Chapter 1053 The True Ending – Author's Closing Remarks

Although I sometimes miss updates due to a lack of inspiration and time to polish my work, I have never missed an update.

I've updated for 526 consecutive days. I wouldn't dare say if this achievement is the best on Tomato, but I certainly think I'm very strong.

Simply updating regularly cannot be considered a plus.

On the contrary, the lack of breaks in updates has led to a decline in the quality of the chapters, which is a clear drawback.

Because there wasn't enough time to refine it, each update was always a last-minute, last-minute decision.

This sometimes leads to a plot that I think could be concluded in one chapter being stretched into two or even three chapters.

That's why I once said that I expected it to end on August 20th, because I genuinely believed that at the time, it could be finished by August 20th.

Unfortunately, I overlooked my procrastination problem, which led to slow and inadequate updates, causing a story that could have been finished in one day to drag on for two or three days.

In the end, I even had to force the story to end by updating it in bursts.

I could say that I paid more attention to details, but the problem of not having time to polish it was indeed obvious.

When I first started creating, I had a large backlog of drafts, so I could consistently update at 6 a.m.

I believe my quality was very good at that time.

Even if I don't finish writing it on time, I still have enough time to polish it.

Once I ran out of drafts, my quality started to decline.

It was probably around that time that reader traffic began to decrease significantly.

Well... without exaggeration, in the early stages of this book, which was around July or August of last year...

"The Evil God's Lackey" once garnered 1.5 million reads.

My readership ranked in the top ten across the entire website.

At that time, the book was called "Starting Hand Overposition".

So when my traffic dropped, I was also depressed and started to give up on myself.

Since things have come to this, let's just keep hitting the right spots.

However, after finally realizing what I had learned and thinking about it carefully, I realized that it had actually taught me some valuable lessons.

The value of the statement, "I have been to the summit and I have been to the trough, and both have benefited me greatly," continues to grow.

Maybe I'll get rid of this bad habit in my next book.

Okay, after saying so much, there's really nothing more to say.

I doubt any author could write a ten-thousand-word epilogue like me.

The entire closing remarks were written while I was up all night. From the time I started brainstorming ideas at 2 AM until now, it's already 5:30 AM.

Overall, if I were to evaluate my own work, I wouldn't consider "The Evil God's Lackey" to be perfect.

But people always learn more lessons from their stumbles and falls.

It was my first work, and I consider it my first work.

As for my future creative work, let me continue to improve.

Although I don't know when I'll start writing a new book, maybe I'll take a six-month break?

I took a break until April of the following year, which coincided with the creation of this book.

Well, it seems like passing on traditions isn't entirely out of the question.

After much back and forth, I wrote a 10,000-word author's note, plus 5,000 words of additional plot information, bringing the total to 15,000 words.

I wrote 22,000 words yesterday, and today I wrote from 5:30 pm yesterday to 5:30 am this morning.

It went straight to nearly 28,000 words.

My arm is constantly sore and painful.

After finishing writing these past two days, I'm afraid I won't want to touch the computer for a long time.

Alright, let's leave the end of this book for this final moment.

Let me say goodbye with one of my favorite quotes.

The green hills remain unchanged, and the clear waters flow forever.

us,

Until next time!
