Looking at Su Yan, who was laughing nonstop after coming out of the psychologist's office, Yi An couldn't help but ask, "What did she say to you? Why are you laughing like that?"
Su Yan couldn't hold back any longer after he asked her that.
"He didn't say anything."
To avoid him pressing her for more information, Su Yan changed the subject: "Let's go eat something delicious! I know a really good place! I'll take you there!"
Although Yi An still felt there was something fishy going on, seeing Su Yan being unusually cheerful, she complied without asking any questions.
The two arrived at the place Su Yan had mentioned, a roadside stall.
"You've never eaten in a place like this before, have you?" Su Yan asked.
Yi'an looked around at her surroundings and nodded.
"Don't underestimate this place, the taste is even better than what you'd find in a Michelin-starred restaurant!"
Su Yan gave a thumbs up without hesitation.
Yi'an was amused by her, "Then I'll have to try it properly later. You order first, I'm going to the restroom."
Su Yan watched him leave, then focused on the menu, completely unaware that a few thugs at a nearby table had stood up.
"Boss, I'd like one grilled eggplant and one..."
Before Su Yan could even place her order, she caught a glimpse of a group of people with ill intentions out of the corner of her eye.
She pretended not to see it, casually placed her order, and smiled at the owner, saying, "That's all for now, please keep grilling them for me."
The boss glanced at the thugs who had gathered around and realized the problem. He was about to speak when Su Yan interrupted him.
"It's alright, boss, you go and get my food first, food is important."
The boss looked around again before leaving, glancing back every few steps.
As soon as the boss left, a few thugs sat down at Su Yan's table, crossing their legs and acting like hooligans.
"Little beauty, are you all alone? Why don't you play with your brothers?"
The moment he opened his mouth, his unreliable, scoundrel-like manner immediately came through.
Su Yan curled her lips into a smile, glancing sideways at them. "I want to play, do you really dare?"
The thugs laughed loudly, "What's there to be afraid of! We're seasoned criminals, why would we be afraid of a defenseless little girl like you?"
Yi An spotted them as soon as she finished using the restroom, and walked over quickly with a gloomy face.
"What are you doing? Get out of here right now!"
The thug completely ignored his words, looking at him with a mocking smile: "Where did you come from? Don't interfere with my good time, get lost!"
He pointed at Yi'an impatiently and cursed.
Su Yan's eyes sharpened, and she raised her hand, quickly grabbing his fingers and twisting them onto the table.
Who are you referring to?
A piercing scream rang out, drawing the attention of many onlookers.
The stall owner was initially worried that Su Yan would suffer a loss, but when he saw that the one screaming was that thug, he lost interest in meddling and comforted the other diners at the other tables to continue eating normally.
Su Yan smiled and approached the thug, patting his face. "Didn't you do your research before coming out looking for trouble?"
Her actions clearly intimidated the other thugs, who looked at each other, unsure whether they should step forward.
The thug forced a smile and said, "Sister, Mom! I was blind and didn't recognize your greatness. Please forgive me, okay?"
Su Yan was in a rare good mood and was easy to talk to. She casually tossed him aside and impatiently uttered a single word: "Get lost."
The thug rubbed his fingers, got up sheepishly, and walked back with his companion.
The other thugs, still undecided, whispered, "Are we really going?"
The thug glanced at the empty bottle on the table next to him and suddenly roared, "What the hell are you doing here!"
He grabbed it and threw it at Su Yan.
He grimaced and used all his strength, determined not to stop until he had cracked Su Yan's head open.
Su Yan only felt a dark shadow flash before her eyes, and before she could react, the wine bottle shattered beside her ear.
She turned her head to look at the broad body and the shattered glass shards, and stood there stunned.
"Yi'an! Yi'an!"
Su Yan stood up abruptly to check Yi An's wound.
Fortunately, the blow was deflected, and the bottle hit his shoulder, only severing his neck and leaving him otherwise unharmed.
"I'm fine, as long as you're alright."
As soon as Yi An finished speaking, Su Yan grabbed the unopened beer bottle on the table and dashed over like a gust of wind.
"You dare touch my man? Don't you want to live anymore?!"
The beer bottle shattered right in front of the thug, the spilled beer containing shards of glass.
The thug turned to run, but Su Yan grabbed his hair and slammed him onto the table.
Seeing Su Yan's furious eyes, the thug was terrified and cried out, "Mom! Mom, have mercy!"
"Calling upon your ancestors won't help!"
Su Yan shouted angrily and slammed the glass shard in her hand toward his face.
Desperate to save his life, the thug shouted, "Someone hired me! Someone hired me!"
The sound of glass shards falling followed the last note.
The thug tentatively opened his eyes a crack, watching the shard of glass embedded in the table right in front of him, and gasped for breath, still shaken.
Su Yan's intimidating voice rang in my ears again: "Who is it?"
Back home, Yi'an's mind kept replaying the scene of Su Yan's furious act for him.
He watched intently as Su Yan retrieved the first-aid kit and disinfected the scratches on his neck.
Looking at her beautiful face so close to his, Yi An couldn't help but ask, "Was what you said tonight true?"
"What did you say?"
Su Yan didn't even glance at him, turning her head to rummage through the first-aid kit for bandages.
"It's that line, 'I'm your man.'"
As soon as Yi An spoke, Su Yan suddenly stopped applying the band-aid.
Seeing her expressionless face, Yi An panicked a little and immediately said, "It's okay if you don't want to answer, maybe I misheard..."
The last syllable was completely silenced by a kiss.
The softness lingered for a moment, then quietly vanished.
While Yi Anmeng stood there, unable to believe what was happening, Su Yan had already turned around and retrieved the contract from the drawer.
In front of Yi An, she tore the contract into pieces.
"Stop playing games, do you dare to play for real?"
Looking at her smiling face, Yi An's Adam's apple bobbed, and he directly grabbed her head with his large hand.
All the answers have been contained in this burning kiss.
Su Yan raised the corners of her mouth and leaned against him, the two of them falling back onto the sofa together.
The gentle kiss, which started as a light, slow lick, gradually became wild and violent, igniting the suppressed emotions in both of them.
The relentless struggle continued until they reached the soft, inviting end of the journey in the bedroom.
