The soldiers behind were stunned by the sudden attack.
Seeing his companions fall one by one into pools of blood, he dared not charge forward for a moment.
Lu Fei's musketeer squad was small in number.
But they have powerful firepower, are well-trained, and have excellent teamwork.
They lined up in three rows and took turns firing.
Every shot was precisely aimed.
Bullets rained down on the enemy, catching them completely off guard.
Some soldiers didn't even have time to let out a scream.
He was hit by a bullet, fell to the ground, twitched a few times, and then became still.
The general saw that his elite troops were being suppressed by Lu Fei's musketeers.
Enraged, he drew his sword, pointed it forward, and shouted at the top of his lungs:
"Charge! Anyone who retreats will be killed on sight!"
Under the general's coercion and enticement, the soldiers once again gritted their teeth and launched a charge.
But the musketeers' firepower was simply too fierce; the dense bullets intertwined to form a deadly net.
They couldn't get close at all and could only watch helplessly as they walked step by step toward death.
Just then, the sound of thunderous hooves came from afar.
Like rumbling thunder, the ground trembled more and more violently.
Amidst the rising dust, a cavalry column swept in like a black torrent.
They were clad in iron armor and wielded sharp sabers, which reflected a chilling light in the sunlight.
"It's Zhang Xun's cavalry battalion!"
Upon seeing this, Lu Fei's spirits lifted, and he shouted loudly to cheer on his people.
Zhang Xun took the lead, leading his cavalry battalion like a sharp knife to penetrate the enemy's flank.
Warhorses neighed, kicking up clouds of dust; swords gleamed, their cold light flashing.
The cavalrymen brandished their sharp sabers, unstoppable like tigers descending a mountain.
Their armor, gleaming coldly in the sunlight, shone through their bodies.
Like a grim reaper from hell, reaping the lives of his enemies.
Caught off guard, the enemy troops were thrown into chaos and their horses were thrown into disarray.
The once orderly formation was shattered, like pieces of paper torn apart by a gale.
They were attacked from both sides, panicked, and immediately fell into chaos.
Fear spread among the soldiers like a plague, and desperate screams echoed everywhere.
The once orderly formation crumbled in an instant.
The soldiers abandoned their armor and weapons, crying and fleeing in all directions, trampling each other.
Some people were even trampled to death by their own people; the scene was chaotic, like a living hell.
The general was shocked to see that his elite troops were so easily defeated.
He was so angry that his face turned ashen and his lips trembled.
Knowing that the situation was hopeless, he hurriedly turned his horse around, wanting to escape this hellish scene.
He gripped the horse's belly tightly with his legs, and the whip lashed the horse's rump hard.
The warhorse, in pain, let out a mournful whinny and galloped away.
"You son of a bitch, trying to run away?"
Lu Fei, with his sharp eyes, immediately spotted the enemy general trying to slip away with his tail between his legs.
With a loud roar, he spurred his horse's flanks, and the warhorse took off in pursuit.
The general glanced back and saw Lu Fei chasing after him, cursing under his breath, "What bad luck!"
He lashed the horse a few more times, and the horse, in pain, ran even faster.
"Damn, you're pretty fast!"
Lu Fei cursed and swore from behind, relentlessly pursuing him.
His warhorse was a top-quality steed, exceptionally strong and fast.
As the distance drew closer, Lu Fei felt a surge of secret pleasure.
Once the distance was about right, Lu Fei steadied himself on the swaying horse.
He raised his musket, its dark muzzle steadily aimed at the general's back.
He took a deep breath and pulled the trigger without hesitation.
"Bang!" A gunshot rang out.
The general screamed in agony as he was shot in the back, blood gushing out.
He fell heavily from his horse, twitched a few times on the ground, and then fell still, his fate unknown.
The enemy forces, leaderless, collapsed completely and scattered like stray dogs.
They were utterly defeated, crying and begging for their parents' lives, wishing they had two more legs.
On the battlefield, abandoned weapons and equipment lay scattered everywhere, silently telling the story of the brutality of the battle.
Zhang Xun's cavalry battalion also seized the opportunity to launch a surprise attack.
Wielding his saber, he moved like a tiger among sheep, hacking down the fleeing enemy soldiers as easily as cutting melons and vegetables.
Lu Fei and Zhang Xun joined forces and utterly defeated the elite troops sent by Liu An.
They also captured a large number of soldiers and weapons, thus achieving final victory in this battle.
Looking at the corpses scattered on the ground and the captured weapons, Lu Fei laughed triumphantly:
"You little punk, you're still too green to fight me!"
Zhang Xun also walked over with a smile and patted Lu Fei on the shoulder:
"Well done, kid! That was a great fight!"
“That’s right!” Lu Fei raised an eyebrow, looking smug.
"Don't you even know who trained me?"
"Alright, stop bragging and hurry up and clean up the battlefield and collect the spoils!"
Zhang Xun interrupted him with a smile.
The two directed the soldiers to begin cleaning up the battlefield.
The captured weapons and equipment were piled up like a small mountain.
Looking at these spoils of war, Lu Fei was overjoyed.
"We've made a killing this time!"
Lu Fei rubbed his hands together and said excitedly.
Zhang Xun nodded in agreement.
"Hmph, that old bastard Liu An, this time he tried to steal a chicken but lost the rice instead!"
Lu Fei snorted coldly, a ruthless glint flashing in his eyes.
"If they dare to invade again, I'll make sure they don't leave alive!"
Lu Fei kicked a twitching enemy soldier at his feet.
