

Yi Kangle exclaimed "Wow!" and turned to look at Su Xiaoyu with excitement.

"Your mother looks like a female knight-errant!"

Su Xiaoyu's face beamed with pride, and her two little braids swayed back and forth, revealing her arrogance.

Su Yan breathed a heavy sigh of relief, rubbed her slightly sore wrists, and leaned casually against the cabinet, putting on her bracelet.

Gao Shuyun lay sprawled on the ground, her hair disheveled and her makeup ruined.

She cried and shouted at Su Yan, "Call the police! I want to call the police!"

Su Yan showed no fear whatsoever; instead, a faint smile appeared on her face.

"Fine, I'll also show the police the CCTV footage of you hitting my daughter, so we can see who's been locked up longer, you or me."

Gao Shuyun found it hard to believe that these words came from her mouth. Seeing that this trick was not working, she quickly changed her words.

"Do you know who my husband is? He's the CEO of Jiayuan Real Estate!"

"Oh," Su Yan replied casually, "Jiayuan Real Estate, right? I understand."

She turned around, opened the door, and, ignoring the stares of those around her, pulled Su Xiaoyu away.

As she walked, she took out her phone and dialed a number.

“Jiayuan Real Estate rejected my investment project.”
