Lin Hui led Yi Kangle back victoriously. Although Yi An did not chase after them, his date with Su Yan could no longer proceed after their antics.
On the way back, Lin Hui almost burst out laughing.
Even when the production manager called to condemn her for taking Yi Kangle away at the last minute and said there wouldn't be a suitable replacement, it didn't affect her mood at all.
As Lin Hui was driving steadily home, another car suddenly cut in from behind and, without saying a word, forced her car to stop.
Caught off guard, Lin Hui stumbled and her head hit the seat in front of her.
She immediately flew into a rage and yelled, "How do you drive! Do you even know how to drive?!"
The driver also looked aggrieved. "Ms. Lin, a car suddenly cut in front of us. I couldn't do anything about it. Are you and Xiaobao alright?"
Lin Hui was about to curse again in annoyance, but when she turned her head, she saw several burly men getting out of the car that was blocking their way.
Lin Hui was so frightened that she couldn't say a word. Trembling, she pointed at the driver and stammered, "Close the door quickly, close the door!"
But by the time the driver reacted quickly, it was too late.
The big man yanked open the car door and rushed towards Yi Kangle without saying a word, carrying him away.
Yi Kangle was so frightened that his legs went weak, let alone resist.
He cried and wailed, repeatedly calling out, "Mommy!"
Lin Hui was so frightened that she lost her mind. She watched helplessly as Yi Kangle was carried away, and dared not do anything.
The big man carried Yi Kangle to his car.
Just as Yi Kangle was about to burst into tears, he saw Wu Fen in the car.
"Grandma Wu?"
He called out and buried his face in Wu Fen's arms, bursting into tears of grievance.
Wu Fen scolded the burly man who brought Yi Kangle, "I told you not to scare the child! How could you have frightened him like this!"
The burly man hadn't expected things to turn into a child-snatching incident. He scratched his head sheepishly and said kindly to Yi Kangle, "Little Bao, Uncle didn't mean to hurt you. Don't be afraid, okay?"
The more he said that, the more frightened Yi Kangle became, shrinking into Wu Fen's arms.
Wu Fen held Yi Kangle tightly, comforting him while instructing the burly man, "Go and explain things to Miss Lin, and don't scare her anymore."
The big man hurriedly turned around and went to find Lin Hui.
Lin Hui's legs went weak when she saw them return. She shouted, "I've given you the child, what else do you want!"
The big man didn't react for a moment when he heard her awkward words.
"Miss Lin, don't be afraid. We were sent by Madam to take Xiaobao home."
Lin Hui was stunned. She stared at the big man for a long time, then her aura intensified.
"How can you pick up a child like this! Is this how you pick someone up? This is snatching a child! Did Aunt Meng tell you to do this?"
The big man listened to the scolding and didn't dare to talk back, but he was wondering to himself: You didn't do anything, and you even seemed to want to trade your child for your own life. Does that make you a mother?
After Lin Hui finished scolding, she still felt uncomfortable. Thinking about this incident made her furious.
She followed Wu Fen and the others in their car and went directly to the Yi family villa to demand an explanation.
Wu Fen carried Yi Kangle through the door, greeted Meng Jie who was sitting on the sofa, and then hurried upstairs.
Lin Hui hurriedly followed behind, but still couldn't catch up with Wu Fen's pace.
She looked at Meng Jie with a somewhat aggrieved expression.
"Auntie, what do you mean by this?"
Meng Jie casually pointed to the seat opposite the sofa, "Sit down first, then you can criticize me for my work."
Lin Hui immediately sensed the dissatisfaction in her words, and all her imposing manner vanished, replaced by trembling fear.

Meng Jie had already reported what happened on the road, and seeing her now acting like a loving mother who was thinking of Yi Kangle, I couldn't help but sneer.

Lin Hui was speechless, staring at her blankly, at a loss for what to do.
Meng Jie didn't say a word, didn't even glance at her, as if she didn't exist.
Lin Hui felt a sense of panic begin to creep in, and she couldn't even sit still.
"Auntie, I don't know what I did that made you misunderstand. Please tell me so I can explain it to you properly."
"Since you want to explain, I'll give you a chance."
Meng Jie relented and casually looked up at her, "How are you going to explain to me that you used Xiao Bao to deal with Su Yan?"
Lin Hui was completely stunned. "How did you know?"
She accidentally blurted out her true feelings, and immediately covered her mouth, her face full of regret.
Meng Jie looked at her with a forced smile, "I gave you a chance, but not for you to exploit the child!"
Although she didn't shout it, her words inexplicably made Lin Hui tremble, and fear filled her eyes.
"Auntie, I was wrong, I really know I was wrong. I was just too scared, I was afraid Su Yan would take An Ge away."
Meng Jie ignored her cries and pleas, and said to herself, "I will take care of Xiao Bao for the time being. You can take care of him again when you are officially married into the family."
Lin Hui panicked completely. Yi Kangle was her trump card against Su Yan. Now that he was gone, how could she get Yi An and marry into the Yi family?
