Chapter 12 Because I Know How to Make Money

"Professor Victor, I...I can't do it."

Hene quickly shook her head, lowered her head, and didn't dare to look at Viktor even once.

“Listen to me, Henne.”

“I’ve had you sit in on my lectures these past few days so you can learn how to give a good lesson.”

Victor placed his hand on Heni's shoulder, and he could clearly feel her petite body tremble slightly.

Hene looked up, her eyes filled with unspoken worry.

"Professor, I'm afraid I won't do a good job... and it will affect your reputation."

"Public opinion?"

Does he have a good reputation?

While this statement may seem like self-deprecation, he genuinely doesn't care much about public opinion.

Victor gently patted Hennie's back, calming her trembling body down slightly.

The reassurance worked, he added.

"Go."

He knew that no matter how much he said to Hene, this naturally timid little lamb would not agree.

Therefore, Viktor chose a commanding tone rather than a tone of negotiation.

Henney knew she couldn't refuse the professor.

He'll be unhappy if I teach him...

Hene took a deep breath, steeled herself, and pushed open the classroom door.

The previously noisy room quickly quieted down, but the students couldn't help but feel puzzled when they saw Hennie walk onto the podium.

Where is the professor?

Why was his teaching assistant standing on the podium?

Henney felt immense pressure as she sensed the students' gazes lingering on her.

"that……"

"The professor has something to do today, so... I'll be teaching the class in his place..."

The voice grew softer and softer until the last two words were barely audible, so soft that even she could barely hear them herself.

The words were like a bomb dropped on a calm lake.

Accompanied by the splashing sounds in the water, the fish chirped and chattered.

"That can't be..."

"She's just a teaching assistant, how can she teach in place of the professor?"

"Putting aside whether the professor gave permission, does she even have the professor's authority?"

"We want Professor Victor to teach us! Can you take responsibility if our grades drop?!"

Hennie was so upset by the comments from the students in the audience that she couldn't lift her head. She kept her head down, looking like a punching bag.

Her eyes darted around in a panic, as if she wanted to find a crack in the ground to disappear into.

Waaah... Professor Victor, I can't do it, I really can't...

Professor, please come back soon...

"Yes...no..."

"Quiet!"

The sudden sound startled Henne, and she quietly raised her head.

At some point, Erica, who was sitting in front, stood up.

She was surrounded by magical ripples, and an intricate magic circle floated in front of her.

Hene had seen that magic circle before.

That's a silencing spell.

Apart from the user, no living being within the control area can make any sound.

“Hernie, please continue.”

Waaaaah, Erica, thank you!

She was incredibly grateful for Erica's help, but at the same time, she felt a pang of guilt.

She had spoken ill of Erica on the very day the professor arrived.

Unexpectedly, the other party actually came to my rescue this time.

I'll definitely tell you the exam scope in advance next time!

Hene had already figured out how to repay Erica.

"good."

Viktor leaned against the door, fully aware of everything that was happening inside.

Erica's help surprised Victor but also pleased him greatly, while Henney's fear was understandable.

He had hoped that the pressure from the students would help Heni mature quickly, but now it seems that the effect will be the opposite.

But having Henney teach was a last resort.

He will be leaving the city with Gwen tomorrow, for a period of up to half a month, or at least a week.

In any case, if he wanted to keep his professorship, he couldn't abandon the courses for these students.

Then Victor thought of Hennie.

His lessons were written by Henney herself, so there's absolutely no problem with his ability.

The only thing to worry about is her timidity.

He needed Henne to overcome this herself and make her understand that she was capable of teaching these students well.

With Erica's help, the classroom quieted down.

Hene took a deep breath to calm herself down and finally mustered the courage to begin her lecture.

She was speaking from a prepared speech, which she had already memorized.

Soon, Heni found her rhythm and became increasingly adept at lecturing.

Viktor, who had been secretly watching the whole thing, nodded. Heni was undoubtedly talented when it came to lecturing.

The students went from initial skepticism to confusion, and finally to surprise.

They realized that Henne's pacing was perfect, giving people a certain feeling.

It was as if Professor Victor was giving a lecture in person.

In the end, they were all completely absorbed in Henne's class.

In the classroom, only Henney's speech and the sound of pen and ink writing on the books remained.

As Henny was speaking, she suddenly paused.

This section requires the teacher to demonstrate a magic trick.

Second-tier spell: [Shattered Star]

Because Professor Victor was a powerful third-tier mage, she prepared her lessons from Professor Victor's perspective.

Unexpectedly, this turned out to be a stumbling block for myself.

She herself was just a magic apprentice.

Even knowing the theory behind this magic, she lacked the magical power to use it.
