Chapter 320 I Believe in You

The moment the man saw Master Yun, a fawning smile appeared on his face, and he nodded repeatedly: "Master Yun, you're right, I've already taught her a lesson."

Chu Yunxing glanced at him indifferently, but that one glance sent a chill down the man's spine.

The gesture of offering compliments froze, and a bad premonition welled up in my heart.

He suppressed his inner panic and asked with a smile, "Master Yun, this is just a small matter, why do you need to handle it personally?"

“Since it concerns the company’s cooperation, it’s no small matter.”

Chu Yunxing ignored the man and turned to Bai Wan'er, saying sincerely, "My employee just spoke rudely, and I apologize for what he did."

Unexpectedly, the renowned Master Yun would take the initiative to apologize. Bai Wan'er didn't know how to speak for a moment, and subconsciously shook her head: "This matter has nothing to do with Master Yun."

“Since someone from my company did this, I should naturally take responsibility.”

After Chu Yunxing finished speaking, he looked coldly at the man: "With such disrespect for the company's partners, there is no need for you to stay any longer."

He snapped his fingers, and Assistant Lu immediately understood his boss's meaning, nodding slightly: "Understood."

Assistant Lu turned slightly to the side, gesturing for him to leave with him.

The man trembled and was about to beg for mercy when he saw Chu Yunxing's displeased expression and immediately changed his target.

He looked at Bai Wan'er and pleaded, "Miss Bai, I was blind to your greatness. Everything that happened before was my fault. Miss Bai, please forgive me."

"It's not that I don't want to let you go." Bai Wan'er paused in her speech.

Chu Yunxing glanced at her subconsciously, thinking she was being soft-hearted, and felt a hint of disappointment.

But the next second, Bai Wan'er continued, "Someone like you shouldn't be in my project team in the first place. As for whether you can stay in the company, that's not something I can control."

These words were undoubtedly a death sentence for the man's career at Yunxing Group. He slumped into his chair, his legs completely powerless.

Assistant Lu snapped his fingers, and two bodyguards rushed in and took the man away without giving him any chance to beg for mercy.

The others present subconsciously swallowed, never expecting that Bai Wan'er could be so protected by Master Yun. It seems that they must not let their guard down in the future.

Lin Ran looked at Bai Wan'er with a complicated expression, hesitant to speak.

After the meeting, Chu Yunxing and Bai Wan'er took the elevator together.

After a long silence, Chu Yunxing finally spoke softly, "I'm so sorry about what happened today; it ruined your good mood."

When Chu Yunxing saw the photo, he couldn't help but feel bitterness and anger.

But when he saw the clothes the man was wearing, he felt helpless.

The old man with his back to the camera, isn't that my grandfather?

"Don't you want to ask me about the photos?" Bai Wan'er suddenly asked, a hint of curiosity in her voice.

Chu Yunxing remained completely unresponsive, seemingly not taking it to heart.

"I trust you."

These four words alone shattered Bai Wan'er's heart.

She stared at Chu Yunxing until the elevator's notification sound brought her back to her senses.

The impact of these words on Bai Wan'er was beyond shock; it was as if a complete stranger could so openly express his belief in her.

Since this happened under normal circumstances, Bai Wan'er naturally wouldn't believe it.

But looking at Chu Yunxing's appearance today, she subconsciously concluded that this stern-faced man was not deceiving her.

"We've arrived," Chu Yunxing said softly.

"Thank you for your trust in me." Bai Wan'er had no more words to express, and the simplest and most unadorned words best conveyed her gratitude at this moment.

I don't know if the photos will cause any trouble for my grandfather; I hope he won't blame me.

As Bai Wan'er left, she was still silently thinking about the photo.

Chu Yunxing stared at her retreating figure, unwilling to look away for a long time.

Shen Que stood curiously beside him and said softly, "Master Yun, if you really like Miss Bai, why don't you give it a try?"

Turning to look at her gossipy expression, Chu Yunxing raised an eyebrow slightly: "Then why don't you give it a try?"

This left Shen Que speechless.

Over the course of those five years, she also gave Lu, her special assistant, hints on several occasions.

This blockhead was completely unaware of his true feelings and thought he was joking. So he pretended to be innocent and played around with him.

After a while, Shen Que couldn't tell whether Assistant Lu was genuinely lacking in emotional intelligence or simply unwilling to face himself.

She subconsciously kept this matter to herself, but now that Chu Yunxing had brought it up, she couldn't help but show some panic.

Bai Wan'er returned home, thinking about taking An'an to report the next day, and began to learn about the items and procedures needed for the report.

Ji Feng's phone had inadvertently switched to silent mode, and he couldn't get through to Ji Feng several times in a row, which inevitably made him a little flustered.

Overwhelmed with worry, he went directly to the apartment where Bai Wan'er lived.

"Why did you come here?" Bai Wan'er asked instinctively when she opened the door and saw his anxious look.

"I'm really worried because your phone is not being answered."

Bai Wan'er belatedly picked up her phone and, sure enough, saw several missed calls.

Strangely, besides Ji Fenghe, there was also Chu Yunxing.

She didn't make a fuss, but looked up at Ji Fenghe and said, "Is there something urgent? I've been preparing for An'an's enrollment and haven't had time to check my phone."

Ji Fenghe could clearly sense her distance from him during this period, and a hint of loneliness flashed in his eyes.

"Has An'an already found a school?"

Bai Wan'er nodded: "A friend helped An'an get a spot at Nandu Academy, and she can start school tomorrow."

"Why didn't you tell me about this?"

These words froze Bai Wan'er's hands, and for a moment she didn't even dare to look him in the eye.

She did forget to share with him, and began to realize that she had unknowingly become unwilling to confide too many private matters to Ji Feng.

The relationship between the two people gradually developed cracks at some point, and they grew wider and wider.

By the time they realized it, it was too late to turn back.

"Wan'er, if any of my recent actions have made you uncomfortable, you can tell me anytime. We shouldn't be like this, should we?"

His voice trembled as he suppressed his grief and calmly spoke to Bai Wan'er.

"I'm sorry, I neglected your feelings."
