Angus is dead.
That renowned knight of the North, famous throughout the empire, spent decades establishing stable towns across the northern frontier and protecting hundreds of thousands of people.
He died just like that.
Silence seemed to blend into the wind and snow, settling on the heads of every knight throughout the entire northern frontier.
All the knights in the entire northern frontier were plunged into endless sorrow.
They faced the sky and paid their respects in silence.
Let us mourn this great knight who guarded the northern frontier.
He did indeed succeed in safeguarding peace in the northern border region.
This snowfield has been guarded for over thirty years, nurturing generation after generation of powerful knights.
In the hearts of all the knights of the North, Angus was like a teacher and a father.
Strict, but effective.
Sadness and anger surged into the entire snowfield like a tidal wave, leaving the knights with a complex mix of emotions.
At this moment, all the knights standing in front of the Delin family fortress removed their helmets and lowered their heads.
Within minutes, the wind and snow seemed to intensify, the air became much more oppressive, and time, like a slowly turning gear, gradually passed.
Gwen raised her head again, looked at Jashy, and said in a calm voice:
"He was alive just now."
"Just now, my father stopped breathing."
Jia Xiu's calm voice rang out, and there seemed to be little grief in his tone.
"Besides, even if he hadn't died, do you think your father could still be called 'alive' in that state?"
After his encounter with Viktor, Angus became disoriented and even lost his most basic rationality.
If it takes a long time to recover, then it can no longer be called 'alive'.
Even so, everyone knew the truth in their hearts.
Living and dying are two different concepts.
If Angus is alive, then Viktor only injured Angus.
But Angus is now dead.
Regardless of the true cause of death, the label of premeditated murder of a meritorious official of the empire will be firmly attached to Viktor's head for a long time to come.
Jashu's appearance was like hammering the nail that had been driven into the wooden board, firmly sealing Viktor's crime of murder.
Angus did indeed do some unethical things.
But,
The dead should be respected.
Moreover, in the true sense of his duty, Angus had not done anything heinous.
He was simply indifferent to the lives of those useless residents.
At this point, no matter what reason you give, it is no match for Angus's 'death'.
The other person is already dead, even if his crimes are discovered.
Angus's death is a fact.
Jia Xiu spoke slowly.
"The news has spread throughout the entire Northern Territory, and it won't be long before all the knights in the territory arrive."
"Gwen, are you really going to continue protecting that sinner?"
Gwen listened to Jia Xiu's every word, biting her lip, her brows furrowed, her eyes fixed on him.
What exactly caused Angus's death? Was he truly dead or did he fake it?
She couldn't tell.
Gwen stared into Jashy's eyes, and it seemed she saw a victor's smile in them.
but……
"Have you said enough? How about I say a few words too?"
A cold voice came from behind Gwen, and despite the howling wind and snow, the voice was crystal clear to Jash and the knights.
Even though we were far apart, the intense, piercing chill penetrated deep into my bones.
The giant white bird transformed into a hurricane, turning into white runes that were re-engraved on Victor's trench coat.
But he did not land; instead, he stood steadily in mid-air.
The air beneath his feet seemed to swirl and entwine, carrying white crystals that formed steps beneath his feet.
One step, two steps, like a dancer gracefully exiting the stage in the wind, she walked forward.
He stepped over Gwen, and he stepped over the Knight.
Before the knights could react, Victor had already walked up to Jash.
Countless knights saw Victor appear behind them.
At this moment, he had already penetrated deep into the knights' encirclement.
As if suddenly realizing something, they all drew their swords.
"Protect Young Master Jia Xiu!"
With a shout, the knights, weapons in hand, surged toward Victor through the light snow.
But Victor didn't move an inch.
A barrier of wind instantly rose up from all around, and the white beneath their feet was also stirred up by the huge storm, keeping the knights outside.
The wind barrier was transparent, and even through the scattered white stars, the knights could still see Victor.
But they just couldn't break through and get inside.
All the knights could only watch helplessly as Victor and Jash confronted each other.
The knight pushing the wheelchair behind Jia Xiu was already so frightened that he sat down on the ground, trembling all over.
Victor looked into Jashu's smiling eyes and slowly spoke:
"Leaving aside how Angus died, you seem to have forgotten something."
A sharp glint flashed in Viktor's eyes, as if Death had already raised its scythe, ready to fall.
"Have you ever thought that I am a mage?"
The symbol on his chest, representing the mage councilor, began to shimmer, exuding a powerful magical aura.
But Jashu remained calm, looking at Viktor and narrowing his eyes.
In an instant, a bright blue light suddenly flashed in Viktor's eyes.
Instantly, the ground was covered by a huge magic circle, glowing with a thick black light, and even the slight wind and snow stopped.
