Chapter Twenty-Six: Chen Qingwan Returns to Beijing



Did you sleep well last night?

Lu Yan yawned, a trace of tear still clinging to the corner of his eye, clearly not fully awake yet.

Lu Yan glanced at Qiao'er sideways.

Chen Qingwan coughed lightly, interrupting the bickering that the two were about to start.

"Lord Lu, let's get down to business. How's the soap we were working on going?"

“Soap,” Lu Yan stretched.

"Of course there's plenty. Miss Chen, feel free to take it and sell it. I guarantee you'll make a fortune."

"Besides soap, I also want to bring milk tea back to Beijing to sell,"

Chen Qingwan paused, then added.

"And those things you mentioned before... like the chili sauce and stuff, take them all with you."

Lu Yan raised an eyebrow, looking at Chen Qingwan with a half-smile.

"Miss Chen has quite an appetite. Aren't you worried about indigestion?"

Chen Qingwan glared back at him defiantly.

"My digestion is excellent, so there's no need for you to trouble yourself, Lord Lu."

"Alright, since Miss Chen is so sincere, I can't be stingy,"

Lu Yan waved his hand.

"Except for soap, all other goods will be split 55/50, how about that?"

"Deal!" Chen Qingwan readily agreed.
