Chapter 1012 Speeding Through the Underworld

Even weapons conjured by magic crashed to the ground one after another, falling into the crimson flames and obscuring the vision of all the dead souls.

However, the chaotic scene did nothing to dampen their enthusiasm.

The entire underworld trembled because of this battle; its power even surpassed that of the arena, spreading throughout Hell.

This caused the molten lava to surge and the flames to flicker and dart, and countless stalactites to break off and fall, piercing deep into the cracks in the broken earth.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of powerful shockwaves caused the entire arena to shake violently, making the cries of the dead rise and fall unevenly.

until,

The flames suddenly dissipated, and the smoke completely receded.

Viktor slowly emerged from the flames, removing his eerie green armor and reverting to his trench coat form.

He remained with his hands in his pockets, expressionless.

Behind him, a thick, repulsive cloud of smoke slowly dissipated.

In the center of the shattered arena, Hades knelt on one knee, one hand supporting his spear.

Even the flames surrounding him had shrunk considerably and were no longer as fierce as before.

He was clearly exhausted.

At this moment, countless souls who witnessed this scene fell silent.

They seemed to have forgotten to cheer; their faces were filled with shock, and their pupils trembled.

It was as if they had witnessed something they could never believe.

However, Hades was not angry or humiliated by his defeat; instead, he burst into hearty laughter.

It seemed he had finally found some kind of release in this battle, to be able to fight so exhilaratingly.

"You really are different from all the humans I've ever met!"

Yes, he lost.

Although Hades knew that he was not at his peak at the moment.

Because of the gods' schemes, he was forced to accept the seal and could only use his current power.

But a loss is a loss, and Hades will not try to find any reasons to explain his defeat.

He acknowledged that Victor's strength was absolutely comparable to that of a god.

Therefore, he challenged Viktor to a duel.

"Come on, kill me!"

His eyes were full of anticipation as he provoked Viktor's next move with his words.

"When I am resurrected and my seal is broken, we shall fight again!"

Hades wants to fight Victor again.

He was convinced that this human possessed the power to break his seal.

But……

Hades didn't wait for Victor to make a move.

I only heard the human in front of me suddenly say one sentence.

"Remember that friend I mentioned before? She was an elf, and she died later."

"Although, I'm not sure if she's really dead."

These words stunned Hades instantly.

He made an "uh" sound and fell silent.

He didn't seem to immediately grasp Viktor's intention.

No, perhaps it was his instinctive unwillingness to believe it.

The man before him, whom he considered the strongest among humans, had actually entered the Underworld for such a reason.

He was not completely certain until Victor spoke again.

"Can you help me save her life?"

"..."

Hades remained silent for a long time.

Then, he slowly raised his head, and the anger in his chest was rekindled.

"Just...because of this?"

Ha ha.

I feel so powerless.

A human being whom even he could not defeat actually stepped into the depths of the underworld for such a trivial reason.

But what else can he do?

With his current sealed body, he is no match for this human.

Finally, Hades looked up again with a sigh of resignation, and took a deep breath.

"I can't do it."

"The souls of elves are not my concern."

Elves are born of nature, and will ultimately return to nature.

This is the law of nature, and has nothing to do with Hades.

However, upon hearing these words,

Victor did not show any disappointment.

He simply nodded slightly, as if he had already anticipated this answer.

Because he had only asked the question casually.

After all, what if?

"I see."

Having said that, he turned and walked toward the passage leading to the gates of hell, preparing to leave.

Hades was slightly taken aback when he saw Viktor's action.

"Wait a minute, where are you going?"

So you're not going to fight anymore?

He's so powerful, why won't you accept his challenge?!

He was still hoping that Viktor's appearance might restore his strength.

But his question did not make Viktor turn around.

Victor remained facing forward, hands in his pockets.

A calm voice pierced through the flames and drifted into Hades' ears.

“I know about your seal with Persephone.”

This statement stunned Hades once again.

He stared intently at Viktor's retreating figure, as if he could see him gradually merging into the raging flames.

"Breaking your seal is too troublesome; it would be better to directly address the root cause of the seal."

The black trench coat shone brightly against the backdrop of the flames, resembling a light flame floating in the air.

"I just finished beating you, I wasn't satisfied."

"It's time to go up to heaven and beat up your brother."
