Duan Sisi's car is a limited edition ice-blue BMW Mini, which is rumored to be the mistress's car.
Ever since she was in school, she has been particularly fascinated by this kind of small and unique car model.
Su Yan had tried to persuade her about the cramped space inside the Mini, but she was always stubborn and wouldn't give up until she hit a wall.
Fortunately, after two years of operation, no major problems have arisen.
As Duan Sisi fastened her seatbelt, she jokingly said with a smile, "This was really a close call. My heart was almost stopped by this girl."
After saying that, she remembered something else and turned to ask Su Yan, "Hey, by the way! Did you come back this time determined to get revenge on your scumbag ex-husband?"
Su Yan was taken aback when she heard the question, and subconsciously glanced at Su Xiaoyu in the back seat.
"I've found information about the person who stole Chenchen; she's in M City."
Her voice lowered involuntarily, filled with an indescribable sadness.
Five years ago, she fled the country because she was pregnant.
She gave birth to a son and a daughter with a stranger abroad. But to her utter shock, on the day of her delivery, her son was silently stolen.
Over the years, she has been relentlessly investigating this matter and inquiring about everything concerning her son.
Persistence pays off, and a week ago she finally found out.
Duan Sisi was speechless for a moment, not knowing what to say.
Over the years, she has said almost everything imaginable—comforting, encouraging, and uplifting.
Now, she silently patted Su Yan's shoulder, giving her strength.
Su Yan smiled casually, "Don't worry, I will definitely find my son. But before that, please take me to the mansion coffee shop, my dear driver."
One sentence brought life back to the previously oppressive atmosphere inside the car.
Duan Sisi listened as she received flattering words while being shamelessly bossed around.
"You workaholic! You start working as soon as you get back to the country, and I don't know where all these scumbags come from, waiting for you to deal with them!"
She couldn't help but complain.
“There are always scumbags every year, but there seem to be more this year than ever,” Su Yan joked with a smile. “Let’s get going, driver.”
The car drove steadily on the highway. Su Xiaoyu lowered her head, her gaze fixed on the butterfly pendant in her hand.
She glanced at Su Yan's bag, hesitated for a moment, and quietly put the butterfly pendant into the bag.
Whether it was because she felt guilty or something else, while doing this, her flustered little eyes kept glancing at Su Yan, and her nervous little hands were fidgeting with the hem of her skirt.
Once it was inside, she sat there calmly with her head down, a secret smile playing on her lips.
Half an hour later, Duan Sisi's car came to a smooth stop in front of the mansion coffee shop.
"Xiaoyu, please take her to kindergarten."
Su Yan laughed as she unbuckled her seatbelt.
Duan Sisi looked helpless. "You've just returned to the country, can't you get some rest and spend more time with Xiaoyu?"
She'd been rambling on about this the whole way.
"The customer is waiting, we can't just stand them up."
Su Yan turned to get her bag and saw Su Xiaoyu looking out the window, refusing to even glance at her.
"Xiaoyu, Mommy is leaving," she said softly.
Su Xiaoyu still didn't react at all.
A clear sense of disappointment appeared in Su Yan's eyes. She sighed heavily, opened the door, and walked out.
"If you have nowhere to go tonight, come to my place! Did you hear me?!"
Duan Sisi called out to her retreating figure, still worried.
Su Yan waved casually and entered the coffee shop without looking back.
Su Xiaoyu slowly turned her head only after she entered the coffee shop.
